Hey I made a villainous guy instead of a heroic one. If the power is over-complicated tell me so I can change it. I'm looking forward to this RP sounds like a very fun one!

Personality
Benny is a fan of stating the facts, a very realistic person. It helps that he has such a fantastic and unrealistic ability to put things into balance. Since the extent of his Acquisition is tested every day by pulling more and more specific and outlandish things from nil space, he has learned that he can expect a lot of surprises in this world, clearly not just from himself since there are apparently hundreds of people gifted with powers as well. He wants to find his place in life, and believes his calling is to help make a new world order. He isn’t positive what that new world order should be, but he knows it would take many many people to build it so he is all for cooperation. He thinks the current establishment isn’t able to handle things the right way, however.
He enjoys simple pleasures in life, and the act of cherishing a memory and paying homage to things. Benny has a lot of respect for people who do this in a genuine way, such as those that visit the same graveyard he used to after one of his friends died during a downhill battle with illness. After experiencing a lot of pain and loss he has come into a sense of empathy, but also responsibility, and it is with responsibility that he became a villain at Delphine. He is less inclined toward doing villainous acts as much as carrying out malicious orders, and learning whatever he can about the history of villains and heroes in this world.
Abilities
Advanced - Acquisition -
Simple version: Magic Hat can pull things and people out of thin air.
Minor - Invisible stairs/ladders - Benny can walk on air in a descending or ascending fashion as if it were stairs. He can also climb up or down in this fashion, as if there were a ladder. If he loses his balance, he can land on or grab onto air in order to avoid death by falling.
Limitations
Magic Hat is only as physically powerful as an in-shape adult man. He is a normal human with the exception of his ability to pull anything he needs from thin air, including people if he wants to see them. With the exception of guns, his marksmanship, and his ingenuity, he entirely lacks the ability to directly combat a hero or a villain.
Place Of Origin
Born in Portland, Oregon.
Family
Mother - Diana Hops - No abilities, she is an elementary school teacher teaching the 1st grade. She likes memes about 1st graders because she can relate, so he often sends her them over social media.
Father - James Northrow - Benny hasn’t met his father, and has no idea what he’s like. And no, he didn’t try to pull him out of a hat before.
History
Benny was raised by his single mother, who worked hard every day to provide for them both. They were able to live comfortably in Portland, the city where Benny was born. She didn’t mention his father often, but when she did would tell Benny that it was better he meet the man and decide for himself what kind of person his father is.
Magic Hat developed his powers early on in life. When he was 7 years old his mother took him to a fair in the city, where a magician performed tricks including pulling doves from his sleeves. After the show, Benny showed off his ability to do the same; pulling dozens of doves out of his jacket, much to the bewilderment of those around him and dismay of his mother. This began a long tradition of Diana telling Benny to not use his powers willy nilly. Even so, later on he would flaunt his power by inviting his friends over and promptly after them saying yes, pull them out of a hat onto his doorstep and say to them “Well that was fast thanks for being so punctual!”
Magic Hat was invited to Delphine in a letter from his father, describing the college and what it would be like for him there considering his ability. His father as it turns out knew much more Benny than he did about James. In the letter his father was also able to warn him about two things, which he didn’t explain and told Benny he could mention to no one (as well as to burn the letter). The first was a fire, which would give Benny the opportunity to save several students, and these students names and descriptions of them and their abilities. The second was that Delphine was to merge with Mayweather, and that Benny should remain loyal to Delphine and it’s expectations no matter where he went.
Benny burned the letter and followed his father’s instructions. These were the first words from his father he had ever heard, so he made it his priority to live up to James’ expectations. During the night of the fire, he was able to save all but one student from the list. The cause of this failure was another student kicking his hat away from his hand, causing him to lose the transportation of the final student his father intended him to save, named Bucky Juniper. Benny never forgot the betrayal, but perhaps this was what his father intended him to learn from in the first place.

Advanced - Acquisition -
Simple version: Magic Hat can pull things and people out of thin air.
Can pull objects out of nil space - anywhere that can’t be seen by anyone but him. The number of objects that can be retrieved is limitless, and the size is only limited by the amount of weight he himself could pull into view. This means he can retrieve an unlimited number of shotguns loaded with dragon’s breath shells from inside of his jacket, but not a horse from his coat since he could never pick up the horse with one hand. Benny can also acquire humans from nil space, willing or unwilling, but only while following certain rules. The subject will either fall out of his hat (unwilling) or climb out (willing). Benny wills them to be summoned, and they can only travel to him while he remains touching the hat. They feel a strange and distinct sensation before they are transported, and an unwilling subject can resist the fall for up to five minutes while taking normal actions. If the subject resists to the four minute mark, their body will begin to shimmer in a supernatural way making it apparent to everyone around them what is happening to them. If anyone grabs hold of them during this time and does not let go of a firm grip, the unwilling will not be teleported. People and living creatures can be called across any distance, and if the subject is asleep they are always unwilling. Resisting the pull will never wake a sleeping subject, and though they may be able to resist the full 5 minutes, the sensation itself cannot end their slumber. Being pulled will result in a bad dream before tumbling from Benny’s hat. Regardless of being asleep or awake, any person or animal coming out of nil space is limp and mentally stunned for at least two seconds.
Minor - Invisible stairs/ladders - Benny can walk on air in a descending or ascending fashion as if it were stairs. He can also climb up or down in this fashion, as if there were a ladder. If he loses his balance, he can land on or grab onto air in order to avoid death by falling.
