"Lily, go help that wolf. Victor can sniff out Alex," Melanie said but looked up as she heard a giggle from the hall closet. She went over and opened it up, pulling Alex into her arms. "You scared me! You're not supposed to go off on your own," She said, hugging him tightly.

Lily gave a wolfy shrug. She headed outside, sniffing around. She didn't smell anything besides them, and Nan, so she shifted back and headed to the treatment roon

It was hours later that Alyss was out of surgery and wheeled into a room in the ICU, hooked up to monitors and wires with tubes down her throat. Her left arm and leg were broken and wrapped in casts, her torso was wrapped as well for her broken ribs and there were scratches all over her face, arms and legs. Greyin's father sighed and closed the door, going to meet with everyone in the lobby. "I'm not sure you'll want to, but you can see her now," He said gravely.

Pakuna closed his eyes a minute. im not sure you'll want to.... He rose, "we will be with her" he said softly, "I'm not going to leave her alone in there"

Greyin's father nodded and led them down the hall, Zahara holding Pakuna's hand tightly.

Donovan followed, stopping himself from erely running down the hall.

Memories of walking these halls before crashed into Pakunas mind. He pushed them back, aching to reached Alyss.

when he saw her, he stopped dead. "Oh, god" he whispered, his free hand forming a fist. He would get the low lifes that had done this to her. He would make sure they didn't last long.

Zahara froze and put a hand over her mouth, tears starting to stream down her cheeks. She let go of Pakuna and went over to Alyss, stroking a few strands of hair away from her face.

Donovan stood, staring. He couldnt comprehend it

Zahara wiped her eyes and looked up to Pakuna. "I never though we'd have to be here like this. Not again."

"And she's a fighter, just like you," Zahara said then looked to Donovan.

donovan had managed to walk to the end of the bed, not taking his eyes of Alyss.

"It's still Aly Donovan... Just not bouncing around like usual," Zahara said.

"Its wrong, she shouldn't be laying in a bed, injured. She should be bouncing around" donovan said, "I know its Alyss. I can't stand seeing her like this"

"I know, it's hard for us to see her like this again..." Zahara said.

"I will find who do this" pakina said softly, Donovanmoved to the head of th bed

"And we'll make them pay," Zahara said with a nod.

"They cant hurt any of us, and expect to not pay the orice" pakuna said,

"Yeah" donovan agreed, softly

"The kids are going to need you while she's here, once we get all of the details, you should go home to the girls," Zahara said.

As much as it hurt, Donovam nodded. "I know" he said, "I will"
