Her birth mother did not want her; Kelsey was put up for adoption immediately. She spent two weeks in the hospital after her birth before Helena Hartford strolled along, looking to adopt a child. The woman, 28 at the time, had no intention of marrying or carrying a child, and found that adoption would be her best bet. She adopted Kelsey, bringing the baby into her own home as if she were her own.

Kelsey can’t remember when she found out she was adopted, but it was never an issue. Her relationship with Helena Hartford was as strong as any biological relationship. They had their disagreements here and there, particularly throughout middle school, but it was never anything serious.

When Kelsey was 6, she came home from school to discover that her mother had adopted another daughter, Kristina. She didn’t ask any questions, only accepted her new sister whole-heartedly. The two grew to be quite close as they grew up, becoming virtually inseparable. Their mother pampered them, but was also sure to make sure they were raised well, having them do their own chores and working for their allowance despite her exorbitant wealth. Eventually, Kelsey did learn the truth about Kristina’s life, but it did nothing to change her perceptions of her mother or of Kristina.

The calmer, quieter Hartford, but by no means a pushover. Kris can more than take care of herself, but is smart enough to know when to pick a fight and when to let something go. It’s a lesson Kelsey hasn’t yet learned, so Kris usually finds herself pulling Kelsey away from people before she rips their eyes out. She likes to see the good in life, particularly when Kelsey is fishing for the bad. She always wants to find a better way to handle problems, or a better reason as to why a problem occurs.

Most people only know Kris as the “other Hartford girl” at first, but once they spend a little time getting to know her, they realize she’s just as interesting as Kelsey, and is just as much of her own person. Kris’ social life suffers from being attached to Kelsey all the time, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. She could have her own cliques and her own circle of friends independent of Kelsey’s, but Kris is more than happy being overshadowed by her sister as long as it keeps them together.

The one thing she hates most is when people make assumptions about her life. She’s a black girl adopted by a rich white woman, and for some reason, people think that means that Kris has it easy and doesn’t know what it’s like to be struggling. Given that that assumption is completely untrue, it’s the only thing that can really piss Kris off.

She was born Olivia Thompson, to a single, jobless mother living alone in lower-class Detroit, Michigan, with no siblings. They struggled to survive, begging on the streets while her mother fought for hours at the local grocery store. It was difficult, and Olivia hated every minute of it.

When Olivia was five, her mother was arrested on charges of drug abuse and possession. She was taken by child services and moved from foster home to foster home, once again hating everything about it.

Fortunately, one of the foster homes Olivia was at was close to Helena Hartford. Helena offered to adopt the girl and take her into her own home, if Olivia took a liking to Helena. After about a month of Helena visiting the foster home and getting to know Olivia, the two agreed that Olivia should go home with Helena and meet Kelsey. They also agreed that Olivia would change her name completely, in an attempt for the girl to move on past her childhood and try to restart her life.

At first, Kristina, as she chose to be known, was nervous in her new home. Her new sister, Kelsey, was friendly towards her, and after a while, Kristina warmed up as well. The two got along perfectly, and now, they’re completely inseparable.

Born in the city of LA, Born to an 17 year old homeless girl named Maria. For the first two years of his life, Francisco and his mother barely got by, not even out of high school Maria had to work two jobs. Abandoned by her parents and the father of her child soon proved impossible for her. When Francisco was two, his mother abandoned him with her cousin. up until the age of 13 Francisco bounced around family member to family member. Considering many of them were poor with families of their own, he was resent for taking up money otherwise put towards more useful things. There were few he stayed with for more then nine months. At the age of 13 Francisco met a couple that would change his life for ever. At the time Francisco was staying with his mothers cousin named Diego. it was during this time Francisco began to become cynical spiteful at the world. Diego was an alcoholic womanizer, he constantly belittled and abused him, both physically and verbally. Diego often went out early in the afternoon to drink, locking the door. Francisco would come home from school to find a locked house sit on the front steps until Diego returned later that night. Once during one of Diego's outings A nice couple were out for a early night walk.
Jacob and Sara noticed a poor child sitting without a coat on a winter night sitting on the front steps of a darkened house. Sara knew something was wrong and went over to Francisco, After a brief conversation the couple offered to stay with the child for a while. Francisco thanked them but said no it was alright, that his Dad would be home soon. pretending to walk away the couple watched from farther down the street until 9:30 pm. Finally Sara walked back over to the boy and told him to come with them. After a brief visit to the police station and a warm dinner at a near by dinner, The couple began to get to know Francisco. Francisco believed the world was a cold and unforgiving place. He hated the world and lost all hope of anything. He didn't care about school,friends,the future or even if he lived past the next day. Francisco's life changed quickly. Francisco was placed in foster care. For a year he stayed with a near by foster family, for the whole time The Williams family made numerous visits. Sara was shocked by what Francisco had said,determined to help the boy Sara set up therapy sessions. for the whole year the two saw each other twice a week, and slowly the two become close. At first Francisco refuse to cooperate, often sending the entire time in silence. Sara regardless of how Francisco acted was always there for Francisco.Sara would take Francisco out for lunch some times, gave him her personal number and even introduced him to her husband Jacob when ever Jacob came to the office. soon Francisco's defiant attitude turned into one of respect and affection. They started to talk about things Francisco even told Sara about how he had wanted to be a doctor, at least before he had made the mistake of telling Diego. out of sessions Sara took Francisco out to movies, the zoo and even to the toy store. Sara soon became attached to Francisco, After hearing that he never had a stuffed animal as a baby she went out and bought him a stuffed wolf toy. While Francisco was 13 going on 14, he still treasured the animal and has kept it till this day. slowly she introduced Francisco to her family. after six months they began the paper work for adoption. Francisco became part of their family three weeks before high school began the family moved to south Dakota.

The house has five bedrooms, so each boy get's their own, while a guest room is reserved for visiting relatives and another is used as a game room. Caleb has always been the second twin. Sure, he may have been born first, but when people introduce them, they're "Jacob and Caleb," not "Caleb and Jacob." From their toddler years, it was like this. Caleb never took to sports like his brother, and it was clear that he wasn't going to. Their little league team was a bit of a disaster thanks to Caleb constantly throwing a fit every time he had to play. The younger Caleb took more to academic pursuits. He adored reading, and writing, and his teacher's always praised him as a great student.

As the twins grew, their differences became more pronounced, although they're still incredibly close. But while Jacob is a star soccer player, Caleb is an artist. While Jacob is the most popular boy in their class and has had three girlfriends already (although Caleb doesn't really count the first two) Caleb hasn't even had his first kiss. All Caleb wants to do this year, is survive, and get straight A's. He really wants straight A's.

While the two have very different bodies and faces, their eyes are the same intense blue, and their hair is the same dark blonde color, although while Caleb's hair is shaggy and hangs in his face, Jake's hair is kept spiked up. And while Caleb dresses in dark reserved clothing, Jake dresses in bright colors and button up shirts and khaki shorts that make him look like your typical spoiled white boy.

Jacob McKinnon may have been the last twin to enter the world, but he was always the first one, at least in their father's eyes. While Caleb preferred books, Jake wanted to run around outside, and play pass with their dad. As soon as he was old enough to join, Jake played every sport there was, constantly on the move. He really took a love to soccer though, and it's that that he hopes to continue with, on into college.

As he and his brother grew older, Jake became Caleb's protector, despite the fact that Caleb is older and slightly taller. Jake always held more weight socially, and he used that to keep his brother from falling under any torment, and he sees it as his duty in a way, to keep Caleb out of trouble. All he wants out of freshman year is to make JV, and pass his classes. Oh, and maybe meet some cute girls. Without his girlfriend's knowledge preferably.

Lily is clearly a very pretty girl, no one can deny that. Her hair is long and golden blonde, while her eyes are a dark chocolate brown. When she smiles, her entire face smiles with her, which gives it a sort of contagious feel. The Westburg house is exactly what you'd expect the home of the mayor to look like. It's much too big for just Lily and her mom, but that's what happens when your family comes from old money. You end up with two people living in a six bedroom home. The home has marble floors, and pillars that grace the front porch of the home, and the front garden is a masterpiece maintained by some of the most exquisite gardeners in the area. The interior is decorated with expensive furniture and marble tile, and has an air of old money that intimidates most everyone who comes through the door.

|| BIOGRAPHY ||

The Westburgs have always been hot shit in Arrowsmith. They helped found the town, God knows how many years ago, and so they've always been a family with an overstuffed bank account. Lily's father even took on the Westburg name when he married her. Their's was a torrid love affair, one that shook the whole town, as Lily's father left his own wife for Marissa. Some say it was only for the money, but her mother assures Lily that they did love each other.

Shortly after Lily was born, before she could walk even, Kyle Westburg was killed in a car accident, and Lily's family was shaken to the core. Lily's older sister began to rebel as she grew up, and her relationship with their mother was always rather tense, causing her to move out of the house as soon as she turned eighteen, two years ago. While the sisters have kept in touch, Hayley and Marissa rarely speak. As Lily got older she became rather popular, and she even found her first kiss and boyfriend in Jacob McKinnon, whom she cares for very deeply. This year, she'd like to bring her family back together, as well as make it onto the homecoming court.
