Yeah, not much changes really. The only difference between 21 and 20 for me was the ability to legally buy alcohol.

Also, 20 is thereabout that age where everything suddenly speeds up. The gap between 18 and 20 feels about as long as the gap between 20 and 25.

Yeah life speeds up hella scary. And I don't even remember 99% of my life so far, like - it just fades to black after a while with some split memories here and there which aren't probably all that accurate. Meditating 20 minutes a day does slow it down though, as where time is lost is when you're stuck in your head all day.

Halo I thought you were 20 something already, I was just in my 1st year at uni at your age so don't worry you're already doing half of the shit already. The other half will be an endless cycle of failures that will sooner or later form into some kind of manageable set of compromises with life's demands and your want to sit in PJ's and eat cheerio's.

I'm going to ignore all of the sensible and reassuring comments in this thread to freak out over this one, because I like to have my pre-existing opinions and views validated above listening to others' wisdom.

But seriously, I'm freaking out less about the age itself and more just that I actually set that date myself as the day I'd start getting my shit together, find a summer job, quit smoking (again), look for a place to live next year, fix things with the family, etc. It's grim and I wanted to vent it for the 10 seconds it took me to make the thread. Well let me tell you it doesn't matter if you are 15, 20, 40 Or 60. It is all about the quality of your life and how you live it. Yes being an adult does tend to suck the green hairy monkey balls but it does have its advantages as well. It is just up to you whether you focus on the bad things or the good. I hope that your new age comes with many good times and hopefully not too many of the bad. Damn I sound like a greeting card. Lmao.
