Too obvious and not bloody enough.

@Banana Your post is coming tomorrow morning, filled with rebirth oportunities, deus ex machina plot movers, world lore and more blood!

I was just hoping someone else died so I could put more world lore into it. Who knows? Maybe by tomorrow I have an extra gob to talk to lady death.

My bad on the delay. Haven't had time to fully sit down and write this out. It's time once again for "How bad can I make this situation?" Death of something will happen, that is almost becoming the only possible outcome. It might go well, we could sit down for some tea and be civilized someday. Or something bigger comes along and we turn this blood lust onto it instead of each other.

Name: Fafnir Sigurd, Dragonmancer
Appearance:

Race: Draconic Human (Human augumented by dragon's blood.)
Class: Knight, Druid (Dragonmancer)
Current Equipment:
-A long poled spear. The blade of the spear is made of steel and it is augumented to be especially heat resistant, and can channel heat through its shaft and into the blade.

-An iron-reinforced leather armor and tunic.

-A set of iron-clad knight armor he stole, as well as an iron short sword.

Background: Fafnir was born into a cult of dragon worshippers, bearing the nicknaming 'hellfire apostles'. It was their center belief that the only way humans can achieve perfection is to become dragons. They belief in a dragon deity named Kilgarrah, who they claim is the god of all dragons, and will either use wild dragons or build statues and other monuments to figure head their religion. Whether it be a living dragon or a simple object, they will often perform sacrifices, both of humans and beasts, to appear their dragonlord. Offerings such as living victims, gold, and the dragonsbane herb, are offered in a bonfire, and if they have the chance, they will appease their dragons with feeding them live sacrifices. Live dragons are either wild dragons that have adapted to being fed by these delusional mortals, or weaker ones are often captures and held in dungeons, showered with treasures and meat to suffice the beast. Inbetween their religious ceremonies and sacrifices, they did hold one truth amidst their madness, and that was the power of dragons. They have written a spellbook in draconic that lists many different spells or 'facts' about kilgarrah.

Fafnir was percieved as the prodigy child upon birth, due to him being born of the cult's leaders. Showering him with appraisal inbetween the abusive rituals he was forced to partake with, carving runes in his skin, and forced into such horrendous sacrifices, Fafnir was further raised upon the many spells and magics of the dragon worshiping cult. He was said to be of the cult's 'dragonmancers' those that are chosen by Kilgarrah to obtain the full powers of a dragon. In order to become a dragonmancer, one must first let the blood of a dragon's seep through the runes carved in the flesh by the cult, then they must drink that blood afterwards. Though Fafnir would be the first and last of this title. At the age of 18, Fafnir looked upon their imprisoned dragon, Fenrir. Though this dragon couldn't speak, Fafnir knew it wanted to escape, he saw what the other cultists didn't, and that was how absurd their faith was. Fafnir had no emotional connection to the cult, they had never raised him to feel such a connection of family. He decided at that day, that he didn't need some cult to achieve perfection. He used what powers he had been granted too in order to exterminate the cult, freed Fenrir who he ascended into one of his spirit dragons, and sent fourth on a quest to meet his own goals.

Upon his journey, he would bond with a select few other dragons, pillage villages and travelling caravans for treasures, and fashion himself his spear and armor. Honing his powers further without the guidelines of a book. It is his goal to become the ultimate force that there is, and to bring dragons for their rare and endangered state into a plague that forces all creatures, monsters and humans, into submission at the lower end of the food chain. For now though, since he doesn't wish to provoke other monsters that may be stronger then his current state, let alone overwhelm him, he plays along to help them against the human forces until he is ready to claim dominion over the world.

I am warning you people. If the spider dies (which will probably ensue in him being stuck in some dark afterlife corner, as it happens), the fat tick-summoning mind flayer might just become a reality.

@dragonmancer

I like the concept, but let me get one thing straight:

You have a warrior/mage hybrid with super strenght who's able to fly or create an iron armor around his body capable of using destruction magic and summoning dragons. In MMO terms, you have a DPS CC Mage Tank that also has summons. This character is possibly stronger than the entire party combined. He'd be a great boss, but he doesn't really fits in the power level of the party.

To make things fair, I'd have to tailor the entire campaing to gimping your character.

I like the concept, but I'd tone it down quite a bit. I'll leave what to downgrade up to you, but here's my sugestion:

- Remove the Dragon summon.
- No super strenght OR no magic. An option would be being as strong as a human can be while having some magic abilities.
- Guardian of personal treasures is way too strong of an ability. Invulnerability with offensive powers is not balanced at all. I'd completely remove it.

@6slyboy6 @Banana

Take a look at Dragonmancer's character and let me know what you think of it.

Yup, pretty much what I thought. Remember THAT thing we talked about in PM? He'd be perfect for that.

@dragonmancer Look man, I respect the effort you put into the CS. Its well written, and almost non cliché at some points. However, as stated above, our current party is not on the same level. If you were to nerf the dragon summon (remove it) choose only 2 spells, and reduce the effect of all natural buffs (faster than human, little more agile, strenght of an orc, takes moderate dmg from fire) then I could see you being a good party member. But for now, you are not only barely fitting into the whole context of the RP, but straight on kicking it in da ballz.

Ps.: We intend to make our characters het stronger over time, so can yours. Also I'd give you a debuff, like requires daily 2 hours of sunbathing to regain energy, obscene amounts of food needed, etc etc

@dragonmancer
With what the other two said, he's just a bit OP. Not that I have a problem with that for combat reasons, but it would make things dull fast.

For my recommendations, we do have a mage in the party. If you went with low knowledge in magic, you could maybe learn a few spells from my character, or you could do the opposite and be rather scrawny initially and have a good magical aptitude, and learn from the Orc or the Ogre how to be strong physically.

Or nerf both and keep your dragon powers. Just limit to only one at a time.

Being fireproof is another thing I noticed. That doesn't seem that bad to me, but in some situations it could be just plain op. I'd make it so he takes heavily resisted fire damage, but not enough to completely immune himself to it. You can say you're immune to fire, but if someone comes up and literally drops the sun on you, it's no question that you're going to get destroyed.

For little things, here we go.
- Lower his strength greatly. Keeping it high is fine, but he will need to struggle to keep it if it's like 2 tons.
- Dragon summon needs removal or great nerf.
- He can be a bit slower.
- Pain tolerance is fine, but don't have him be like "oh i'm good" after his leg was just removed completely.

Those are my notes.

Apologies for my sheet I wasn't sure of the level of this rp. With this in mind I'll have to brainstorm a bit. Even with the nerfing options you gave me I feel as though I should make an entirely different CS altogether, for example, I had the thought of
