Cassie was ready, but she checked on the kids, to see them soake d through and having fun with the otjer kids, Lester and donovan "okay, ready"

Alyss nodded and got her bag and jacket, passing Cassie her jacket. "We'll be taking the truck!" She called.

Cassie tugged on her jacket, which didn't do up presently, but was better than nothing. She headed out, to the truck.

Alyss climbed in and started it up, driving off once she and Cassie were both buckled. "Anything else we need while we're out?" Alyss asked.

Cassie thought for a few moments, "nothing I can think of off the top of my head. Clothes maybe for the kids"

Alyss nodded and drove to the party store first, pulling up to the front to let Cassie out. "I'll find a spot to park and then meet up inside."

"Okay" cassie said, getting out, moving off the street

Alyss looked around and drove down the parking lot, frowning at how little parking there was. She huffed and then everything went black as she heard a sickening crunch of metal and bone when a hummer slammed into her side of the truck, sending it rolling.

Cassie turned, hearing this, and she screamed, "alyss!" Through the mill of people, she made her way through. Someone pulled her back when she drew near, "Alyss!" They might be sturdly built, stronger than humans, but hit like that...."ALYSS!" she was crying, trying to get closer, even as authorities arrived. She was pulled away further, and set down.

Zahara looked up as the phone rang and went over picking it up after seeing an odd number on the caller id. "Hello?" She asked, bouncing Auryn.

Cassie took a deep, shuddering breath, "Aunt Zahara. I...I...you need to get down here...its...oh, god...Alyss" she knew she wasn't making any sense. "She's been hit by a car" she barely got that sentence out.

Zahara's heart seized when Cassie said it was Alyss and dropped the phone, running out. "Pakuna!" She screamed.

Pakuna looked up, looking for danger, but that wasn't the type of scream associated with danger, he rose, running through the house, to Zahara, "what, what happened?"

"C-Cassie called. Alyss has been hit by a car," She managed to get out, tears threatening to stream down her cheeks. Ceyleigh had heard the scream and bolted out of bed, running downstairs.

Donovan turned slowly, staring at the house. His keen hearing, left over from his days as a vampire, had caught this. He stood frozen, and then he was moving, ignoring lesters cry out

lily was nearby, amd upon hearing the scream, followed Zahara. She took Auryn, gently wriggling him out of Zaharas arms. "Go" she said, "I will look after Jordan" she needed to know someone would be there formCassie too. "Jake?" She called, looking up when Ceyleigh bolted dowm stairs

"Th-They were going to the party store," Zahara said and then Ceyleigh was back upstairs pulling on jeans and boots. She'd have to go since she was Aly's blood type.

Jake ran after Donovan and looked to Lily. "Cassie, is she alright?" He asked, grabbing his keys.

"Cey! Move it!" Pakuna was already heading to the door. Lily pushed Zahara to follow, Auryn on one hip, "go!"
