Josh heard Joel's voice from behind him, but otherwise focused on making Lianne feel better. He crouched down, gently embracing her in his arms and pressing her head against his chest. "It's okay, Lianne... it's okay. You let it all out."

Watching Josh comforting Lianne, he heard Alex crying from the car and Avary bringing him out as Joel turned and went to get Alex. "I got him son...I think we should take Lianne and Josh with us."

"I think that'd be a good idea." Avary said handing Alex over to Joel.
Alex started calming a bit once he was in Joel's arms.

Lianne got up but was shaking and walked to the car and got in.

"Gotcha." Joshua said, standing up and rubbing his jeans off. He followed the rest of them to the car, his sympathy stretched thin between both Lianne and Alex. He honestly couldn't bear to see his family in this state.

Rocking and comforting Alex, Joel nodded at Avary and called for the other two "Josh...Lianne...come on, I'll take you with me okay?" he said.

Lianne looked at Alex and ruffled his hair to cheer him up. "Hello little tiger" She forced the sadness out her voice

Avary got into the car, kind of surprised to see Josh home.
Alex cried into his father's chest, now crying from the waves of sadness coming from Lianne. He looked up at Lianne, "Why you sad Leeanne?"

getting in the car and placing Alex down and buckling him up, he looked over at Avary, Josh, and Lianne

Josh smiled at Lianne, admiring her bravery in front of her brother. "It's okay, Alex, she's just having a rough time. She'll be fine, won't you Lianne?" He gently nudged her, flashing her a toothy grin.

Lianne nodded gently before staring out of the window, tears rolling down her cheeks and it was hard not to scream her brother's name but she whispered it over and over again

Alex put his little hand on Lianne to try to comfort her.
Avary liked how Josh could keep the mood up in painful situations like this. Then Avary looked back at his father.

"We will head back to the hospital for a bit and check on the other so we can eat. Then we will figure out what we will do afterwards." he said driving off.

"Anyway, you," Josh looked to Avary and Alex, "have you two grown since I last saw you? I mean, granted, it has been like a month or something, but still! I didn't think you'd change so much over the course of one trip." A smile was plastered on his face, as he tried to sustain the morale.

It wasn't long when they made it back to the hospital, Joel looked at them "Can you all help me with the pizzas?" he asked heading to the rooms

"Sure thing, Joel." Josh beamed, grabbing a few pizza boxes and carrying them out of the car, following Joel to the rooms.
