@Vec I'm guessing from the 'like' that you approve of the rivalry between Andaluja and Belintash?
@The Narrator did you see the little message I left you at the end of my nation sheet? Thoughts?
@Buddha quite like what you did to the map. I hope you can do something similar to Flynn's once he has a final version up ^^'
@Flynn Pink. I want a bright pink. A green colour please.
@Cyclone Hmm, so Andaluja has been part of the Grand Kingdom since
236 179 PA (its now
299 242 PA). If the Khargats invaded and were subjugated nearly 100 years ago (around the same time Yesini
@Ryuzaki was conquered) that would mean that it was before Andaluja joined. Perhaps Eskanadra had a good enough relationship with Dieuporteille
@Buddha (perhaps Dieuporteillians used to go there, and still do, for religious studies etc? Creating a rather amicable relationship?) that they answered a call to arms against the heathen hordes. Thoughts? Because from what I read it seems the horde was concentrated in the west and didn't do much in the east before their eventual subjugation (but, like with the Meda-Chabians, perhaps there have been Khargat raiders coming in over the Andalujo-Belintashian border, which has added to the friction).
Now that I think about it, Buddha, your NS implies that Dieuporteille suffers from a low population but high quality of soldiers, while the quality of Andalujan soldiers is poor at best, but the population is through the roof. Given their already religious natures, the potential for a historical friendship mentioned above, I don't see it as being too far-fetched that there are plans underway to send Andalujans over the Dieuporteille to join the military there and bolster Dieuporteille's low numbers. Benefits Dieuporteille economically, population-wise and diplomatically, and benefits Andaluja as the men who do return will have greater expertise and will help improve the Andalujan military.
@Ryuzaki What Vec said. The majority of our discussions have been to do with better integrating the histories of the various provinces and establishing our positions etc. I admit Yenin is a bit far from Andaluja, so I haven't yet considered any potential history between them (especially since Yenin has only been part of the Grand Kingdom for 100 years, and Andaluja even less). If you have any ideas, shoot them my way. In the meantime, I'll be re-reading your CS and NS to see what ideas I have. But from the map the Flynn made, it seems that Yenin has an even bigger coastal border than Andaluja (I didn't know that x\ so that might create some frictions, since Andaluja prides itself on being the centre of seamanship, fishing, shipping etc.)
Edit: oh,a nd
@Cyclone, just remembered, I mention in my sheet that Laxion travelled to the lands beyond the western border in his youth, and was eventually captured by brigands as he was returning. Perhaps he set out with a Khargat trading caravan? That would mean he has a rather good understanding of their ways. I'm also thinking that the brigands who captured him were in fact Khargats (not sure if independent Khargat raiders would raid the Khans caravans now and again...) but eventually released him when they realised that he spoke their language and understood their ways pretty well. Thoughts?
