Without that condition, my character will be much over powered, that he can abuse it the magic and turn everything into gold. But I can change the condition if it really looks unfair.

I agree that conditions are needed, but that's a bit much .-. Maybe you can only control it subconsciously? Like a wolf is charging at you to eat you, you put up your hands... And a beautiful gold statue falls to the ground. Or someone tells you your cousin died and the milkshake your holding suddenly has a strange yellow tint...

okay ._. I think I should think for other condition.

His magic confuses me soooo much.

The basics of his magic is that he can divide or multiply the weight of objects or creatures.
Objects are easy, people take effort to maintain.
What he usually does with the orbs is sling them on a rope in the direction he wants, then dramatically increases the weight of the orb just before it hits.
I described he wanted it to be heavy, but not heavy enough to break ribs (since he doesn't want himself or Galen using lethal magic). But that's still the force of a sledgehammer coming straight for him. Putting your unprotected finger in the way is a bad idea. hehe.

Ok,so basically...he haves orbs that weights people down?

No, he throws the orbs (which are no more than metal balls) at Galen. They are simply blunt force.
The magic he used before made Galen's clothes more heavy, so that slows him down.
But the balls just do physical damage.

This is what they look like, only with a foot of chain on them so he can sling them easily.
