Hey all! I just got home and I'm currently sitting down to write this IC post now. My work runs late so that's why I'm only just now starting. It'll be up soon and I'll post again when it is about that and some more info I need to share. Till then.

Good catch. Although I changed it slightly and everyone will be getting the starting two spells from their elemental "tree". That way we don't have people using the strongest spells right off the bat. I'll let you all know what those are in my post after I get finished writing this introduction IC.

Okay, and the IC is officially live! So, I've got some information to share.

Firstly, I'm going to give everyone their starting two spells. If you missed my previous messages, this is so everyone can progress over time rather than choosing the stronger spells right off the bat. They will be as follows:

Fire Element
-Fire
-Shoots a fireball
-Ember
-Shoots a stream of sparks that can ignite a single target

Water Element
-Stream
-Shoots a concentrated stream of water at high pressure
-Mist
-Uses the moisture in the air to create a light fog in a small radius

Air Element
-Wind
-Shoots a blade of wind at a single target
-Gust
-Shoots a small wall of wind forward, blowing back targets

Earth Element
-Stasis
-Calls up the ground to hold a target in place
-Quake
-Striking the ground sends a shockwave outwards 360 degrees in a short distance; knocks targets over

Holy
-Cure
-Heals minor injuries of a single target
-Flash
-Causes a blinding light to appear for three seconds

Lightning
-Thunder
-Shoots a lightning bolt at a single target
-Jolt
-Sends a jolt of electricity through the user's palm

And there you have it! You can add these to your profile under a new section that should be labeled "Magic".

Second, this is some bigger news. I didn't tell you guys before because I was still setting things up, but I actually do have a Co-GM. Her name is CorneredBliss and she will be helping me out by playing NPC characters. So no, she won't be part of the main cast, but you'll definitely encounter characters from time to time. She will also be helping with side-story bits as well and of course that means she'll be frequenting the OOC thread. She's cool though (sometimes) so don't worry lol.

Finally, as to the IC, I don't really institute a posting order or posting schedule. As this is the Advanced section, I expect that players understand when it is their turn to post and to do so in a timely manner. As was posted in the rules, a minimum of three paragraphs helps everyone have enough material to bounce off of and collaborative posts are certainly welcome should you want to do long conversational pieces or something with another player. Character interaction and development will become big parts of the roleplay soon after the introduction so you'll want to keep that in mind going forward - it's just my way of saying combat is not the main focus of the RP though it will definitely have its part to play.

If you have any questions or if I've missed anything, don't hesitate to ask me! I'm still working on the full list of spells and Bliss should be by to introduce herself soon. The last person who is part of this RP should also be joining us well tonight or tomorrow (their schedule interfered just as I'd approved them so that's why they are absent at the moment). I hate to sound nitpickey considering this just started, and I could be reading it wrong, but my starting fire spells seem bland compared to the others. Like for example, Earth can hold a target in place and knock people over. Whereas for fire, I can shoot a fireball, and then I can shoot a better fireball.

Again, could be misreading it, and I'll make do if all else fails (they are just starting spells after all). Just thought I'd put my 2 cents out there.

Hmmm... I'll set you up with a different second starting rather than Fira. You have a point. But you also have to remember that using magic in this RP is also subjecting yourself to a random knockout or loss of HP in combat. Magic is a very dangerous thing in this world, but it's a supplemental thing as well. Your magic is not meant to be your main weapon in combat.

@icmasticc I get that, but the other magics seemed to have different uses to them, whereas mine was just shooting a fireball. At least some scope would be appreciated in that regard. I'm not asking for something amazing that I'm going to be doing all the time, but I'd rather have a second option. If I HAVE to shoot a fireball, 9 times out of 10 I will probably go with Fira since it's more powerful. There would be no need for the other spell.

As mysterious as I like to be, I wanted to make my appearance known before I let the OOC and IC slip away from me. I was previously approved by @icmasticc a few days ago but personal matters have kept me from posting my character. I'm just adding the final touches to give my sheet a little more flare, and by tomorrow morning I'll have my it up in the Character Section -- and hopefully -- an IC post to follow. Looking forward to writing with you all, and I can't wait to see where this plot leads us!

I've added a blurb to the OP concerning the origins of the Kingsglaive (It's admittedly very sparse since that will be a plot point we'll explore in the IC) and added a few sections to be expanded in the first post under the Character Tab. In addition to the full spell list, we're going to have an NPC list for major NPCs, a Notable Location list with the locations you guys have created as well as ones I've made that are important, and a Bestiary that will detail some of the predatory creatures roaming the world that we'll undoubtedly encounter.

As I said when I first started this, I think worldbuilding with the cast would be a great idea so if you guys have ideas for locations or creatures, hit me up and we'll work it out. Even though the main story arc is pretty much set, there will be side excursions that will happen at points. To aid in character development, some of these side stories will delve into parts of the history of your characters so if you have NPCs in mind or even a small story arc in mind for your character, let me know and we'll work that out too. We're going to make this RP complex and fantastic together.

I've decided on the nature of Gideon's cover job. The official narrative is that he was promoted out of active duty because everyone in Teirland was sick of dealing with him, and that he now serves as part of Teirland's diplomatic attachment to Algareth; however, he serves absolutely no purpose, has no real duties and never does anything in this position.

Seems on point to me, and you've got the name right!

I'm currently working on a relationship section for Dianthe, and I've already got a bit of IC post written out. I'll also be adding a few more bits of information to her Trivia section, as well as a theme for her!

Just got home from work. Ugh. BUT! I added @Redrum to the OP Cast List so we now look complete lol. And now I'm going to continue obsessing over Street Fighter V.
