@KoL Do I need GM permission to have imaginary powers that only work in imagination land against people who want me to have those powers so the fight is more entertaining?

That's what I was assuming, that these powers are simply for more fun storytelling while in memory warps reality land. If anyone who is facing Miyu says "No, you don't have your powers" then, she doesn't. Because they only exist when the others there want her to have them. Henry subconsciously wanted a better fight with Miyu, so he got one. Zeruel maybe wanted a more satisfying battle when he gets to kill the angel that always badmouths Deva?

Not really, though we were wondering where they came from to begin with. The real question is will Miyu still have these powers after leaving the Oblivion Dungeon.

I guess you could at least give us the least of a heads up as, you know... common courtesy to the GMs?

@KoL Eh? Was everyone else running the NPCs they created and fought in their dream sequences by you? Because that's the status Miyu would fill while this maybe her, maybe not her (notice, her title is now Miyu and not Miyu the Honorless Blade in these posts), serves as a foil to develop other characters/have some mindless fun, and her strength is determined by THEM as opposed to me.

Regardless of anything, what happened, happened so carry on.

Just be sure to at least ask us in advance the next time you want to decide to make any alterations at how the setting is supposed to work, because the Dungeon wasn't supposed to behave like that thus I was assuming they weren't imaginary at all but latent powers on Miyu that you didn't ask us about.

@KoL "trapped in the border between the real and the imaginary, a place where delusions and truth weave together in a complex lattice" I really thought this was a place where your memories or desires or fears or imagination effected reality. My bad.

If you're that concerned about the imaginary powerset, I made a list.

I was basically using it as a chance to play with Miyu using the powerset I had always wanted her to have (with a few additions like Traitors Blade that I want for fun duality with Henry), seeing I won't ever actually get it.

@The 42nd Gecko You can find what they look like on the previous page. They act both like ariel artillery but excell as underwater "submarines" in movement and agility.

I wouldn't have any problem with it if you asked before and mentioned them being imaginary, or even if you mentioned them being latent powers like Diana's dragon power. And I don't have any problem with them now. My issue was you doing it without asking or specifying things.

It wouldn't have costed more than one post to ask and you can be sure that we would have replied well since the idea was to have characters develop during this encounter. What I have a problem with is you assuming things and leading me to a false conclusion.

This was a matter of a simple and harmless misunderstanding, so it can be ignored with no consequences. Just remember to ask next before you grow new powers or change the mechanics of the setting on your own. We probably won't negate it if things are done cordially.

@KoL Apologies, I thought I was doing a self contained act that had no repercussions anywhere.

I was also pretty sure you wouldn't allow someone a powerset like that in the real world, as it completely ignores power level differences and would making fighting the likes of Taura, Juno, Iona, or Eos about as difficult as Bonesword, in that it would be an even fight.

Tweaked to a more realistic version, it could work. Otherwise what you have there combined the powers of two characters that aren't even supposed to appear on this story and that, yes, are supposed to be able to take down the Vassals.

Just to note, half of those powers are those of the true version of the actual owner of the Sword Eos used on KC-00032 and the other half are those of Juno's Master. Theirs are even more broken, but still it's nearly the same thing.

Furthermore, Juno, Iona and most of the other Vassals don't really rely on pure raw power to win fights. Juno used to, but she developed a lot since her inception on this RP (trough 1x1's and side materials), and Iona was always a Lady of War at her core. If such a build evens powers across the board, skill becomes the main issue in a fight and these two have a lot of it. Taura on the other hand just lives for fun, winning or losing never really matters for her, it's all about the challenge.

@KoL Yeah, that's what I thought. I imagine the half of the powers I'd have left at the end of this would be the ones Miyu actually already has.

I am now considering making a character that exists to kill vassals, but doesn't appear like it.

Alternatively, just upgrade Frog to the ultimate beast killer.

Well, I suppose this is one way to get mauled by KoL.

Eh. Frog was thrown into an incinerator, Lillian was yelled at by Eos (and almost accused of treason), Abigail died in vain because Victoire survived an attack that imo should've destroyed her, and there will likely be more stuff in the future that I want to call bullshit on but won't out of fear.

If I get mauled, I get mauled. It's a living at this point.

Trust me, Abigail would probably defect from Heaven if she had the chance, but she's fearful of what Iona or Deva would do to her.

Also, Frog only needs a single bullet. He can Rat-ta-tat.

Diana threw Frog away because he reeked of corrupt children's programming.
