Well we have killing down entirely. holy weapons, stakes in the heart, (basically all the classic things), Eviscerating the body (decapitation then chopping up the body is just to much anything that is just silly to regenerate from), and magic imbued weapons.

1. I think we can all agree it should be spread from vampire to a person they bite. We have to decide if they die then or they die later.

2. I feel like the whole minion thing would be better to a type of vampire (if we go with science stuff. Pheromones are how.)

4. I would go with disease strains. I can't really find an outside trait that makes sense really.

5. I want to say because vampires don't have the blood they need to keep going. Blood has almost no use besides being blood. If it was to feed they'd mostly be drinking water.

6. I think in the end we should just go with sterile. In any version that function of the body is just scrapped.

Ok. So, things I want to get an official answer on are:

1. How does one become a vampire?
2. How does a vampire make a minion?
3. How do you destroy a vampire or a minion?
4. Why are there different types of vampires or different powers?
5. Why do vampires drink blood?
6. Can a vampire make a living baby or a half-breed (please god no lol)?

Here are just the answers that correspond to my idea of vampirism.

1. You are birthed as one. If you get the traits of a vampire or not depends if the vampire trait within your gene is dominant or recessive.

2. Simple, all a vampire needs to do is kill a living being with a bite. And boom, you got a vampire minion. Or a Thrrrrrraaaaaallllll

3. Depends on how powerful they are. Attacks to the chest or heart deliver more of a punch. Decapitation is a 100% effective. Shock, trauma, stab wounds, etc. Sure vampires have a healing factor, but it won't last them forever. Sometimes making them go mad over bloodlust can kill them.

4. Basically to allow us and other players more freedom and space to tweak abilities or origins if they aren't happy with the standard power set, or story.

5. All blood is infused with magic. Many beings categorized as "undead" run on magic to remain alive. Stuff like zombies need to feed constantly to remain alive. Vampires, and other beings that are near death, require blood also to remain alive. But some vampires are psychopathic sadists who like killing also.

6. Yes, but a vampire with an active vampire trait will most likely not as they soon will have just lost interest in sex. But not all, some do keep their libido intact. And non-vampiric people can carry the gene for vamprisim, and yet not be affected by it, think of it like colour-blindness. You either are colour-blind/a vampire, or you're not. There is no inbetween.

Hope this helped!

I think we should take a vote for either @Witch Cat or @jasonwolf 's ideas. I personally vote for the disease one because i believe it has more potential.

It's like a democratic vote!
Trump VS. Hillary!
Witch Cat VS. @jasonwolf!

Also about the more potential thing, I mean yah, it does have a flasher explanation. But I think genetics would allow more space and freedom to tweak powers, so not everyone has to conform to a set of unchangeable powers.

@Witch Cat BUt that's what makes a vampire. There are certain traits that are there to be vampires. The genetics thing just seems really restrictive as well as is very awkward in the current state of the world. The idea that there are hundreds of people who are carrier vampires is odd.

#5 would make Atlas' need for blood completely useless so he'd have to go and re-write like 5 gigantic posts, and for #6 I think making a vampire sterile wouldn't make much sense. Infertility in men is caused by low-sperm count, and if we want to show our vampires as these hyped up super-humans who can heal a lost limb, it wouldn't make sense to have them have to face such problems that could be easily fixed by their powers.

I'm gonna go to bed. I seriously think the disease option is going to be the one I'll keep. It fits the classic vampire the best as well as giving options for a couple of off shoots that still are clearly vampires. The genetics idea feels like its almost too original like it would be an ok center to a story purely about vampires.

i dont see anything really contradictory with my posts. he doesnt like blood because of his PTSD, although i could be forgetting something.

That's why I tied it to the Lilith story. She wants to destroy Adam's children, and spread her own. So she tries, and it's not like every person has a recessive vampire trait. In some families, the trait is never passed on and just dies out. And I don't see how it's restrictive, with the huge possibilities for mutations, the choices seem limitless.

i would have to agree. if we were making a new world, it would make more sense. but we are working within established lines, so the disease thing makes more sense. but the genetics idea is super rad and maybe we could make a vampire rp later on down the line who knows

Eh alright then, your RP anyway. Maybe one faithful day, my idea for these genetic vampires will make it to another RP.

Yah but then, why does he force himself to drink it? In your first post, we see him forcefully down a cup of coffee blood. I'm fine with having the disease idea, but we should really look it over again for any contradictions like tomorrow morning or something.
