Alright-y, It's a good thing I finished both shows then haha (minus the last season of Scrubs. I wont even attempt to watch any more of that)

I'll fill out a character sheet tomorrow, since It's already 1:30 AM here.

I think it'd be reasonable to say the janitor does a lot of general housekeeping stuff for the ship - I mean, in Futurama Scruffy is just Scruffy, but I think for this to work it needs to be a liiiiittle more serious than a FOX animated series.

Quite, indeed. Haha. I've not seen the last season of Scrubs either, so we're in the same boat there. But I did see the last season of Futurama and it made me so sad face. :(

That's fine! It's 2:30 A.M. here... heh. I should probably sleep earlier. >_>

I actually intend for the Janitor to be the captain of the ship. Eheh... Heheheh. But, I guess that depends on the person Gargoyle makes. :P

But, yeah, what Ex said. I think, personality wise, a Scruffy or Neil Flynn would be perfect... but he does have to do some of the housekeeping stuff. *Nods* I mean, I have a whole episode planned that involves the Janitor and his Janitorial closet... if you'd like more info on that and what I expect from the Janitor position itself, then I'll gladly PM you the deets. :)

If you're referring to the 9th season, don't bother. It's not worth watching.

Personally, I choose to believe it doesn't exist.

Edit the CS to add the relationship survey (though I have yet to fill it yet) and make my character one of the people who had been with the Second Company since it started. Ya know, one of those people. And yes, you can call me Red. Most people do anyway.

Last day of classes for me. Hurrah.

But, that said, I'll be in class for most of the day. I will, however, check up and post in this when necessary!

Also, did I accidentally name this company, "The Second Delivery Company"?

Bah, sorry for the wait.

Name: Carnus Uvenk

Alias: Gator, The Party Gator, Walking Handbag, Jackhole, Jackass, Reptilian Fuckstick, various sexual terms in at least thirteen alien languages.

Gender: Male

Age: 37

Race: Caradochian. A species that can best be described as anthropomorphic space crocodiles/alligators/camans, they were one of the first to make contact with Earth, and since then they've become a common sight in bars, frat houses, heavy metal concerts, mosh pits, ass-kicking contests, back-alley street fights, back-alley dance competitions, back-alley ping pong tournements, and David Bowie conventions (Bowie apparently resembles one of their gods. Why one of their gods resembled a member of a species they had no prior contact with is beyond anyone's explaination.) For the most part they resemble upright-walking crocodilians, with some variations in facial structure similar to those seen on the various subspecies of Earthian breeds. Their skin ranges from olive green, khaki, brown, to black, though some have been known to be born bright red (These specimens are picked on as having no souls and being similar to vampires.) Typically broad of the shoulder and burley in stature, they tend to stand between 6 and 7 feet tall.

Appearance: Carnus is fairly typical for a Caradochian, standing 6'3" and burley. His scales are khaki in color with a few brow stripes along his back up to the back of his head, and his head is alligator-like in shape, bright blue eyes always seeming to size people up (and deciding if they're worth robbing or not.) His wardrobe is straight out of an 80s/Early 90s heavy metal concert, consisting of leather, denim and band patches, most of which is black with the exceptions of a few band shirts.

Position: Delivery Guy/Security/Back-Up Resident Idiot when the regular one is out for the episode.

Personality: Again, Carnus is fairly typical for Caradochians, sharing a love of classic heavy metal, beer, frat house party games, and random fights with complete strangers for no reason beyond boredom and more than likely drunkenness (When he usualy begins this competitions in the tradtional Caradochian fashion; Smashing a beer bottle over his head and screaming at the top of his lungs at whoever he's fighting.) He is also almost religiously devoted to David Bowie, possesing every single albumn he ever recorded, every film he had anything remotely to do with, and even a couple locks of Bowie's hair which he keeps locked in his room with trip-wired shotguns and beartraps set around the display case (He's also promised to cave in the skull of anyone that gets near them with a tire iron and to eat whatever falls out.) Despite his metalhead/frat boy mentality, he's a decent enough friend, even if he does steal from you from time to time when the rent's due.

Biography: There isn't too much to be said about this piece of work. Born and raised on Caradochia 23 (Caradochian astronomers are extremely uncreative in naming their stars, moons and planets), the closest of the inhabited Caradochian worlds to Earth. Since his people got Earth broadcasts from the 80s a decade late, he took quickly to the heavy metal style of life and partied hard and lived even harder. Eventualy, though, he ended up dropping out of high school and drifted off across the galaxy from one odd job to the next until he ended up on Earth, where he's taken a job with a delievery company for less than minimum wage (Which he suppliments with sale of Space Weed on the side. And the occasional swap-out of delievery items with useless crap to sell himself.)

Miscellaneous: Really, really loves beer. And Space Weed.

I think Jane would be very funny drunk or high... but she'd probably get tired of Carnus after a while in a small space with him.

I'm putting this note in the OP, but yeah.

NOTE: So...

I would like to get this out of the way before we start this RP off. I just want to make sure everyone is on the same page of what we believe this RP to be. It's a comedy. It's a satire. But, it's also a story. And a story cannot only thrive on jokes alone because the best comedies, I believe, are also dramatic stories that can stand on their own. They tread a very fine line between campy and serious. I want us to look more into character and story, as a whole and not just as fuel for hilarity. For this to thrive, I thoroughly believe that we need to make this interesting and dramatic. Consistent in tone above all else.

Don't get me wrong, this is supposed to be funny and fun, but that's not all it is. For us to make a good story that we all want to come back to, it has to have a little bit of everything. Something that you can find on a bookshelf or in a movie theatre. It can have more creativity and satire over a lot of things, but it still needs that tension that keeps it together. It's up to all of us (and our characters) to create that.

I want to make it very clear that this is not a cartoon, regardless of whether or not it has that Futurama vibe to it. I was inspired by it, along with various other comedic sci-fi shows/books/movies/etc, but only inspired by. This isn't an exact copy. This is our own creation.

So, let's make a good, funny story. But let's make a story, most of all. :D

I may... uh, have given the wrong impression with all those damn Futurama gifs. @_@ But this is still sooper satirical, just not so satirical that it's all that it is.

Our Janitor is in the works! He/She/It should be a part of our fabulous crew tomorrow. I have some fabulous things in mind for the Janitor. But, sh, you aren't allowed to know.

And we need a Techie... and an actual Pilot. We need that. That's what we need. Very much. Jane does the jumps and pilots the ship through hyperspace, but her station is in the Armory. I would be overworking her if I had her jump and then immediately run to the cockpit to maneuver the ship before it crashes into the nearest planet.

Ah. Can Carnus assist with the armory, then, seeing as he's The Big Guy so it seems? Also, David Bowie should totally still be alive. :)

I'm sorry, David Bowie is only alive through V.I.s and maybe a few rampant A.I.s. He can be alive in the imagination of Carnus' people. And David Bowie impersonators. Like Elvis, but weirder. He might be alive in another dimension. That might be me giving you false hope.

Will we ever know?

The weapons are actually somewhere in the storage area on the maintenance deck. It wouldn't make sense for them to be in the actual room they were designed to be in.

That's what I forgot: a storage area. It's on the maintenance deck. *Nods*

Yeah, weren't we just saying the armory has been converted into the navigator's lair chamber?
