Name: Press Dalton
Alias: E-tech
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Abilities/Powers: To manipulate/create machinery using either his mind or hands. (Anything being created must follow the basic principle of equivalent exchange. Ex: cannot turn a toaster into a giant Transformer.)
Personality: Serious practically all the time. Has very little sense of humor. Does what he needs to do to achieve his goals, but does not kill unless absolutely necessary.
Backstory: Press once lived in a rich family whose business specialized in technology for modern, everyday use. As a kid, he loved to take apart machines to see how they worked, and eventually learned how to make them himself. One day, when he was 10, he was watching tv in his room when he accidentally changed the channel without touching the remote. After several minutes of experimentation, he learned that he could manipulate machinery using only his mind. He decided to keep it a secret until he learned its full capability. At the age of 14, he decided that it was time to tell his parents, having learned what he could. After hearing the news, however, they immediately insisted on taking him to the hospital to get him "cured". He tried to explain that there was nothing wrong with him, but they wouldn't listen, and the doctors took him away to a science facility to study his brain. Press tried to calm himself down, but after a month, he couldn't take all the testing anymore and went mad, killing the first doctor he saw. After he did so, he realized what he had done and escaped, making sure that those that got in his way were only wounded, not killed. Afterwards, he found a place to rest and took the time to think. He realized that the facility never published anything about him, and anything involving him would be kept secret. Then, he lived for a few years on his own, performing jobs on the darker side of the law for money. After a while, he created a small, but legitimate, business involving technology to finally get out of the shady business for a fresh start, using a false name to not draw certain unwanted attention. However, his abilities could not be ignored, and he used the money he made from his business and his other previous jobs to travel, trying to make sure that no one suffered a fate similar to his.
Alignment: More on the side of good, but may defect occasionally for his own goals. In other words, neutral...ish.
What is a waffle tomato toaster oven? How does "tomato" even fit in with that?
On a side note: Hey, Crim! And anyone else I met in the old days, before the rpg data loss!
