Dang...It doesn't really fit here, but I just wanted to share a little song that I made because of how absurd things were going in a completely unrelated RP. Gimme your thoughts on it, if you want.

@heckno12 @luckyblackcat Quick question: what level to caught/gifted Pokemon start at? 1? 5?

Also, what determines how many levels a Pokemon gets out of battling? Is it just auto 1 lvl up, or?

@Dusksong 1 is the standard, but some bigger situations can justify 2 or 3, try to stay within the same tier as everyone else if at all possible. If you go on and say that you were training I'd just give it 1.

As for caught and gifted Pokemon, just put them in the range of your others just to keep things relatively fast tracked.

1 for wild pokemon level, or 1 for how many levels you gain after fighting? I just need some clarity here.
