Can't you edit it?
I can edit it any time to where anyone with a link can edit it, but considering the creeps lurking the site, I much rather not until I'm ready and such. I'm also fiddling with things to see if I can make a link where you can only view it using that set link and another link where you can use to edit it. Just not figured that part out.
I've also been considering making an RP thread of my own, as I've a ton of random lore that I've created over the past few months for stories that I'll never write, but I'm not sure of that yet either.
My suggestion is focus on story, before you do or add lore to the world. If you don't have a premise/idea, which if you think about it even NMS' sandbox rp has a one: a super hero rp, then it might crumble a week into production or sooner. If you can easily come up with a premise that keeps your attention, even after you set aside for several months, then you have a good one to focus and drive on. The reason I say this is because often people get excited by 'shiny' ideas which hold your attention only until the gleam fades away. When that happens, you lose all fun and excitement in the story which can spread to your players, who are depending on you to help them move it, even in a sandbox.
Another suggestion, go in with someone you know and trust. Then come up with the premise, the story outline (not the gritty details, see below for an example), the world and NPCs key to your story, and finally the location where people can start or need to get to.
Intro: Introduce the foreshadowing of the threat, setting and Players intro.
Rising Action 1: First threat
Rising Action 2: Second threat or encounter
Rising Action 3: Another threat/encounter/something important
Climax: Usually a big fight or something revealing to the players
Fallout: Results of the player's actions and the fight, usually passing of some time.
Keep in mind to keep them loose and flexible, even independent of the players' actions, yet predestined to happen. Like a event set in time that no one can stop, but they can influence the outcome and degree of its damage. Granted, that's my method and you should seek one out that works well for yourself because everyone is different in GMing.
