Clothing/Armor:
- Labrynnian Knights Order armor - As a member of the Labrynnian Order of Knights, he possesses an armor that uses their special plate mesh, giving it the weight of a medium armor, and the protection par with a heavy armor. The left forearm gauntlet is reinforced so that it can act as a defense.
Weapons:
- Labrynnian Greatsword - A colossal blade, almost as tall as he stands, was forged specifically to Sigurd's wishes. Much of the weight is actually in the hilt and base of the blade, and then evenly distributed towards the tip, it's unique Labrynna-native metal gives it a blue hue. It is one of twin greatswords, the other being the Holodrum Greatsword, owned by his brother, due to the metals it was made from originate solely in Holodrum, giving it a red hue.Dragon Spin Attack - A rapid rushing attack with spinning wide slashes. He uses his hand or a tool to grab the ground and pivot on it, giving him control over the attack.
Labrynna Dragon Spin Attack - After charging, wreathe the blade in a blue flame and do a move identical to the Dragon Spin Attack. This version is slower, but affects a much wider area, and deals noticeably more damage, along with fire. He is limited to using this very few times at a time (roughly 1-2 depending on status). - Reinforced Gauntlet - For defense in a pinch, it's a lot more reliable for parrying though.
Skills:
He uses a unique combat style that is unique to him and his brother. It uses the weight of the gigantic blade as a counterweight, allowing him to move quickly across the battlefield, while swinging around a colossal blade. That is not to say he can't wield them normally either.
- Master Swordsman - It goes without saying he's a master at wielding a blade, while he prefers two handed blades, he and his brother's styles have forms that wield longswords, one-handed swords, as well as accompanying shields, but their unique form with their colossal greatswords rarely allow the use of a large shield, as the free hand is for control.
- Scouting - Sigurd is able to do scouting, which was part of his training.
- Scholar - Unlike his comrades, he takes to scholarly pursuits as much as he does martial. He has great knowledge on ruins and temples, as well as ancient languages. Naturally he also has talents when it comes to magic.
- Command- He is able to command troops, and inspire them on the battlefield.
- Tactician - He has considerable grasp of tactics.
- Covenant of Ages scholar - He has friends among the Covenant, which gives him a bit more freedom when looking into these matters. If he failed knighthood, he would have joined the clergy instead.
Magic:
- Labrynna Barrier Ring L1 - Upon activation creates a magical shield around his left arm. This allows him to guard better against magical attacks should he need to.
Inventory:
- Small Potions - He carries small health potions with him. Just a few for emergency.
- Throwing Knives - He also carries small throwing knives. They make for good fruit knives too.
- Journal - A journal for taking notes. It's proven helpful for solving puzzles when he's come across a temple.
Backstory: Sigurd was born a family of knights, his father was a knight, and so was his father before him. It was expected that Sigurd would become one too... Alongside his brother. The two trained together, as he looked up to his elder brother, but his talent was more in the scholarly pursuits, in fact at the time, he was familiar with many members of the Covenant, which would serve to help him later in his life. For a time the two brothers would train peacefully, and the two would become knights eventually, though Sigurd would lag behind in being knighted.
At the time, there was much unrest with the supposed threat the new Oracle of Ages had pointed out with Holodrum. During this time, Sigurd's brother Arctus had been admitted to the Seashell Knights, and was sent to Holodrum to investigate along with his colleagues. Sigurd wished to go as well, but he could not, for he was not yet a fully fledged knight. In his brother's absence he too became a knight, under the Seashell Knights no less.
After no word came from Holodrum, he joined in some of the rescue parties, he thought it fortunate he was not among the ones that disappeared, but he could not help but wonder what happened. Furthermore, he too was skeptical on this "Nayru"... Still even so, he believed they needed to bring together more military, as defense against what is to come, not to mention with monsters becoming more common...
Still, with his performance on the field outstripping many of the other knights, he was deemed the right to work as a free agent of the Seashell Knights as well, giving him much authority. Among his colleagues some expect him to perhaps take over for tactician or general duties if the time came, for now though, he works to secure the defenses of Labrynna, as well as keeping a close eye and study on the Essences in case something may happen to them, a unique thing he is knowledgeable enough to do compared to the other knights.
