Trick pressed his fingertips together as he listened. He grinned, raising his eyebrows. "Exactly," he said. "Nothing is impossible if you want it bad enough." He hopped to his feet and walked past her, towards a workbench that some metal cube and a bunch of tools. He dug through a drawer before pulling out a simple silver band. "But why take a pill when you could have something that could be turned off and on?" He asked, rhetorically. "Hold out you wrist."

Helena's jaw dropped. No way did he already have one. "A-are you serious?" Helena asked and held out her wrist for the silver bracelet. She couldn't believe that Trick had exactly what she was thinking of. It was unreal how many gadgets he had. How many of them did he actually use? She would say not all since there were so many and it seemed he only had one belt. Then again, he probably invented some sort of hyper cube that could hold anything, sort of like on a show she watched as a kid.

Trick gave a little crooked smile at her. "I had originally designed this for a...client, but they never picked it up," he explained, gently clipping the bracelet around her wrist. "But, forewarning, if I find out that you're doing anything 'immoral' with my gadget then I can, and will, deactivate this and find you." The short, ginger sounded so nonchalant about it that he seemed like he was almost joking. Which he wasn't. "Now, what you need to do to turn it on is simply pinch the bracelet where the rough patches are," he told her, taking her free hand to show her where the patches were. "Then to turn it off, do the same thing."

"I promise to only use it for good," Helena swore as he clipped it on. She allowed his hand to guide hers to the rough patches. "Is there anything I should know beforehand? Does it have a time limit? Do I still cast a shadow?" She wanted to be sure she knew about the gadget before using it in a dangerous situation, especially if lives were at stake.

Trick had to think on her questions for a moment. He left her side then walked over to his chair and sat down. "It does not have a time limit, and it does not cast a shadow, the bracelet will bend the light that would project on you to hide your shadow," he explained, tapping a finger on her chin. "But be careful with anything electrical for you shall be more prone to electrocution do to the nanobots that will hide you as well as strong magnets. Other than that I think that's it."

"Oh okay, thank you for telling me," Helena said, still surprised they trusted her so much already, "And thank you for helping me." She could smell her bread from the brown paper bag and her stomach rumbled. "Uh, would you kind if I are it in here? I haven't eaten in a while and I've only had a couple bites." If they didn't want her to eat in Lacy's home, she wouldn't. Heck, maybe they had another test for her, but she wasn't sure.

((I believe they're in Ace's workshop, not Lacy's home, lol. And I don't remember if Ace ever told Helena his name so I'm just going to assume no.))

"You're welcome," Trick said, grinning at her. "I like helping people." He glanced around his workshop real quickly, looking for something. "I don't mind if you eat," he murmured, standing up once more. "I'll be right back." He walked off to another room to change and came back, a few minutes later, in regular clothing. He was wearing his usual green sweater, black pants that were tucked into his prosthetics, and his owl-like glasses. "By the way," Ace exclaimed. "You can call me Ace." Now, if anyone read scientific magazines or news articles, then they might've recognized him as a kid genius with multiple degrees and a brilliance with machinery. But, this would only count if you've seen his face, because in most articles he had forced to use his birth name and gender, the genius girl named Alice. There had been a few though, that he had gotten away with being himself, but not many.

While Trick went out of the room, Helena began to eat again, careful to not leave any trace of crumbs anywhere. Looking around, his gadgets were incredible. She wasn't able to tell what each did, but they sure did look cool. He came back wearing regular clothing. There was a certain femininity about him, but she wasn't ride enough to point it out, ex-villain or not. "Ace,. Helena murmured, repeating the name to herself as to not forget. "Is there anything you need me to do for you?" she asked, "You've given me so much trust... I feel like I'm in debt to you."

Ace pursed his lips in thought. "Not that I can think of," he responded. "A lot of my work is mostly stuff I know how to do, unless you can program or are good with mechanics." He chuckled, hazel eyes flickering around the room. A lot of the gadgets were what he called 'distractions' since they were things to keep himself from thinking. But, there were also a lot that he meant to build. "I normally work alone so I wouldn't know what to give you even if I had something," he muttered. The ginger blew his bangs away from his face as he walked over to a desk to pick up a slim black disk.

"You work alone when it comes to your gadgets, but doesn't Viper help out with hero work?" Helena asked, taking another bite of food. She didn't want to ask too pressing questions, knowing they could take away their trust in her any second and report her to the police. She glanced at her watch and was surprised by the time. "Oh! I really need to go, my shift is starting soon," Helena said, putting her food back in the bread, "I'll see you around?"

****LATER THAT NIGHT****

Hydrotic pointed both of his hands at a yellow fire hydrant. Within seconds, the water pressure built up and popped the hydrant into the air, landing near a group of people. They screamed and ran into the streets, causing cars to slam on their breaks.

"You know," The disgruntled voice of a well-known hero spoke above Hydrotic's head. "You villain guys really push my buttons. Is it really too much to ask for one relaxing day off?" Trick in green and gray suit, red goggles glinting, with his trademark crooked smile. The ginger landed on the ground and flicked his wrist so that a spread of cards appearing between his fingers. "Pick a card, any card," he chuckled cockily.
Viper seemingly appeared near the panicking people to help calm the people and hopefully direct the cars away from hitting someone. She was annoyed that Trick was messing around but there was nothing she could about it at the moment.

Helena was walking around town, trying to keep her mind off of any struggles, not wanting to go back to stealing. She heard screaming and the sound of water from a couple streets down. Quickly, she went into an alley, changed into her costume, and raced to the street. She found both Trick and Viper at the scene. Hydrotic was spewing water from a broken hydrant.

Hydrotic looked at the cards in Trick's hands and shouted, "This one!" The water from the hydrant changed directions and went straight for him.

Agent shot her grappling hook for Hydrotic, hoping to catch him off guard. What have her away, however, was citizens yelling, "Oh no, it's Agent!" She barely had time to dodge a second stream of water heading for her.

Trick scoffed, rolling his eyes. His joking mode quickly turned to irritation at the villain. "Bad move, dimwit," he grumbled, shooting up into the air to avoid the stream of water. He quickly dropped a poker chip onto the ground. The top of the black chip blinked before exploding to release thick white smoke into the surrounding air. The young hero dropped back down to the ground, but before he could make his move, Viper sprung into action. The snake woman had taken a break from her citizen regulation when the smoke went up, bounding into the cloud. She made quick work to tackle Hydrotic to the ground in an attempt to restrain him.

Hydrotic fell to the ground when Lacy tackled him. The smoke didn't throw him off. He know water pipes ran everywhere. He focused on the water pipes under ground and forced them to break. The water pressurized, and gysered into the air, sending both of them up in a spout of water.

Cars swerved out of the way to avoid the water, but the crowds of citizens were still running. Someone was in the path of the car and Agent sprung into action. She raced and dived into the person, rolling with them on the inside Of her body to protect them from the concrete. She popped up and brushed herself off. "Are you okay?" she asked.

"Y-yes, but aren't you the bad guy?" the teenage make asked, voice shaking a bit. People in the crowd nodded as if wondering the same thing.

"I used to," Agent chuckled and turned back to the scene.

Viper could hear the sudden sound of rushing water underneath them but she didn't have time to react. She closed her eyes to brace for impact, closing her eyes and letting her muscles relax a little in order to not hurt herself. She felt herself lift into the air, her suit becoming drenched. "You mother*cker," she hissed at Hydrotic, sharp fangs bared. She attempted to grab at the villain while still in the air.
Trick groaned when he heard the pipes breaks and sputter water onto the road. He jumped out of the way, glancing around the cloud of smoke. He saw a child, separated from his mother, crying in the middle of the street. Quick to act, he flew over and scooped the child into his arms then up into the sky to avoid a gyser.

Hydrotic saw Viper reach out for them as they began to fall down. Her hands got a good grip on him, so he brought the water in a ball, holding them in mid-air. It was like they were in a fishbowl. Though caught in her arms, Hydrotic attempted to pinch Viper.

Agent wasn't sure how to tackle a water villain, except by keeping the citizens safe. Using electricity with the water could work if Viper wasn't in harm's way. Agent quickly made her way to Trick. "Trick!" she called, catching his attention, "We need to get that water ball electrified! But we need to get Viper out of there first!" She wasn't sure if Viper could survive the electricity. Actually she wasn't sure if Hydrotic would survive it either, but it was worth a shot, right?

Trick landed on the ground, letting the kid go so that he could run to his mother. Then he turned his attention to the water ball so Agent spoke. He mumbled under his breath unintelligible words as his mind ran a mile a minute. Quickly, he reached into one of his many pouches on his belt to pull out a small blue poker chip. "Good idea. I'm going to pull Viper out, you throw this into the ball as soon as I do," he instructed, handing her the chip before shooting back into the air. He flew up to where Viper had her back to him, then he reached in and yanked her out.
Viper was in the middle of hissing at Hydrotic when he attempted to pinch before she felt familiar hands around her waist. She released the villain so that Trick could drag her out of the water. Sadly though, Trick wasn't very strong so they just flew to the ground. It was a soft landing, however, better than if she had been dropped.

Agent nodded, taking the chip in her hands. She watched Trick dive into the ball, making sure nothing was connected to the ball. If anything was, it could conduct the electricity to civilians. As Viper was pulled out, Agent three the chip into the ball, not seeing any dangers. As soon as it touched the water, the electric current ran.

Hydrotic never saw the chip, as he was too busy trying to find a way to get back to Viper. Once the electricity hit him, his muscles tensed and cramped up. Quickly, the ball of water wobbled and the form splashed down to the ground, Hydrotic paralyzed in the center.

Viper took deep breaths as soon as she was out of the water. She was able to hold her breath for a long time but that didn't mean she didn't need oxygen. "Thanks, sweetpea," she said, looking up at Trick whom just scoffed, rolling his eyes. He didn't say anything in response as he shook the water off his hair and arms. Then he walked over to Hydrotic to put power-restraining cuffs on the villain.
There was a gust of wind that rolled over Viper that came from the incoming cop cars, making her shiver. She was suddenly cold, finding that the water had sapped some of her warmth. And like a snake, she needed to be under some source of heat to regain that warmth. Viper ringed out her long, dark curls before she walked over to Agent.

Agent kept citizens away from the possibly electrified water, just in case. Many people were afraid of her and listened our of fear of being another victim. "I guess power does come in fear," she muttered to herself, directing citizens away from the water. She then heard familiar heels clicking towards her direction. "How are you feeling?" Agent asked Viper, seeing how drenched the woman was.
