Rai hurried inside the building soon after his arrival. He stepped into the classroom and spotted a woman who he figured was the teacher, Rai proceeded to bow to the woman, as was customary in most schools. Rai then turned to the class and bowed whilst silently hoping that nobody here would have problems with him right out of the gate, he didn't need his potential squad members trying to kill him already. Rai quickly took an open seat and began to look over the rest of the class, he couldn't gather too much based on his position but most of the cadets didn't seem to pay him much notice, Perfect Rai thought to himself.

The teacher said, "alright class, settle down now! Today Professor Guren will be talking to you about Cursed Weapons. He'll be here in about fifteen minute so study hall until then."

Rai was visibly confused for a moment, Wait, WHY did the teacher just refer to Guren as "Professor"? If Guren is a "Professor" then does that mean what I think? The look of confusion on Rai's face disappeared as he thought to himself, Hold on, did Guren lose that bet JUST so that we would end up in this class?! Did he trick us again!? There wasn't much that he could do about it now, so Rai decided to sit tight and continue his analysis of the other cadets in the class. They came in all shapes and sizes, most of them looked like they were quite strong to Rai, he would have to find a way to counter that.

Jean stared at the boy looking at all of the other cadets, grinning. Yet another kid thinking they were ahead of the game, analyzing their classmates. All of us are smart enough to do that. He whispered to him. "Jean Teim. You?" He turned back around, not waiting for a response. He leaned back in his chair casually, listening for a response or acknowledgement that he had heard him. He ran his hand through his hair, waiting.

Rai jumped slightly as the other boy whispered to him, he wouldn't admit it but Rai was a bit off-guard at the moment. He looked over to the boy who had just introduced himself as Jean and responded "Rai Hyakuya." Might not be a bad idea to get on this guys good side, only other cadet I know is Ellie after all. Rai thought to himself, he hoped that he hadn't pissed anyone off yet, last thing he needed was people gunning for him right out the gate.

"Now, what is your goal here? I know lots of these cadets just want the glory. Me, I just want to kill every vampire I can. And I will. If anyone tries to stop me, I'll kill them, too. Anyways, back to you." He gave Rai a chilling smile. Inside, he was deep in thought. Is this kid a threat? If he is, he better not get in my way. I plan to be the best of this class, and he can count on it. He sat, staring at the kid.

"My goal?" Rai's face took on a serious expression quite quickly. "The vampires, Those parasites killed a bunch of people I really cared about." Rai winced a bit as he said this, these memories were painful but they were still his reason to keep going. Jean's stare was certainly unnerving, Rai wasn't sure if this guy was honestly curious or planning to cut him open."I got out of a really bad situation... and someone else paid the price. I'm here to learn how to kill these freaks so I can get revenge on the fangs. Other than that I want to make sure that what happened to me doesn't have to happen to other people" Rai said as he shifted in his seat before continuing. " Nobody should have to die for someone else's freedom, It just isn't right." Rai said solemnly.

Jean grinned, sincerely. "I'm glad you said that. I need to make sure that my friends are people that are worth it. And lucky for you, you are. Listen, don't think I'm insane. I'm not. I just want to make genuine friends." He stuck out his hand, as if he wanted Rai to shake it. "Let's start over. I'm Jean. Nice to meet you."

Guren suddenly came in. "All right, cadets, settle down now! Today we're going to be talking about Cursed Weapons. Also known as Demon Weapons. Can anyone tell me what they are?"

Jean turned back around and leaned back nonchalantly in his chair, bored. He called out. "Can we just learn how to kill vampires? I'm already dying over here of old age." He smirked, making direct eye contact with the professor. He yawned, acting bored for the sake of seeing how far he could go.

Guren narrowed his eyes. "Kids...." he muttered. He said, "Teim, is it? You wouldn't last five milliseconds on the battlefield with that attitude and without the basics in that itty bitty brain of yours." A few snickers from the other kids ensued until he quieted them down. "That's why you're not out killing vampires."

Rai looked back up at Jean, gone was the chilling smile and the generally unnerving atmosphere, replaced by what seemed like a genuine sentiment. This guy is definitely something else, still he seems pretty friendly Rai thought to himself. "A fresh start eh?" Rai said before letting out a slight chuckle and reaching for Jean's outstretched arm "Sounds good by me, I'm Rai. Pleasure to meet you." Rai said as he shook Jean's hand. On the inside, Rai was extremely relieved, he wanted nothing less than to piss off one of the other cadets. Instead of doing that though, he somehow managed to pull off the complete opposite. All in all though, Rai thought of Jean as a relatively good guy, even if he was a little off at first.

As if on cue Guren finally showed up, hopefully he was going to impart some knowledge on an actually useful subject. Rai sat down and prepared to take notes, he wasn't about to let Guren think he wasn't even trying

Jean laughed, unphased. "Good job, old man. You succeeded in dissing a kid. Now, quit wasting time, we're here to learn, aren't we?" He smiled coldly at the man. He sat forward in his chair, raising an eyebrow. "Now, get on with it, professor. What's the first topic?" He sat watching the man with an attentive stare, grinning.

Guren rolled his eyes and he said, "Cursed Weapons. Weapons with a demon inside them. The only way to very effectively kill a vampire. How to use them? You hit the vampire with the weapon, activate the Curse within. It's fatal to a vampire. But there's a catch. You have to be strong enough to fight the demon inside the weapon."

"Oh, I'm more than strong enough. Which is more than half these glory feeders can say." He grinned, putting on a show. "Now, when can I get my hands on one? Trust me, I'll be worth it." He stared attentively, serious. "You can bet, I'll kill all of those blood-sucking bastards. And I'll never stop until all of them are wiped out for what they did. They don't deserve to live. They deserve to die a painful death. And I'll deliver."

Rai was listening attentively to the lecture. Guren mentioned using demon infused weapons to kill vampires, but something about that didn't quite sit right with Rai. Wait, you have to be strong enough to fight the demon? Is my weapon going to try and kill me in my sleep if I'm weak? Rai thought to himself. Jean and Guren had immediately started going at it the moment Guren opened his mouth, and Rai was enjoying every second of it. Jean was pretty straight to the point, Rai agreed with basically everything he said, they were definitely on the same page when it came to the vampires and their desire to get out there. Even though he wanted to ignore it, Rai felt as if he needed to know more about this whole demon thing, so he spoke up. "Hey professor, what exactly happens if you're not strong enough to fight the demon?" It was probably a stupid question but Rai really didn't care if the answer was embarrassingly obvious, he needed to know.

Tasuke waved goodbye then started to walk away. She has strong feelings about the people that she lost that night, But she is going to get herself killed over it, I might go ask Ferid about what happened that night and get more info on it until then I have to keep An eye on her so she Doesn't get herself killed. Tasuke thinks to himself.

He looked at Rai and smiled with a disturbing grin. "You get possessed and we have to kill you or you die because the demon kills you itself."

Aya glanced back seeing his expression. This noble was too easy to read. He showed his thoughts on his face unless he purposely hid them like when he sent her on that mission.

Well THAT sounds pleasant. Rai thought to himself. When it came to cursed weapons there were three possible outcomes: Beat the demon, get possessed by the demon, or straight up die. Dying and being possessed were not viable options so he would have to kick a demon's ass, how hard could that be? Rai also made note of Guren's expression as he spoke, Why the hell was everyone looking at him like that today?! Doesn't matter, Guren's just trying to intimidate us and he's not very good at it. "Right, so I'm guessing that shiny piece of work is a cursed weapon, looks great and all , but question is when are you gonna let us get one?" Rai said as he gestured to Guren's sword. He already knew the answer to the first part, That was the sword Guren used to kill that vamp earlier after all. Guren wasn't exactly the type to rush these things, chances are Guren would have something big planned for this, so whatever kind of test Rai would have to go through, he would be ready for it.

Guren folded his arms and smirked. "Tell you what. If anyone can pass the test I'm about to give, I'll give them a Demon Weapon."
