Personally if it's alright with Dedonus. Each Nation, Country Et Cetra should have it's own Gods. If they exist to some degree in our world. Unless said Gods were worshipped by other Nations, or were remarkably similar and within a certain range of territory.
I mean Rome and Greece are close enough that it's possible Greek Gods and Roman Gods were confused among the people as their own deities. Now whether those Gods would grant boons to either nation if they weren't worshipped properly is probably the key difference between the two Nations. If the Greek Gods were also considered Roman Gods then would they respond to Roman names?
And if not. Does that mean Roman Gods didn't exist?
