Hamish Lancaster

Name: Hamish Joshua Lancaster

Age: 56

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Hamish stands at a respectable 6 foot nothing at an average weight, he tends to wear similar clothes to what's in the picture whenever he isn't working as well, amazingly enough he only has one scar, something you could definitely say is a bit of skin off his nose, as in he was shot at from his right side, which had scarred his nose permanently.

Bio: Hamish was born in Britain to a corrupt and wealthy family, after sixteen years of abject luxury and an excellent home tutoring the disgruntled teenager ran away from home once he found how his uncaring and hateful parents earned their salt. Hamish was lucky enough to time his escape before he was due to go to a boarding school which was notorious amongst the education industry as a place of violence, rape and general abuse.

The teenager had run to America to escape such a depressingly unpleasant future in 1954, a few years later the drifting young man stumbled on his new home, Ankora. Wishing to see his new paradise purged of such scum as his own parents he joined the police. He worked his way up to sergeant until one day when he was having a meal with a fellow officer a vigilante passed by, gave the surprised sergeant a brutally beaten up criminal and a card. Following this event Hamish had learnt of and joined the Peacekeepers in secret, keeping a good balance between the police work and the vigilante acts, even marrying a fellow Peacekeeper.

Unfortunately 2006 spelt disaster for one of Ankora's oldest vigilantes as his wife was killed by Accordance Vigilantes, the woman he cared so much for had been murdered by tyrants. Now the Peeler has to hide from the law while helping them. "I'm home..."

Personality: Hamish was an annoyingly optimistic and kind-hearted individual, happy with life as a whole. Since 2006 he still has that spark of happiness, however he's weary of the world and not as optimistic. When dressed up as the Blue Devil Hamish is sarcastic, bombastic and a comedian. The Blue Devil tends to quote literacy works a lot as both an insult to the common criminal's intelligence and to make the event entertaining. "Stand before me ye mighty! And despair!" Take a guess what that was based on, it has something to do with an O.

The Blue Devil is a bloke in a Peeler uniform and gas mask, the said peeler uniform hides military police armour Hamish has managed to pinch, the top hat hides a switchblade in it and the gas mask works perfectly well.

Abilities/Skills: Hamish is a talented marksman with the entire Police National Computer available to him. He also knows how to get into buildings, as well as out of them in a hurry if need be. Just don't ask him to agile without a grappling hook or climbing equipment.

One switchblade
His gas mask
One shotgun
One 44. Magnum revolver
Ammunition needed for both guns
One megaphone
One voice amplifier in the gas mask
A grappling hook for emergencies

Alignment: Lawful Neutral: He kills whoever he thinks is a criminal excluding other illegal vigilantes, his judgement is very strict.

Reputation: The average criminal sees the Blue Devil as a nightmare, the middle and upper classes see the Blue Devil as criminal scum, the police see him as an old friend and the poor see him as a kind soul. Hamish is just seen as a reasonable and honest sergeant by the average person.

Accord Compliance: The Blue Devil tends to see the Accord as a reason to significantly injure criminals even more, just to tease the rich and the government even more.

That would be fitting of the bloke, but that is of an English Naturalist... had a bit of difficulty finding a decent enough picture for Hamish.

I am here, just, not for long. I have already PM'd one of you about taking over the reins as GM. Should that person not accept, I'll message another one of you. Ad continuum.

I have lost motivation to write and, quite frankly, have no idea where to go with my characters. I don't wish to hold up proceedings, as I already have, so I'm passing off the torch, so to speak. I do not wish for this to die. You all have been great, thank you.

I'd like you to meet your new GM, @Guess Who. He has more experience GMing than I do. Everything, from Character sheets, to Co-GM's, to possible plots, is up to him. I'll be here, on occasion, lurking, so mention me if you want my input on anything.

Alright, time to get serious. So just so I can get a general idea of what everyone wants from this RP, are there any kinds of themes, plots, sub-plots, and/or anything else that anybody possibly would like to implement at any time in the RP? Just so I can get a general idea of what direction most people would enjoy to take it.

On another note, @Eviledd1984 you can move your CS to the character tab and begin posting whenever you like. You have permission as well @Orlan though, this is no requirement, I wouldn't argue if you were to change maybe a few things. I can't help but see a few similarities between my and your character like hero name and backstory. Again, this is no requirement and if you feel that you'd rather keep him as is that is completely fine, it's just a suggestion.

So how's everyone's week so far? Sorry I really haven't done much as GM so far. I've been taking Summer classes to gain more units and this week is finals so I've been studying a lot. Next week though I'll be done so expect me to try and kick this into high gear.

P.S. I do plan on keeping my promise about creating a couple villains before the week's finished still so expect those to be a thing in a couple days.
