Birth Name: Jacqueline Goldsmith
Assigned Name: "Susan Chase"
Age: 26
Attached Photo: Susan is roughly 5'6, possessing medium-length, straight red hair and notably blue eyes. Her skin is fair and mostly without blemishes, while her body is lithe and well conditioned. Her teeth are white and whole, her features arrayed in an attractive and symmetrical manner, and her bodily endowments of reasonably enticing proportions. Due to her augments, one may note a tinge of green in her left eye, but otherwise there are no other visible signs of bodily alterations.
Psychological Profile: Agent Chase displays an extraordinarily cool temperament*, even when agents of similar or greater status might succumb to fear or confusion. She's confident and diplomatic among her peers, and extremely careful on the field, making her ideal for any leadership position. When relaxed, she often becomes rather flirtatious and sociable, but never too far past regulation limits. On occasion, she has been known to act out in order to prove herself, either to her superiors or her peers. Additionally, while she is accustomed to being locked up or isolated for long periods of time, she is prone to extreme claustrophobia.
Susan has developed her innate telepathic abilities far beyond the point of mastery, through extensive training** she has honed her mind, making her among the most powerful known human psychics alive at this time. One reoccurring issue with Susan is that she often becomes severely unnerved when she is not allowed mental contact with a human being for any extended period of time. Also, she seems to be constantly fighting with a feeling of superiority over ordinary humans, an unquenchable trait shared by most psychics of her calibre.
*All aspects of her psyche may experience sudden, irreversible changes if she is exposed to too much mental contamination. Extensive psychological treatment should be prescribed often, especially after deployments.
**Refer to attached document for full overview of treatments and procedures regarding this matter.
Note: Susan has just recently recovered from an incident of extreme mental contamination, she is to be watched carefully at all times, unless deployed.
Medical History:
-Altered Standard Augmentations: As a Telepath, Susan has forgone the standard defences against psychic influence and mind-control. Otherwise, she possesses all of the usual augments for an agent of her class.
-Esper-grade Mental Augmentation*: A significantly more expansive collection of heavily integrated neural and cybernetic alterations, designed to both maximize a Psychic's capabilities and better allow them to battle off an opposing psychic's mental assault. This replaces the standard issue mental blockers, as such a treatment would completely inhibit her natural capabilities. Additionally, the improved augmentations help to increase her mental capabilities to their maximum, as well as making her heavily resistant to all forms of mental interference.
-Vocal Module: Improved vocal augmentations allowing for her to change or distort the sound of her voice for the sake of deception. A wide array of presets, including a device that allows her to mimic the voice of another, exist within the augment. However, if she is to manually alter her voice, she must take a few moments to interface with it directly.
*For a full listing of her mental augments, see attached document.
Technical Proficiency: Having been specially trained by the PCMC since a young age, Susan is considered an expert of covert operations with a great deal of experience in the PCMC's dominant field. She also serves as one of the leading specialists on Psychics and Psychic Entities, at least at her level in the organization. Knowledgeable on topics such as hacking, deception and information gathering.
History With the PCMC: Susan is a special case, in that she's been in the PCMC's care for most of her life. Ever since her 10th birthday, she's been carefully cultivated by the PCMC's leading scientists to hone and make use of her invaluable abilities on the field. This gives her an edge compared to most of her peers, as her experience in the field far surpasses all of those close to her own rank. She's achieved more than a handful of less notable victories, but the most prodigious of her accomplishments are her successes in the NNND Incident, the Bronx Possessions and the B.C. Serial Abductions.
Agent Susan's position within the PCMC is far higher and more stable than most agents of her age and credentials. Still, many Agents (especially newer ones) look at her as something inhuman, and her ability is often shunned by the most paranoid of their ranks, even though it has been wrought entirely by human hands. She is equal parts a subject as she is an agent, meaning extra precautions have been taken to ensure her safety and loyalty.
Prior History: Susan was born into poverty, raised by her mother in the temperate streets of Vancouver, Canada. Ever since a young age, her gifts have been evident to her and those around her. She possessed a natural urge to explore the minds of others, and in time, she developed her innate telepathic abilities far beyond what most young psychics accomplish. Attributed mostly to the adversity she faced, even in the earliest stages of her youth, she quickly matured and began working on the streets as best a young girl could with the help of her mother.
She lived a hard life, but she was rarely put in danger until one particular night when she was hired by a strange, older man. Meeting him in the dead of night, all seemed well until she, in her youthful curiosity, accidentally brushed against the man's mind. She was immediately rendered unconscious by the man's inhuman psychology, and at the brief telepathic contact the man seemed to go berserk. He rampaged through the street, screaming unintelligible threats and assaulting people with his inhuman strength. It was then, that the agents of the PCMC arrived at the scene.
Her history before being taken in by the PCMC was a short one, hardly nine years of her life had been lived before she was coincidentally encountered by a group of agents on the field. They recognized her talents for what they were, and were quick to take her into custody for full examination. Since then, she has been an active part of the PCMC, striving to better herself and be of use to the ones who saved her life.
