Watching Planet Earth in Biology class right now

Planet Earth is awesome.

But I'm a nerd. So.

Psychology studies suggest it (being bored) is more your conditioned response to your setting, rather than the subject (Planet Earth) itself. This is why it's always suggested to study for tests in the same place you're going to be taking them; your classroom.

I actually dislike those kinds of movies. I'm just as much as an animal lover as the next guy, but I could care less about the drinking habits of elephants. I'd prefer Matrix anyday.

Planet Earth was fantastic. High on its own graphics, with some weird bits that were interesting. I vaguely remember a bird comically flopping/falling around some cliff area, and everyone laughing in class.

Also, it means no class work or lecture, and it's not a bad pre-teen movie like High School Musical, one of my old Math teacher's favorite options. Or retelling a middle school/high-school class what the three states of matter are. Planet Earth made some of the best Biology class days.

I dislike the Planet Earth shows purely for this reason. My girlfriend's stoner friends literally can't watch educational shit unless their baked.

Then we watch a bunch of ants tearing through a carcass and everyone is like "it's so beautiful! I love nature!"

I miss shows like Junkyard Wars (which with that title, if it was made today it would be a reality show about some fucking hicks that loot junkyards or some shit) and Robot Wars, where people just take random crap and make awesome stuff with it.

Also, fighting robots never gets old.
