Did you know political correctness has gone to the point that GLAAD or w/e it is called is petitioning for Bucky and Cap to have an actual on screen homosexual relationship.

While I have nothing against gays, this is just freaking stupid.

But yeah guys some of us read actual comiiics. I don't read Cap stuff but I do read other comics so carefuls I be pissed if something be spoiled.

I do think it's an unbelievably stupid way to try to make the character somewhat new.

Personally i wouldn't have minded at all if Captain America was given an onscreen homosexual relationship. In fact part of me hoped that they were going to go that route before Civil War came out. Although that being said i knew it probably wasn't going to happen meaning i wasn't really that shocked when it didn't.

I think it would be great if the MCU could add some diversity in the form of some more prominent LGBT characters. I doubt we'll be seeing that though for a long time which is unfortunate! Hopefully we'll get a Young Avengers and/or Runaways film!

In regards to that Cap spoiler, I'm extremely pissed. It's just incredibly out of character (which may seem hypocritical to say considering my opinions on a gay/bi/non-straight cap), as well as just plain stupid! Was actually considering putting it on my pull list before this happened!

I disagree with putting Cap gay on-screen. They've done nothing to suggest he could be that in the MCU to date."Oh but him and Bucky are so in looove." No, I think it's more of a case that his best friend (practically brother) turned out to be alive, when almost everyone else he knew was dead, and brainwashed by the evil organization he hates more than anything. I don't understand why with the acceptance of the LGBT community (Which I have nothing against) it needs shoehorned into everything, it's political correctness gone mad.

It's like when movies (mentioning no names) try to pander to a specific audience by shooting half of their movie in their native country for no real reason.

Theres already a wealth of fan created Stucky stuff and their relationship on screen clearly isn't sexual or romantic, they're bros, really awesome bros. I think it would be really cool if they became housemates/roommates for a while because it would be hilarious and I don't want Bucky to be lonely (plus he needs someone to make sure he doesn't flip his crazy switch and go all Hydra-mode ...).

Maybe Marvel could sate the rabid fangirl hunger for Stucky by making a short comic series that explores that pairing, a once-off sort of thing. Stucky doesn't fit the MCU, but maybe some alt-reality or stand-alone story in the comics or a book/novellas.

Its a waste of resources for orgs like GLAAD to kick up a fuss over a fictional character ... Ummmm ... Why not try stamp out discrimination rather than nag for gay characters in a fictional universe... Making characters the "token gay" or making the chars sexuality SO crucial to their character means its probably a shit character :/

I'd rather Bucky be a bad ass assassin who happens to be gay as opposed to Bucky being a gay assassin who happens to be a bad ass ...

More gay characters is great, but ... shoehorning them in will only be detrimental for the character especially if the characters sexuality is basically their selling point.

I agree with this pretty much wholeheartedly. Cap and Bucky is a poor choice at this point, but Marvel can totally explore other options. They're working on Iron Fist now, Finn Jones has practice playing gay in GoT so if they wanted a gay Danny Rand, they're working on a blank canvas since this is the first series of Iron Fist on netflix. Black Panther could be gay (not likely since Lupita Nyong'o is probably being cast to be his romantic interest), Civil War didn't set up any particularly straight or gay romances for him, so he's a blank canvas. Scarlet Witch could be lesbian, but her and Vision is obviously a brilliant pairing so its best we not go there x'D. Falcon could be gay, since he doesn't have any serious relationships in Captain America at all to rule out the possibility.

People just want Stucky because its Steve and Bucky which is a stupid reason ... More gay would be great, but you notice its Stucky thats getting all the press, why aren't people saying Falcon or Black Panther should get together? Or that Scarlet Witch and Black Widow should start up a lesbian romance? This is clearly about Stucky and not about LGBT issues, which means they're making a fuss for all the wrong reasons.

Oh yeah, totally, theres plenty of LGBT chars in the comics, but this whole Stucky thing ... c'mon x'D
I wish there were asexual characters though ... I mean Im not too fussy about it because sexuality isn't the be-all-and-end-all but an asexual hero or villain would really appeal to me.

I wonder how Suicide Squad will fare ... Marvel really is the powerhouse when it comes to movies though, at least right now anyway, they're totally slaying it these days, I don't think Suicide Squad will knock Marvel off its perch even if its really really good because Marvel is all over the cinematic stuff right now!

Absolutely agree with this! Read DC Rebirth #1 yesterday and it looks great! Pretty sure I'm going to end up adding quite a lot of DC to my pull list!

ANAD hasn't been too bad so far. From what I've read anyway. There's been some decisions I haven't been too keen on, such as this new Cap issue ofc, as well as whatever's going on with Peter Parker/Spider-Man right now. Truth be told I haven't read much of the new Amazing Spider-Man, but the premise doesn't really seem all too Spider-Man to me if that makes sense? Might just be because I haven't read much of it though!

Really enjoying Totally Awesome Chulk (sorry @sep), although that's mainly because i love Amadeus Cho! I like how he's taking his own spin on the Hulk and how it affects him! Next plot line is apparently involving Bruce Banner too!

Anyway, now that I'm done with this weird little fangasm, I'm off to bed!

Civil War Spidey, Miles Spidey who can transform into Miles, classic Lego Spidey, classic Scarlet Spider, Iron Spider, and Ultimate Spider Woman. Spider-Man's moves have also been redefined making him able to slingshot in the air, climb walls, etc. Miles for some reason has a taser stun as well of some sort, was that in the comics somewhere?

Yes, he has his venom stingers. I have not read much Miles, but this ability is clearly displayed in the Spider-Men crossover (616/Ultimate).

I'll be honest and admit [if I haven't already] I gave up on Marvel after the 90's Clone Saga fiasco. I was already reading the new GL Kyle Rayner from DC, I loved legacy characters at the time. With Ben Reilly being intro'ed as a lost Scarlet Spider, Kaine as an additional clone and menace, I wasn't even bothered with the whole is he/isn't he the original Peter argument. I was mostly upset with after continuing to follow Ben into his career as Spiderman proper, he was killed off in a way he was said could never happen by none other than the original Green Goblin.

I bought a few comics here and there but stopped following Marvel for a long time. I got #1's of the Ultimates and later the polybagged Ultimate Spiderman [featuring Miles in his current suit] #1. I got the Marvel Knights Madrox series and loved every issue. And I got the Clone Saga mini for how it was supposed to have played out, and I collected the Hickman run of F4 that lead me into buying Future Foundation until Johnny returned. Bought the first couple issues of the original Young Avengers mini. That's about it.

I had planned on collecting the first Sentry series because I loved the history behind the lost character. After it was said to be a hoax I just got pissed at Marvel and continued not really buying their stuff. In the same sense I was stoked they were bringing back the classic Capt. Mar-Vell during Civil War only for it to be a Skrull. I would've been buying the last couple Spidey 2099 titles cause I loved the classic run, but for some reason he's not in 2099 and I have no interest in reading about ANOTHER alt Spiderman in the mainstream universe.

Seriously though, I guess I never really read much of anything involving Bruce? Whereas one of my all-time favourite reads has to be The Incredible Hercules, mainly just because of how fun it was. I'd be more than happy if they eventually gave Banner his powers back and Cho continued his adventures with Hercules, although sadly i don't see that happening!
