@Heckno12 Yeah. Type advantage isn't everything (fer beat me in Showdown, after all).
Sophia will have to take on at least the Bug gym, as I'm planning for some of her Pokemon to learn Signal Beam. That'll offset the Dark weakness somewhat.
@LuckyBlackCat Probably Crustle. Our resident bug gym leader believes in heavily defensive bug types. It may be unconventional, but it certainly makes for an interesting battle.
@Heckno12 Ok, that sounds like the kind of thing people wouldn't normally expect. Does she also have Bug/Steel types? If so, Amber's not going to have an easy time with her Rock types.
@LuckyBlackCat That kind of build wouldn't be right without a Forretress. That being said, the fact that they don't have a scizor means steel type offense is unlikely.
@Heckno12 Still going to be a challenge. Then again, I don't think Amber would rely too much on type advantage, as she'd expect gym leaders to have ways around it. She'd find the Bug gym leader's fighting style really interesting.
@Iatos Woah dude, pull it back just a bit. By that, I mean a lot. Like seriously I get it that your character is supposed to be a badass or whatever but that was much too far.
Uh... @Iatos, I think I'm going to have to ask you to redo that post. We're supposed to be battling the grunts' Pokemon, because even if you fight the grunts themselves, the Pokemon will still go after us... they'll protect their trainers, after all. So maybe focus on what happens with Dusty and the Magnemite?
