........ What happened?

did you come out of the closet?

No, entropy is the gradual deterioration of something. It requires time to function, and does not interfere with the progress of time in any way. Time functions independently of all other factors besides perhaps mass. Also, in fact, lava is turned to stone not by water, but by cold, and normal water would instead evaporate in it's mere presence.

Long story short, I had SE first period, which is the class with our guidance teacher, and because we're going into 3rd year, and we've done the whole course choice thing and stuff, we were talking about careers, and how certain groups of people are at a disadvantage through no fault of their own, and halfway through the period we started doing this thing, where on the tables there were statements, and we had to write on a sticky note (in groups) what they thought of it. The boys were being really sexist on one of them. One of the statements was "homosexual males shouldn't be allowed to work with children" and they all agreed (they also said that boys can't be nurses, they HAVE to be doctors). My and my friend started arguing with them (keep in mind that a LOT of the people I'm friends with aren't straight, so some of the stuff they were saying really annoyed me), and it got to the stage where me and my friends were pretty much shouting at them. Eventually our teacher told us to sit down so we could discuss it.Their arguments were stupid and didn't make sense, like, according to them, "gay men shouldn't work with children because they might fall in love with them and rape them (pretty much the exact words)" and I was like "That's paedophilia, not homosexuality! They are NOTHING alike!" and none of their arguments made sense and it just annoyed me so much some of the stuff they were saying. One of them went back to the whole Adam and Eve excuse, and I was like "You don't believe in God, you cannot use the bible as an excuse" and by the end of the lesson it was the teacher trying to talk to them, and them giving arguments that made no sense, and I was just sitting with my head on the desk because I was so annoyed at them, I couldn't even look at them.At the end, me and a couple friends sort of stayed back a bit (we had music next and the music teachers are really nice, so it wouldn't matter if we were a bit late) and the teacher was saying she was really surprised at how homophobic they were, and she thought that because we were younger, we would be more acceptingAnd please don't say "don't get annoyed at them, try and see it from their point of view" etc. because I physically can't, because what they're saying makes no sense whatsoeverRant over

Not quite.....

Damn. I wasn't going to say anything of the sort. Their point of view is stupid and silly, and you should try and AVOID those points of views. What you're dealing with their is a belief based on faith, at which point their arguments will make no sense. At which point, you can never win a discussion like that.

They're sexist, homophobic, racist, and just plain ignorant.Re-reading that, it does't sound as bad, but I got really annoyed. But the good thing, is that we can choose to leave school at the end of 4th year, and judging by the type of people they are, a lot of them are probably gonna leave ASAP, meaning I'll never have to see them again. And I'm not going to be in a lot of their classes in 3rd year......

That's lucky for you. Hopefully they'll be able to revisit their views later in life. My advise is to speak to them 1-on-1 instead of in groups. Groups promote irrational views in individual members, and the spirit of the group can drive one to greater extremes than individual minds will allow.

Oh, and, I remember a few months ago one of the boys said that he's against gays because, and I quote, "he doesn't want boys liking him"Like, dude, no. I can think of plenty of girls that would not want you liking them, but it's not their fault you're straightAnd this same guy has a twin brotherWe're all pretty sure his brother's gay. That's where it gets complicatedAnd apparently he said that if he brother is gay, he's going to disown him and never talk to him for the rest of his life. Tbh it seems like something he would do.
Spiritstallion1 said
I would rather just not talk to them. And it's nearly impossible to speak to them individually. I mean, the ones who aren't too bad would be easy to speak to, but the others.....yeah it would be literally impossible :P

Matter can AFFECT time, as can be seen during, for example, space travel. However, it does not counteract time. That's like saying that time is the opposite of ice, because ice can be affected by time. And ice is simply another form of water. And it's not an opposite, as it can't cancel lava out. Instead, you're using a force that can affect lava, and then attempting to create a temperature so low it'll freeze the lava. However, time is required for this change to take effect. If you want to instantly freeze lava, that will take a lot more energy than counteracting it or creating it would, meaning you would rapidly tire yourself out.If you want to expand this, name the opposite of stone, wood, or electricity. What's the opposite of diamond, or psychic energy. The opposite of love, There are tons of things which have no specific opposites, i can name a stack more.

Either that means he's uncontrollably extreme in his views, or he's bluffing. I have two brothers, and I wouldn't disown them for ANYTHING. I don't even know if that's legally possible.
