Yeah, I did it for a time as a supplementary income after I saw you suggest to someone it at some point. Got in the highest paygrades pretty easily but haven't done it for a while and wouldn't ever consider trying to rely on it as my only income. I don't need the practice and spending your entire day writing well-written articles about things might have very little knowledge about and have to research is not worth that kind of pay. You could get a mindless job at a market or restaurant and make about the same (if not more) as you would if you were putting forth an effort to get as many articles as you could done each day.
But I do use it as an excuse to tell people I've "done some journalism work online" and you can utilize it on a resume to show skills like time management, writing, following specifications/orders, attention to detail, research... all sorts of crap, so there's a plus.
Ah, yeah I just re-write articles that are already on the internet. I pull up 3 or 4 sources and then kind of work them into one article. So a 500 word essay will take me about 25-35 minutes.
I would take a job at a super market, but it's way too hard where I live, people aren't hiring and I need to make enough money to pay rent you know?
Not to mention working from home is amazing. I get to bring my cat to work everyday,and since the work picked up I've been a lot less stressed, which keeps me out of spam being douchey to everyone
