Ally sat in the living room she shared with two other people and wrote on her laptop. Her fingers flew across the keyboard as she expressed her feelings about the last robbery she stopped. She was still new at this hero game, only starting when she moved out of her father's house at the age of 18, but it wasn't hard to get the hang of. Smile for pictures and act like you have unlimited energy even though all you want to do is go home and fall asleep, or get back to work so you can earn enough money not to starve. Just as she was finishing up the final paragraph, a roommate stepped in and turned to the news.

"Ugh, high-speed pursuit," the man, Juan, said, "This city is madness! Don't step outside, you might get shot, or you might get your car stolen!"

"Calm down, it's better than a lot of other cities," Ally replied and stood.

"Going somewhere?"

"Yeah, I need to go pick up something."

"Sure. Have fun." He stood up, seemingly annoyed by the news, and went into the bathroom.

"Whatever, nerd, I'll see you later," she chuckled and shut the door to her room behind her. The woman reached into her closet and pulled out her utility belt. Then she took a shoe box out and opened it up, revealing her wine red and black costume. It took her less than thirty seconds to get it on and the belt wrapped around her hips. "Juan doesn't suspect anything," she murmured, adjusting the mask. Then, the woman opened up the window and stepped out onto the metal stairwell. She was high above Treaft, looking down at the city she protected. After climbing up a couple more flights to the top, she stretched a bit and ran towards the edge of the roof. Her boot heels hit the edge and she was flying through the air. The woman landed hard on the next roof, but felt amazing. "Nothing like an impossible jump to get the blood flowing," Agent chuckled and raced roof-to-roof towards the direction the car pursuit was heading in.

Adam Prince was busy showing a small family, a mother and two kids, one of their younger, quieter dogs. "She's a sweetheart," Adam said, "You can pet her, if you like. She doesn't bite and is all vaccinated." The young boy quickly rushed over to the medium-sized terrier. The dog shied away a bit, but as the boy pet him it began to play.

"Don't be afraid," Adam coaxed the young girl.

She looked at the friendly man, to the dog, to her mother, and back at the dog. "Go on," her mother encouraged. The woman held out her hand and the dog waddled over to smell it. The girl did the same and the dog sniffed her fingers too. It then got into a playful stance and waited.

"I haven't seen her play so much ever. Looks like a perfect match, don't you think?" Adam asked the woman, who nodded.

"Yes, I think you're right. We'll take it."

Adam cringed a bit as he corrected a bit harshly, "Her. It's a her, not it."

"Oh, yes, we'll take her."

"Alright, I'll bring out the paperwork."

Diane sat back in her small mansion, watching the news from her TV that wasn't supposed to be released until next year. The pursuit she set up was going well and doing its job of distracting the cops and citizens. Not only that, but she set up a few small robberies at liquor stores to add some confusion while she conducted her own business. A crime lord from a couple cities over was coming and they were negotiating sharing a load of opiods, which gangs hardly ever did. The payoff, or possibly consequences, had to be huge. She knew this man was going to offer a partnership and then throw her under the bus. So, Diane was going to get him first. She would take the shipment, giving him none, and would plant evidence of his hang members around the area. He was the one who asked for it to be delivered and she had no ties to him, the police knew this. Within no time she would have the drugs and the competition in her clutches. She leaned back in the luxury leather couch and sniffed in the cool, metallic scent of the room.

Julia was watching the news in her large one bedroom apartment. Seeing the car chase, and hearing chatter from the Police radios she started to think. This felt more like organized chaos than just random happenstance. She sighed out, and sent out a line to make the people she worked for keep an eye out for any large shipments coming into or out of the city. Then got dressed into her comfortable usual clothes, and took off to go stop that car chase. So the news could focus on something else. She got to her motorcycle she'd gotten from her government. She had her head down to her shoulders go bionic, and got on. This behemoth was modded to go faster than any motorcycle out on the market, had police sirens. Most importantly of all it wouldn't break or misalign under her when she shifted her body to bionic form.
She took off fast weaving through traffic, and turned on the sirens. Making sure any cars in her way quickly got out of it.

Zero knew of a shipment of opioids were coming into the city. So decided to send his forces to obtain the shipment, and the man that was originally meant to meet with Diane. He got the information from the man about the trade, and then smiled madly with his eyes. Finding no further use of the man he killed them rather easily.
Taking the guise of the man replacing the gang's members with his own. He decided to pay Diane a little visit. After all if they were the head honcho of this city the best way to take over is to scope out the competition, and then eradicate it. Zero knocked on the door to Diane's hideout three times with an even spacing between them. "Heeeeeellllooooo? ~Anybody hoooome?~"

Diane heard the knock on the door and instinctively reached for the gun on the side table. She moved to the door and stood to the side of it. She looked at the watch on her wrist and pressed the screen. It showed the man (*Cough*JustGoingToGiveHimARandomName*Cough*), Ricardo Villas, standing at her front door. She wasn't aware that he knew the location of her secret hideout, but that didn't matter. She snapped to some of her henchmen, telling them to stay on alert. Diane put the gun into her belt and opened the door. "I didn't think you would find me," she chuckled.

A black Dodge Charger rested in the streets, sitting amongst many other cars in the parking lot. The vehicle itself almost looked like an unmarked police car, but instead it belonged to the two contractors sitting inside of it. A smoking hot latina badass sat in the driver's seat, wearing only her black jacket over her grey NAVY t-shirt, wearing black pants, looking around with sunglasses on. Beside her was a ripped black man, one who was pretty handsome himself as well. He was wearing a similar outfit, but wore a black shirt and dark grey camo combat trousers. Both of them were Carmen and Kevante respectively, contractors who've served together in both the US Navy Special Forces and in prison before that. Both of them have been good friends for quite a while, and both of them have come to rely on each other for support, whether it would be fire support or friendly support.

Both of them were looking around, bored out of their minds. "When the f*ck is it gonna come? C*ger el c*lo, hombre! Dios mío!" Carmen sighed, exasperated.

"Hey, chill out." Kevante said, looking at his cell phone, keeping up to date on the latest news on Facebook. "We've still got ten minutes until the expected time anyway."

"Yeah but we've been here for like an hour." Carmen groaned. "I swear, this is beginning to be no different than Syria, man. At least there, the Kurds kept us entertained."

"I see what you mean, don't sweat it though. This is just the boring part of it, we'll catch a break." Kevante said.

Carmen perked up, her enhanced senses picking up the police sirens from afar. "Do you hear that?"

Kevante looked around. "Hear what? The sirens? That's just another-"

"Sshh!" Carmen hushed him. "They're heading right this way." She looked in the rearview mirror. Far behind them, she could see police lights going crazy. "Do you think this is the shipment that we've been tasked to intercept?"

"There's only one way to find out." Kevante said. "C'mon... lets trail behind and wait until they crash. Wanna do the FBI trick when we get there?"

"Hell yeah, buddy!" Carmen smirked, leaning in and giving Kevante a fist bump. "This better be the f*cking shipment, I swear to f*cking Christ..." She said, starting the car up and buckling her seatbelt. Carmen looked in the rearview mirror. "Call it in to our client, so they won't stiff us and yell at us just in case if we made a mistake." Carmen said, to which Kevante nodded and complied. Carmen waited there, looking in the rearview mirror, seeing the convoy of cop cars trailing behind a vehicle, a suspicious looking vehicle... before the entire chase passed by them at high speed. Almost immediately, Carmen put the car into gear and sped off from the parking space, trailing behind the police chase.

Dr. Chaos was hard at work to test one of his theories, yet again. Hidden in a lab deep somewhere in The Hood of Threaft, Dr. Chaos smiled as he looked upon his laboratory setup. By no means was it a futuristic or even a clean one, it was just a massive workstation with lots of wooden tables, desks, chairs and cleanly assembled workbenches. It certainly looked like an evil low-budget lab, but while it looked low-budget, it certainly wasn't. Dr. Chaos not all of the best tools and equipment have to look pleasing, that was just an excuse for companies to overly price their products. Nope! Dr. Chaos built them himself, manufactured equipment has a tendency to be somewhat defective, a-and it takes too long to get a replacement when you can fix your own equipment on the spot... a-and when... when replacements take too long to arrive in the mail... this halts the progress of SCIENCE!!!

Dr. Chaos chucked to himself, looking inside of a small storage unit, a plastic one containing a chick. "Heheheh-hee-hoo-hah-hee-heh! I have finally created the greatest creation of all time! And by that I mean the 1,523rd greatest creation of all time! MWAHAHAHA!!" He laughed maniacally while the chick chirped a little. "Now, my little creature, you must show your true potential, as a feat of excellent and self-aware mad SCIENCE!!!" He called out. "Hahahaha!" He laughed. "Now... walk out and bask in your greatness, for you are THUNDERCHICK!!!" He called out, opening the container and letting the chick walk out onto the workbench.

The chick walked out casually, minding its own business, walking out onto the workbench. It briefly looked to Dr. Chaos before looking to its surroundings.

"Yesss... yess..." Dr. Chaos shuffled his hands. "Bask in your greatness, young creature... for you are a creature born of great POWAHHH!!!" He shouted. "Now... let's see how you fair!" He said, leaning towards the small infant chicken on the workbench.

Pointing his index finger at it and slowly trying to poke it, he made a soft poke at the chick, and he was zapped by a small jolt of electricity. A harmless jolt, really.

"WOAH... this is unbelievable! You have such capabilities... capabilities to be AWESOME!!! HAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAH!!!" He laughed before stopping himself. "Wait... hang on..." He looked around. "Where's my thunder button..." He then pulled a small remote control out from his pocket, and then pressed a button on it, activating the theatric thunder special effects that he had installed around his lab. "MWAHAHAHAHHH!!!" He laughed maniacally as the thunder crashed around him.

After a good 5 minutes of running, Agent got close to the pursuit. They were heading north, away from the shipment bay. She didn't know anything about the stolen drugs, so it was just a regular chase to her. In reality, however, this wasn't the car that held the drugs Diane was expecting. This was simply one of Diane's pursuits to distract the authorities. Agent saw the car heading her way. She pulled her grappling hook out of her belt, shot it to the building across the one she was on, and dropped down to the ground. She needed a way of stopping the pursuit without hurting many people. If only she was invulnerable, then she could just stand in front of the road and stop the car. She wished another hero would miraculously show up, but didn't count on it. She ran over to a manhole, lifted the circular cover up and waited for the car to get close. The woman planned on launching it through the windshield, hopefully causing the driver to brake. Please don't make him swerve, please don't run into a building, please don't hit them with the plate, Agent said in her head as she aimed.

Zero Cross
Arsenic

Arsenic laughed saying, "Oh please, it wasn't that hard to figure out. So are you gonna let me in or are we going to let people watch? I mean I don't know about you, but I like keeping such shady business practices behind closed doors." He stretched himself out yawning his voice sounded funny from the gas mask he wore. He moved past Diane once she let him inside, and found the comfiest couch and plopped down into it. "Mm, corinthian leather. Nice, feels like a hug for my butt." He looked over at the television, and then finally back to Diane. "Oh where are my manners? My name is Zero Cross. Zero is good, but Arsenic is even better." He gave Diane a two fingered half hearted salute. Before he leaned his head back letting the chair's comfort suck him in. "So tell me something, how long have you held the underbelly of Treaft city in your hands? And would you like the chance to increase your reach even further than you could have ever dreamed possible? Arsenic was wanting to fold Diane's organization into his own easily. The best easy way was to make this small time gang banger actually want in to his organization.

Julia Winters
Gadget

Gadget was trying to get in close to the truck her hand having turned bionic. If she could just get onto the truck she could stop it without getting anyone hurt. Seeing some vigilante get up in front of the truck Gadget knew she had to move faster. It got even worse when they grabbed a manhole cover. "Please god, don't tell me she's thinking what I think she's thinking." She jumped from her bike onto the truck digging her metallic fingers into the metal of the truck. Quickly she her technokenisis to control her bike, and keep it beside the truck. Then started her hard climb up the truck to the driver. When she got there several bullets pierced through the roof at her, making her panic at first. Then covered the rest of her body in metal making the roof groan from her weight. "Okay just a bit further. Gotta get the driver, and stop this thing before they run that vigilante over. She smashed the driver side window, and punched the driver in the face twice ensuring they were unconscious. Before trying to rip them out of the truck, and take over. Only problem was they were buckled in. "OH FOR F**KS SAKE!" She sighed out, as she tried to think then realized. She used her powers to make the engine stall, and hit the brakes. Only issue with that was that she wasn't braced for what came next.
The next thing Gadget knew she was flying through the air over the head of the vigilante. Then slammed into the ground creating a crater where she landed, and then rolled to a stop on her stomach. "Ooooowie.... Oooow oww owwwiieee road rash ow." She groaned in pain rolling onto her back, and breathed a few gasps of air.

Diane sat across from Zero, crossing one leg over the other. He sure was a peculiar man and she wondered what he was trying to get out of her. Her plan was to give him only information that could be found out through even the common criminal and nothing else. She wasn't going to trust him so quickly. "Increase my reach, huh? What exactly are you proposing, Arsenic?" The woman then whistled and curled her finger inward, calling over a servant. "A Mint Julep for me. Arsenic, care for a drink?" Even if this wasn't a real business deal, Diane figured there wasn't a big deal in being polite to the man.

"Oh gosh..." Agent murmured to herself and watched Gadget skid across the street. The police were quick to catch up and Agent raced to Gadget, "Hey, are you okay? I've got a first-aid kit in here." She pulled out the small kit and realized that Gadget was completely made of metal. "Oh wow, are you're that metal woman, huh? I saw you on the news! You're so cool!" She couldn't help but "fangirl" over the hero. It was only maybe her fifth month of doing hero work and she still had yet to meet other vigilantes and make any kind of alliances.

(If I messed up describing Gadget please let me know and I'll be happy to edit.)

Carmen slowly brought her car to a halt as soon as she witnessed the forced end of a hot pursuit ahead of her, performed by one of the Superheroes that roamed the city. "Sh*t, that changes things..." Carmen said, slowly parking the Dodge Charger into a parallel position, overlooking the entire scene.

"What do you mean?" Kevante asked, pulling out binoculars and looking over.

"A superhero's joined the mess... I think its best that we wait and hold our position to see if the cargo actually checks out. Besides... wouldn't want to try the trick on 50 cops... or I don't know... a f*cking superhero!"

"Jeezus sh*t, Carmen, calm down!" Kevante said, looking at the scene before him. "No one's exited the vehicle yet."

"Hm? Did.... people actually die?" Carmen asked, a little shocked at that fact, still looking from her parked Dodge Charger.

Gadget

Julia looked up at Agent with her glowing blue eyes they'd dull then brighten as she tried to remain conscious. The fall she'd taken was really bad going from around eighty mph to zero flat. It was enough to kill most people seeing as they were usually hitting a wall. But, thankfully with the use of her powers it hadn't come to that. No one besides her had gotten hurt, slowly she returned to her fleshen form. Her body was covered in scrapes, bruises, and a cut here or there. "Thank goodness... You're alright. Gadget smiled up at Agent then shut her eyes breathing shallowly, she was in a lot of pain. It was only thanks to her hard metallic body, and healing factor she'd be right as rain in a few hours. "Tell me something, what were you thinking when you jumped in front of that truck?" She opened her eyes again to look at Agent she was starting to heal already the cuts knitting themselves together, while the bruises began vanishing. Slowly she began to sit up grimacing a little. Despite that she just knew she should get out of the road. So that way people could continue on with their business. SHe had her bike pull up to her, and Agent. Then took a look at it, and started using her powers to mend anything damaged. She looked over at Agent again then back to her bike. "My name is Gadget by the way. What's yours?"
Zero Cross
Arsenic

Arsenic chuckled, "Simple really, what I'm proposing is a joining of organizations. I'll leave you in charge of this city, but in exchange you'll answer to me. Given your co-operation, I'll see fit to send you resources, and manpower to start taking over the neighboring cities. Then eventually the entire state, I could even make you a mayor if you wanted. From the money you'll get this house will seem like a mobile home." He made his arms move up, and around gesturing at Diane's home as he burst into laughter. Though in one second flat grew deadly serious. He seemed to be looking at her like a tiny bug on his windshield. Then in a hushed voice said,"Though of course if you betray me, I'll kill you. Just like I killed the other man you were actually supposed to meet." He looked to the man taking drink orders, and became cheery again. "I'll take a pina colada my good man. Be sure to put a bendy straw in it, thanks." Then he turned back to Diane his eyes shutting as he smiled at her. "Well what do you say? Doesn't that sound like fun? Huh, huh?" His head tilting innocently even though he could easily kill Diane, and she could feel that.

"I'm Agent," she introduced herself. She had always seen Gadget on the news, but never so close. "I figured I could get the driver to swerve by throwing the cover. My powers don't really call for much else besides brute force, really." She wished she had more sophisticated powers like Gadget. After wishing this she realized most people wished for powers in the first place. She was lucky to have the gift.

"You're healing quick," Agent said, watching Gadget's wounds stitch up, "but I can help you clean them." She held up the mediocre first aid kit to show her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
The servant nodded and walked away to another room. Diane considered Arsenic for a moment and questioned, "This really does sound too good to be true, but I prefer to stay out of the lime light. So, I get resources and manpower, but what do you get?" There was something off about the man. His aura made even her on edge, like he could kill her any second. Years of living on the streets had taught her how to be tough, but she was still human and her tough demeanor slightly faulted under the tension.
The servant returned and handed both their drinks.
Gadget
Gadget looked at Agent, and then the medkit, and nodded. "Please, I'd appreciate the help." She looked back at her bike running a hand over it gently. "You know the government I work for has been thinking about putting a team together. Since I've been working so well, and they think it'd be good for me to have back up. As I can't always be running around saving everyone. Or be in two places at the same time. Despite the flawed idea of throwing a manhole cover at the truck driver. I think you'd make a good asset, you're brave." She smiled slightly then looked over to the police as they pulled the driver out, and took him into custody. Which was rather easy as he was just starting to wake up. "I mean with the right training, and resources... I think you can be of great help to the city Agent." She heard a call on her commlink, and pressed a hand to her ear. "A bank robbery? Are you sure... But, I just got thrown off a truck. Yeah, alright boss." She removed her hand, and took a deep sighing breath. She was so tired, but there was just no rest in sight for her. "Looks like I gotta head out.... Hmm, you know what? Why don't you tag along. I could use the support, and I'd get to see what you can really do." She smiled again with hopeful eyes at Agent.
Zero Cross
Arsenic
When the drink came Arsenic put the straw into a little hole in his mask. Then started slurping it down, smiling with a great deal of glee. After it was empty Arsenic gave Diane his attention again. "Simple really, I want to take over the world, and I'd rather not do it all on my own. I need people that are smart, and well educated in how the world actually works in key managerial positions. People like you, that and I could use some help getting to this woman here. Arsenic threw a picture of Julia winters onto the table. "I want this B**ches head on a spike. She's the last loose end to finishing a project of mine. Though then again... If you can find me someone with superlative programming skills. I'd also be eager to hear about them. Because frankly, it'd be a shame to completely wipe out the last of the subjects, and all that hard work. I guess if I can't get her as a tool, I'll settle for killing her. I'm a very indecisive man sometimes." He began to laugh then sighed out deeply. "Give it some thought Diane, I'll keep in touch." With that Arsenic stood up straightened his suit, and went to leave.
Agent began to can alcohol into Gadget's wounds as the metal controlling woman fixed her cycle. She was embarrassed and then flattered by Gadget's words. When Gadget offered her a partnership, Agent burst in excitement, but managed to keep her cool. The words "the government I work for" rang through Agent's mind as she thought about the offer.
"Bank robbery? I'll help you," Agent agreed. This was her real chance to show Gadget what she could really do.
~~~~~~~~~~

Diane couldn't help but smile as Arsenic comically slurped his drink. She knew she had someone with good programming skills, but was unsure whether or not she wanted to share this information. "I will," she promised as Arsenic made his departure. Everything he offered seemed too good to be true. He seemed like a dangerous man, but she was a dangerous woman. Diane looked at the picture of Julia and called one of her henchmen over. She informed him, "If any of my people see this woman, notify me immediately."

After everything calmed down, Carmen looked angrily to Kevante. "There was nothing there." She said, groaning a bit. "It was a distraction."

"Sh*t." Kevante groaned. "C'mon... lets report back to him, and lets see if he's got anything else for us." He said.

Carmen nodded. "Let's just hope that he doesn't chew us out, and literally with one of his damn creations..." Carmen said, shifting the Dodge Charger into gear, drifting out from the parking space and heading down the city and towards The Hood.

Dr. Chaos looked at his creation. "You are such a work of ART!!!" He cried out, pleased with himself, and what he has worked on. "You are Thunderchicken, and you shall be the terror of my foes! You shall unleash the wrath of your energy upon my enemies, and you shall become the most powerful bird in the UNIVERSE!!! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!"

There was a knock on the door. A familiar voice came from the other side. "Hey, am I interrupting anything?"

Dr. Chaos twisted towards the door, almost breaking his spine in the process. "Oh! Carmen! Is Kevante with you?"

"Right here, boss!" Kevante called out from the other side of the door.

"Come on in! I've just finished my latest experiment! You should check it out!" Dr. Chaos said, putting on a pair of electrical gloves while the door to his lab was being unlocked.

Carmen entered the lab, swinging to the door happily. "What's up, Doc-" She was then interrupted by Dr. Chaos shouting "THUNDERCHICKEN, GO!!!" and a chick flying straight at her face at a ballistic speed. "SH*T!" Carmen yelped, using her super-reflexes to dodge the chick, which ended up going behind her and landed on Kevante's chest, bouncing off of him and giving him a light zap.

"Ah! Hey!" Kevante called out after he was zapped, avoiding the chick that was now on the ground.

"So... how do you like my new experiment?" Dr. chaos asked with almost puppy-dog like eyes, looking to his only two sources of protection and retrieval.

"Uhm..." Kevante looked to the chick, that was now walking back into the lab. "Alright... I guess?"

"Thunderchicken, huh? Sounds like a failed TV-pilot that's already dead on arrival." Carmen said with a soft smirk, looking to the chick and then to Dr. Chaos, shutting the door behind her. "And I regret to inform you that the shipment was a decoy."

Dr. Chaos frowned a little. "I feared as much. These simple drug peddlers that plague this city fear my SCIENTIFIC BRILLIANCE!!!"

"I think it's more along the lines that they won't want to get caught by the cops, and they don't want to get attacked by competing drug dealers." Carmen explained simply.

Dr. Chaos frowned. "Oh." He said softly.

"But yeah... the shipment that we hit was a decoy to draw attention away from the police. Smart idea. Whomever we're dealing with is one smart *ss motherf*cker." Carmen said before immediately correcting herself. "Not as smart as you, of course..." She said nervously.

"Carmen, my sweet... you don't have to worry about offending me. You may be dimmer than I am, but you have such a big, warm heart... that I should use it for an experiment on cybernetics!" Dr. Chaos said cheerily.

Carmen chuckled. "Thanks Doc, but I'm fine with keeping my heart for now." She said with a chuckle. "Maybe later."

Dr. Chaos nodded with a smile. "I know. Kevante!"

Kevante looked up from his phone, who was texting. "Yes, boss?"

"Keep a lookout outside, I've got a special task for Carmen." Dr. Chaos said.

Kevante nodded. "Of course." He said, exiting the lab, giving Carmen a fist-bump along the way. "See ya later, amiga."

"See ya." Carmen said with a smile before closing and locking the door behind him. She turned to Dr. Chaos.

"I'm assuming he's off limits too?" Dr. Chaos joked.

Carmen nodded. "Yep. You know the rules, no experiments on my friends. Or anyone that I don't want hurt or killed, for that matter."

Dr. Chaos nodded. "I know, I know!" He said, exasperated. "You make science just a little less fun for me."

Carmen thought for a moment. "You can make clones." She said. "Without any real... neural activity or whatever you call it."

Dr. Chaos thought about it. "Ahh... I can make clones alright... but unfortunately I do not have the budget to do that. A great idea for another time, perhaps."

Carmen chuckled. "I'd kinda like to have a clone of myself, I always thought I could make a better partner than Kevante."

Dr. Chaos grinned. "Mhm... but yes... of course. Come along now, I want to show you what your new assignment is."

How he had ended in this situation? Tom pondered. He had been lazying about the coffee shop as ever. Sipping his brew, reading his newspaper, and then the waitress, acknowledging his status as habitual, offered him a small errand for a couple of free bagels. Liquor store friend, she said. Do me a solid, she had said.

And now here he was, his trousers stained with spilled coffee, sitting on the ground, while a crude barrel of a shotgun aimed at his face. His hands up in the air, he bore a scowl between boredom and annoyance, but he wasn't trying to force anything of the situation. Other hostages were at the mercy of the handful of thugs, who were now manhandling the clerk for the cash, waving their irons around. They were the kind of ugly, thick bodied and thick minded sort, the pawns a gang would use as fodder.

He looked to his left, and then right. Here, a granny was cowering. Hah, should've left the alcohol earlier in her life! Tom bitterly thought. There, a couple of youths which obviously were trying to use fake IDs to pick booze soon found themselves regretting the decision. The boy had pretended to be brave.

He had been lucky to get away with a broken nose. Still, it moved Thomas apathic heart, seeing himself a mirror of the boy when he had been his age.

But she's gone Tom. She's dead. Like everything Whuston related. He bit his lip, before a foot poked his thigh roughly.

"Hey you, what's with your funny looking face? Are you trying to be the hero?"

A long sigh was his answer, as his eyes lazily rolled around. "I wonder if I truly can be one". He added, as afterthought.

"What?" The thug said, before a leg firmly smashed his trigger hand, quickly disarming him. Thomas quickly rose, adquiring a martial arts stance, before a second roundhouse kick stunned the goon, sending him tumbling to the ground. The other two thugs caught notice, as they started to fire. Alcohol and shards flew everywhere, but Thomas rolled on the ground, grabbing the discarded shotgun, and emptying it in the poor thug's feet, turning them into screaming, tumbling messes.

"Heroes don't gun perps down because they're in their way. I do." Thomas said, before tossing the shotgun, now empty, away. "Tell this to whomever sent you to rob the store. Don't cause shit in my vicinity. I don't appreciate it."

I wonder if i'll still get the free bagels? Thomas thought as he fled the scene.

Gadget

Gadget got onto her bike, ”Get on and hold on tight to my waist. I’m going to get us there fast which means using my powers to create roads of metal. Which is going to be a bumpy ride.” She then tore off once she was certain Agent had a good hold. Just like she said sparks of energy sparked off the metal guardrails making them move to create a very narrow ramp to jump off to get to the ground below. Then quickly reverted back to the way they were once they were off. Gadget was able to use her powers in such an insane way because she’d been given intense training in how to use them since she was ten. When they got to the bank Gadget parked in such a way the back wheel skidded them into a perfect parallel park behind a police barricade.”Tell me what we’re dealing with.” Gadget looked to the officers who quickly informed her, “We have three hostiles armed with body armor, fully automatic Ak-47’s, and grenades. They’ve moved several hostages into the bank vault, and had them load money into bags. They’ve demanded a fully fueled plane, and ride to the private airport on the south side, and have threatened to kill one hostage every thirty minutes it takes to get them what they want. So far twenty eight minutes have passed. They’ve already killed several of the hostages at the deadlines. They are going to kill someone else soon.” Gadget saw the body bags of the poor victims her hand balling into a fist of rage. ”We aren’t going to let that happen. Come on Agent, let’s go take out some scum.” She turned fully metal, but it was different she had turned her arms into shields. Then she ran at the door fast, and hard bursting in. When the men opened fire the bullets were stopped cold. Gadget shifted her arms back to normal making her pant, she was tired. She needed Agents strength to help take these maniacs down. One of the men threw a grenade, and Gadget grabbed it covering it with her body to stop the blast. She was thrown into a wall hard knocking her unconscious. “YES! We took out Gadget now they don’t have a choice,” one of them hollered.

Arsenic

Arsenic made his way to the local humane society, and asked for Adam Prince. Seeing as he was the scout he’d sent to Treaft city to scope it out, and was the one that told him of Julia. He wanted to get information pertaining to both Diane, and Julia. As he waited he walked to the kennels holding the dogs, and looked down at the pitiable animals. He looked at one in particular a small tube shaped thing with white fur, and black spots along with an antenna length tail. It made him smile behind his mask. ”Dawww so cute.” Then turned to look over at Tiger sticking his hands into his pockets. The usual cover story for their private conversations was Arsenic looking at an animal because he was an “animal trainer”. Usually he ended up adopting the animals, and sending them to a compound that trained in one use or another. A very rare select few were chosen as his actual pets, which was an incredibly posh existence. ”I’d like to take a look at this little sausage please.” He pointed at the white, and black dog as it panted, and wagged its incredibly long tail. In a hushed voice Arsenic said, ”I met another little dog Diane. She doesn’t seem to pose any sort of trouble to train, but I feel she’s still hiding something. Though the little runaway Julia… I’ve been looking everywhere for her, even sent some friends out. They got close to her, but she got away before we can lasso her.” He crossed his arms sighing deeply shaking his head. ”I swear if it’s not one thing getting in the way it’s another.”

Agent was nervous when she heard about the guns she immediately felt nervous, but tried her best not to let it show. No one wants to see any vigilante scared. Agent was strong, but she wasn't invincible. Her suit had some Kevlar, but she doubted it would help against the AKs. When they tossed the grenade, Agent dove for cover and reached into her belt. She pulled out four flashbangs and two smoke bombs, lit each, and tossed them. (Keep in mind, these are the things you get at firework stands.) While they were distracted, she tossed a net at the one guarding the safe and they were stuck. A simple knife wouldn't get them out, and they would definitely have a hard time scrambling out. There was one by Gadget, but he sounded like he was confused. The one in the safe was probably about to shoot. She raced as hard as she could and once she could see through the smoke everything seemed to move in slow motion. The gunman began to raise his gun, pointing at a cowering man. The look of fear grew in everyone's eyes. People opened their mouths and started to cry out. She stuck her hand out just as the man's grip on the trigger began to tense. The loud popping of the firing could be heard as everything moved back to a normal pace. The gun was pushed to the side, hitting someone in the shoulder and blasting at least half of the remaining bullets into the wall. Agent ripped the gun out of his hands, hit him in the nose with the butt, knocking him out. She dropped the first-aid kit and a pair of gag handcuffs on the ground by the hostages, hoping they would do their part. There were no keys to the cuffs, since you could push down a lever and they would pop open, but she figured it was better than nothing. There was one hostile left. Agent ran out of the safe and saw them reach for their belt, possibly for a grenade. Agent snapped the barrel off of the AK-47 she held and launched it at their head. They were instantly knocked out by the impact and she hoped they weren't dead. It was the only thing she could think of doing to save Gadget. Agent sped to Gadget and dropped down next to her, checking her pulse. The heroine was still alive, and Agent released all of the air out of her lungs. She went to the hostages and nodded to them, "Everything is okay. You're all okay." She couldn't say the same for the several dead civilians on the ground. If only we could've gotten here quicker, Agent wished. The hostages streamed out and the police flooded in. Agent stooped by Gadget and scooped the woman up. She took her outside and set her down on one of the many empty gurneys.

"Diane has always been a troublesome one," Adam agreed, taking out the young Dalmatian, "She's an old dog and has been around for a while, but don't mistake her for a stray. This town knows her, well, at least the ones who care about 'dogs' know her. She knows a few tricks here and there, so that's a plus. Now Julia, huh?" He scratched the Dalmatian behind its ears and handed her off to Arsenic. "She's been around the block for a while, catching her won't be easy. Even I wasn't able to leash her. She's making friends with some of the other strays, or so I've heard from a friend." He watched the dogs in their cages and put his fingers by the cages of the friendly ones and murmured, "I'm really glad I was referred to this job. Sometimes animals are much more understanding than humans." He took a moment to let his mind settle before offering, "Tonight I can help you with some of those dogs, if you'd like. Maybe we can grab a coffee before to discuss it. My treat."

Arsenic

Arsenic chuckled as he pet the Dalmatian with a great affection. It was rare, and a privilege to see the first chair act so soft. Though even during this moment he was calculating. ”That’s going to be a problem her making friends. Makes it all the harder to get a leash on her. He made the Dalmatian sit then give him paw, and finally roll over before giving the girl a nice treat of turkey. He watched Tiger with a careful eye, and then back to the dog. ”I’d greatly appreciate some help handling those strays, and I prefer milkshakes. But, coffee is good too even though it makes me hyper. Tell me have you managed to find any local smart breeds like I requested? I am looking to expand more here, and would prefer not to have the dogs I currently have misbehaving. Due to relocating them such a far distance from their current homes.” He was still petting the old dog enjoying the licks, and snuggles he got from her immensely.

"There's this dog named Thomas Cloverfield, definitely a smart terrier. He's always around the coffee shop, though he's been pretty calm nowadays. Then there's a dog named Doctor Brevil, a labradoodle that's just as smart, if not smarter. He's going to be harder to train, but with enough training I'm sure you'll get good results." Adam tried to think of it in a way to better understand but still keep it in the form of talking about dogs. He looked again at the Dalmatian and back to Arsenic. "He's one of those 'can't teach an old dog new tricks' kind of dog and will pee in the house more than you'd like, but if you can get him to do a couple tricks, it's more than worth it."
