Natasha
@RexPrim cautiously accepted the Rapture pill and then went back to staring wide eyed out the port window. Natasha simply pocketed hers as she climbed back up towards him.
“These are you robot pills aren’t they?” Natasha remembered Drake explaining them at some point; tiny robots running through a person’s body and making repairs. “Faries and metal don’t exactly mix, I’ll be fine.”
They had broken through the planet’s atmosphere and the battle was laid out before then to a backdrop of stars and the worlds moon rose slowly to their left. One of the enemy’s ships sprinted by shortly followed by a squadron baring the Empires insignia. The cockpit suddenly felt very cut off from the rest of the world and deathly silent apart from the low hum of the engines.
Natasha settled her gaze upon the wounded satellite as she mulled over Drakes words. Finally, she sighed and her shoulders slumped. Her stomach squirmed restlessly.
“Drake I…I can…but…well it.” A frustrated growl escaped her. She glanced back to see Prim looking up at them.
Natasha chewed her lip as she thought more. She was worried, worried about Drakes reasons and what he was planning to do. She didn’t like what he was asking for her, but his offer for Anything was just so tempting.
After another minute, she finally answered.
“I can’t just take her memories without her permission Drake. Magic like that, my magic, needs the person to let those memories go. What you’re asking for is a Curse which I…I suppose I could do if this is really something that you want. But there’s a few things you need to know first. All Curses can Break and are made to be Broken one way or another it’s just matter of how you want it to. Shattering is another way but…it’s very rare for it to work. And…”
Natasha kept her eyes locked upon the battered station above them. She respected Drake, and felt he at least deserved to know what he would be doing to his friend.
“And she won’t be Human, Drake. She’ll look, feel, act human and everything but scientists in my world noticed that those were cursed had
something change in their DN-something or other. Lastly Drake the Curse will be alive.”
Natasha turned her head as much as she could between the head rest and the window to look at him in the eyes. Her gaze was piercing, filled with pain and hatred.
“IT will be alive. It will decide how her memories of you are affected. IT will decide how to punish her for trying to remember you and Drake neither you nor I will have any say in that matter.”
Natasha let her words hang for a moment, letting them sink in.
“I know what it’s like to…not be able to go home.” Her voice was quiet where it had been hard just a moment before. “Moment I set foot back home I will be hunted.”
She left it at that.
James
@Kalzky@ShadowVentus@Rockin StringsJames returned to tapping away at the screen as he investigated the stations layout. He scowled at the red Xs appearing on some of them.
“Nope.” He replied with a voice a touch too joyful to be carefree. “Sorry Taka, long time no see by the way, but it’s just you, me, and the newbies on this mission. A mission in the cold and deadly embrace of space all around us. Oh, and there’s Blair too around here somewhere I think.”
James had only glanced at Max as he listed off the team, but then he snapped his gaze back towards the man in the giant Mech. His eyebrows rose almost to meet his blue hair at the sight.
An Elf. In a giant Mech. Now he’d seen everything.
A hollow ‘boom’ from somewhere dislodge him from his state of disbelief. Suddenly, for an instant, there was the sound of air rushing past them before it was just as suddenly cut off. James swore under his breath as another red X appeared on the map.
“I might have done more damage to this station than I thought, or they’re trying to slowly suffocate us. Take your pick Kids.” He scrolled the screen up towards the top. “Name’s James you two welcome aboard and all but we’re pressed for time here. We need to get all the way up here; to the top where the command centre is and disable this Station. Hopefully before we’re caught and killed, or the station explodes around us into deadly space.”
“On top of that, there’s probably hundreds of deadly robots and heartless, thirsty for our flesh, right outside those doors.” James jabbed a finger to the locked doors before them. He was no longer trying to hide his panic. He clapped his hands together. “So, ideas anyone?”
