Jake stares, as the city begins burning down. A child is hit, and burns to death, as death and destruction spread throughout the area. "Well, there goes my house. Good God." After another moment of staring, Jake holds out a hand, and fireproof combat armor appears on him, as he portals to Ven's location. "Oi! Turn off the firethrower! You're under arrest for vandalism, murder, infanticide, and harboring a criminal. Also, you BURNT DOWN MY HOUSE!"

"I'm afraid that now that she's killed, let me see...." Jake pulls out a pdf, watching the reports of the firestorm that had sponatneously started consuming the city. "Well, there are over fifty confirmed dead, and many more missing or heavily injured. I think this is a problem."

"Don't worry, justice isn't hard on mages. I'm just here to prevent this from continueing." Jake sighs, as he looks over at Mary. "You might find yourself forced into an institute if it comes out that you're responsible for this, and I'm not entirely sure I'm opposed to the thought."

Jake smiles, as he sits down and sighs. "Well then, it appears we've reached a conclusion. And I have no doubt the government will assign me to watch you two. Screw my luck." Jake seems to add the last part jokingly, although noone will ever be sure.
