[IC] Pokémon Battle Frontier

Mike finally reunited with the group when he saw them land in the indigo Plateau, Sashia introduced Mike to Chuck and told him Mike would be in the tournament as well and then he was an ex-champion in both Sinnoh and Unova but he had giving up the title to other people because he preferred to travel.
Mike had signed up earlier, and was now just training for the next two weeks so he could get stuff done, Sashia signed up and return to her own training with both Dany and the rest of her team, she had brought back mermaid for Zerina and now she was carrying out her strategies to deal with Liam and Shiranui Pokémon.

Shiranui registered for the Grand Festival and after admiring the view from the spectator box he was assigned to, he went to work on his appeal and train for whoever was successful enough to challenge him for the championship.

Liam saw four well known Coordinators: May, Drew, Harley, and Soladad. Liam knew that this Festival would be tough, especially since he saw all of them at Hoenn's Grand Festival. The two weeks eventually elapsed, and it was time for the Festival to begin.
"Hello one and all! Welcome to Kanto's Grand Festival! I'm your hostess, Lillian Mirrdian!" Lillian annouced over the loud speaker. There was a ton of applause. When it ended, she continued. "To qualify for this competion, each of these two-hundred fifty coordinators had to obtain five ribbons. Now, allow me to introduce our judges during this week-long event!" Lillian continued. After another wave of applause. "First, the head of the Pokémon Contest Committe,Mr. Raoul Contesta!!" The crowd cheered loudly.

"Welcome everyone! All of these coordinators have worked hard to get here today, so let's give them all attention. And, to the all the coordinators, break a leg." The crowd cheered.

"Next, the head of the Pokémon Fan Club,Mr. Sukizo!" The crowd cheered again.
"Indiago Plateau is remarkable!" The crowd cheered again. While Liam was watching feed, he notied that some people in the audicne were wearing shirts with Sukizo's likeness on it with his catchprhase above his head. Lillian continued.
"We also have not one, but two Nurse Joys! FromIndiago Plataeu and Pewter City!" The crowd cheered.

"It is great to be here for all of these people, and this event."
"Let's all have fun this weekm ok?" The comments from each of the Joys recived applause.
"Without furthur ado, let's begin!" The first named coordinator was May. Defintely a fan favorite, she was met with huge appluase.
"Glaceon! Take the stage!" Glaceon emerged from its ball. Glaceon made a huge pillar of ice, and proceded to sculpt it with ice. The ice was formed into a sculpture of the four judges and Lillian. The crowd cheered for the sculpture, espically since it was so well made and so quickly.

"Your Glaceon has a mastery over its Ice powers, and you have done a good job rasing it."
"Glaceon is remarkable!"
"Your Glaceon's coat is very shiny."
"I can tell that you and your Glaceon have a very strong bond."
Each of the judges' commentes were met with appluase.

Drew was next. He used Butterfree. Butterfree's appeal involved the use of Sleep Powder and Silver Wind, ending with Confusion.

Liam was coordinator #11. He used Hydro the Blastoise. Hydro Mega Evolved and fired off the various moves improved by Wonder Laucncher and were all hit with Flash Cannon, making a firework of an explosion.

"Blastoise is Remarkable!"
"This is a fantastic display of your Blastoise's power."
"With such a handle on Mega Evolution, you and your Blastoise clearly have a strong bond."

Harley followed Liam in the appeals order and he used Cacturne for the appeals, juggling some Razor Leaves and finishing the appeal by punching them with Needle Arm.

"You've shown time and time again how strong your bond with your Cacturne is."

Soledad was Coordinator #64 and she used Lapras for her appeal, showing off a Sheer Cold. The field was covered in ice that was colder than a Regice and the surrounding air was condensing near it, forming a mist. The sunlight glistened off the ice.

"Brrr, that's one cold and spectacular appeal."
"Lapras is remarkable!"
"Your Lapras is very well-trained to be able to use Sheer Cold like that."
"I love the sheen on your Lapras!"

Shiranui was Coordinator #100 and he made his entrance clad in a black top hat and cape. He used Majin the legendary Hoopa for his appeal, first showing off its Hyperspace Hole using the top hat as a prop in a classic magic trick involving pulling various objects out from the top hat with the last one being a wild Buneary. He produced the Prison Bottle from under his cape and invoked its power, transforming Majin to its Unbound Form and capped off his appeal with Majin showing off its Hyperspace Fury. Six disembodied arms flew in and out of six wormholes that appeared up above, striking an imaginary target in the middle.

"A truly magical appeal."
"Hoopa is remarkable!"
"It must have taken a lot of training to get that appeal down pat."
"You trained your Hoopa well."

Back in the spectator box, Shiranui thanked Buneary for its part in Majin's appeal and asked whether it wanted to go back to whence it was pulled from. To his surprise, Buneary wanted to join his team and thus Shiranui gained a new friend, naming the Buneary Mimi. He was curious as to why and with a little psychic help from Titania, found out that Mimi was being chased by a Gastly until she was pulled through a wormhole.

Chuck applauded the appeals and then was surprised by a tap on the shoulder. He turned around to find his parents standing in the seats behind him. "Mom! Dad! What are you doing here!?" he asked, surprised. "Well, we heard our boy would be entering the Pokémon League tournament, so we decided to stop by and cheer you on." his mother said. "But your mother also wanted to see the Grand Festival, so we got here early!" his father added, with a chuckle. Ever since the battle with Team Flare at the daycare, his father had been needing a cane to help him walk, his right leg having been damaged badly.

Watching her foes do their appeals, Sashia chuckled softly as she tapped the pokeball she had on her, it had been a while since the two of them had done contests together but Sashia knew she was the best to rely on when it came to this so as she heard her name she changed her outfit and made sure it was ready before she ran onto stage.

"And introducing the final contestant, Sashia Fertar" MC said as Sashia smiled and sent out Elsa as her outfit changed to a icey blue Ninetails look though if Zero was nearby he would notice something different about Elsa, as no hailstorm began as with what normal happens when Elsa is sent out. "Arighty, Use strategy Icey Blaze" Sashia yelled as Elsa began to run around fire off ice beams over the stage and breaking a few to cause icey dust to appear as she jump into one and when she came out she was a normal ninetail who began firing flamethrowers as Sashia dress changed into Ninetails dress with a glowing flame around it before the ninetails then spilt into both a normal Ninetails and Alohan Ninetails as they both began to fire their elemental moves against each others moves making a beautiful and sparking diamond appear in the middle which then split into minor ones before the two Ninetails jumped and starting attacking the diamonds around the stage making more sparkling dust which was then sent away to reviling a female Zoroark wearing a hula skirt and a flower crown dancing in the middle on a perfect replica of the Alohan regions island, Sashia Dress had now been reviled as Zoroark based dressed as she danced as well.

The crowd who were mesmerised by the performance were shocked as the revile before they cheered for them, as Sashia smiled and her Zoroak bowed to the crowd.

"That was amazing, Truly one of the best illusion I have witness"
"That was truly Remarkable, Remarkable Pokémon, Remarkable Illusion and Remarkable training"
"You and your Zoroark have clearly been training for a long time together to make that performance, Especially with that replica of the Alohan region"

Sashia score ended up being a Perfect 30 and when she returned to her friends, she Introduced her Zoroark as Illusion, her first pokemon she ever caught in the Alohan Region, She had swapped out one of her Pokémon for her since she already had 6 pokemon in the first place.

"That was very good." Liam complamented. "Zoroarks can be very difficult to deal with when they oppose you in battle.

After all 250 coordinators preformed the top 164 were named. At the end of the thrid day, those 164 had been dwindled down to eight. Those eight were placed as follows for the begining of day four.

Harley sneered to himself at the prospect of being put against May next. He knew that with how May sleeps, he could easily sneak into her room and sabotage her, but he'd have to be careful since her little brother was with her to watch to the festival. During the night, Harley got up and picked the lock on May's room. He set her clock back a few hours and quietly exited her room, locking it back behind him. He snuck back into his room snickering at his clever trick to disqualify May.
The next day, Harley's dirty trick was undermined by a random fluke. May and Max was woken by her Munchlax, who realized by how bright it was that they needed to get up. May had freaked and hurried to get dressed. (of note: May arrives to the green room during Shiranui and Soladad's battle)

Chuck was amazed by all the appeals and battles of the first day, and had spent time with his parents after it was all done, catching them up on his adventure thus-far. The next day, he woke up and did more training with his Pokémon, this time against his parent's and their Pokémon, before the Festival resumed, then got a seat in the stands with his parents.

It was time for Shiranui's battle against Soledad. The battles in the Grand Festival were of the double battle format with the same winning conditions as the regular Pokémon Contests. Soledad sent out Lapras and Slowbro and Shiranui sent out his Blaziken and his shiny Aegislash. "Lapras, use Hydro Pump on Blaziken; Slowbro, Fire Blast on Aegislash!"
"Niwatori, make like a swordsman and use Aerial Ace on Lapras; Yoto, Sacred Sword! Mega Ring activate!" Niwatori the Blaziken let off a glow as he Mega Evolved into a Mega Blaziken before wielding Yoto like the two-handed sword he is, one talon-like hand gripping the handle and the other holding onto the sharp pommel. He then showed off his speed while Yoto changed to his Blade Forme and let off a cyan glow before Niwatori used the Aegislash he wielded to slash Lapras into a one-hit knockout. Slowbro breathed out an intense flame that formed into a daimonji shape, but Niwatori was too fast for the attack to have any effect. Shiranui still lost points, but Soledad lost more points and was down one Pokémon.
"Slowbro, Trick Room!"
"Niwatori, use Acrobatics on Slowbro; Yoto, fire a Shadow Ball at Slowbro!" Niwatori jumped high into the air and let go of Yoto before nimbly striking Slowbro for a lot of damage. Before Slowbro could recover from the Mega Blaziken's attack, it copped a Shadow Ball from above compliments of Yoto. The two-pronged attack did enough damage to knock Slowbro out and Shiranui advanced to the semi-final.

After the battle, Shiranui was pondering on how he would face Sashia's Pokémon should the computer pit him against her in the semis.

Chuck watched on, examining Shiranui's fighting style, and his Pokémon, just in case he ended up facing him in the Pokémon League. He knew the likeliness of him using those two Pokémon was slim, as well as the way he battled in contests was different from how he battled in regular battles, but he felt his research would pay off, especially after seeing him in the Battle Frontier as well.

Harley was furious when he saw May run into the green room panting with her little brother in tow.
May and Harley took their positons. Harley sent out Cacturne and Wigglytuff, while May sent out Blaziken and Glaceon. May had dazzling appeals mixing the powers of fire and ice, a combonaton left Cacturne's left side burning and his right side freezing. This manuver ate a huge chunk out of Harley's points, but Wigglytuff managed to use Sing and put May's Glaceon to sleep. Blaziken evaded it by burning the music not foating toward him with Flamethrower. Blaziken did a jumping Blaze Kick and KO'd Wigglytuff. Harley had only a sliver of his points left as the clock hit :59. By this time, Glaceon had woken up. Glaceon curled up into a ball and coated itself with Ice Beam. Blaziken used High Jump Kick and Blaze Kick to rocket the ball of Ice at Cacturne, KO'ing it with :01 left on the clock, allowing May to advance to the quarter finals.

Drew used Flygon and Roserade while Liam used Smaug and Goodra. Drew started off with Roserade using Ingrain and Flygon using Sandstorm. Liam was having none of it and had Smaug Mega evolve to replace the sand with Bright Sunlight. Goodra fired Sludge Bomb at Roserade, but Flygon deflected it with Iron Tail, making Liam lose a few points. Liam ordered Smaug to use Solarbeam on Flygon, which was weakened after going through Roserade's that was fired to stop it. Goodra used Flamethrower while Roserade was busy, dealing good damage. Liam and Drew kept at at a fairly even pace until the clock hit :30, at which point, Smaug was KO'd. The sunlight had faded by than, and it looked as though Drew had the upper hand. In an upset, Goodra evened things out by KO'ing Roserade with Flamethrower. The point drop put Liam back in the lead. The dragons then used Dragon Pulse in unison, but both attacks met in the middle and exploded. The timer finished before the dust settled. When it cleared, Flygon was KO'd and Liam advanced.

Sashia watched her friends battle and win as she looked though her team to best use to her advantage against Liam and Shiranui before she nodded to herself as she knew what she would do. She heard her name get called and after putting on both her Mega ring and Z-ring she smirked and moved on.

Her opponent was a woman called Daisy who sent out Blastose and a Walrin while Sashia sent out Daenerys and Illusion which by default was a strange choice since Illusion had already been reviled during the first round, Immediately using her type advantage, Daisy got both her water type to attack Daenerys both attacks hit but Daeny looked unaffected by it before the illusion faded and Both of the pokemon had vanished before suddenly Blastose was hit by a thunder punch from behind sending it flying forward while Walran was hit by a Night daze from the side sending it flying into it partner making a satisfying crash taking points from her opponent and then Sashia pokemon began to dance together which the two boys would remember as the dragon Salsa while Illusion was setting up Calm minds. By the time, Daisy Pokémon had regained their balance, Daeny and Illusion were standing at +3 for their stats. With that, the two went on the offensive and within a few second took out both of Daisy's Pokémon, meaning they would be taking on Liam in the next round.

"Begin!"
"Munchlax and Wartortle, Take the stage!" May's Pokémon emerged to cheers.
"Smaug and Jiriya! It's time to shine!" Liam called. The Charizard and Greninja emerged, also to cheers.
Lillian made commentary about how Wartortle has a type advantage over Liam's Charizard, but since both of Liam's Pokémon are fully evolved, neither one can be discounted.
"Warotrtle, withdraw into your shell! Munchlax, launch Wartortle toward the Charizard with Focus Punch!" May decided to start off strong. Wartortle ducked into its shell and began to spin in place while Munchlax prepped the attack. Munchlax than punched the spinning shell, propeling it toward the lizard.
"Night Slash!" Liam called. Jiriya lunged infont of Smaug and blocked the combo with a blade. May lost a few points as Wartortle was hurt by the impact. May then instructed Wartortle to use Iron Tail on Jiriya, who evaded with Agility. Munchlax used Metronome, and used Aglity as well. Smaug launched a flamethrower, but missed Munchlax because of its speed buff.
Munchlax was again ordered to use Focus Punch. Warturtle was told to use Water Gun. Wartortle propelled Munchlax forward. Munchlax hit Smaug square in the jaw, taking a good chunk of Liam's points.
"Alright Smaug, it's time to Mega Evolve!" Liam activated his mega ring and Smaug morphed into the Mega Y form. The Sunlight grew intense as Smaug then fired Solar Beam while Greninja used Gunk Shot. the moves were fired at Wartortle and Munchlax respectively. Munchlax used Metronome, and got Solar Beam himself. The attacks met and did a beam struggle like you'd see in a Shonun anime. Wartortle was hit by the Gunk Shot and became poisoned. May lost points from that and made it about even as the timer reached 1:00. Munchlax eventually lost the beam attack and took the power grass attack.
Munchlax used Metronme again, and Wartortle used Ice Beam. Metronome turned into Petal Dance as the blossoms were coated in ice. The combo hit Smaug. Jiriya used Water Shuriken, hitting Wartortle and triggering Torrent. Munchlax was confused from fatigue after Petal Dance finished. Smaug had been hit by a lot of attacks. Smaug next used Fire Blast, which KO'd Munchlax, and Jiriya used Power up Punchm which finished Wartortle. Liam advanced to the finals. May praised Wartortle and Munchlax on the good work.
"Now, let's all give a big round of appluase to May!" The crowd all stood and cheered for May, who is clearly a fan favorite to the Kanto Contest Circuit. May, alng with her Wartortle and Munchlax all bowed to the audience and went backstage.

Liam watched the battle closely, as he would face whichever of them won. Jangmo-o sat In the seat next to Liam, watching with excitement.

Sashia walked out to meet Shiranui holding her pokedex as she was checking a couple of stats and moves before she nodded and shut her pokedex as she smiled at him "Well, well Kanto champion lets see how you fight when you go all out". With that her dress changed into a black Charizard dress as she pulled out her two pokemon and sent them out Daenys ball open up to an explosion of fire and music as she danced before she took on her fighting pose while Illsion come out her pokeball with black smoke as she joined Daenys dance before taking her fighting pose at the same time.

"Boukun, Bakeru, it's show time!" Shiranui opened Boukun and Bakeru's Poké Balls and white and black smoke came of them respectively, forming contrasting colours and coalescing into his Tyrantrum and Mimikyu. Bakeru was standing on top of Boukun's head.

Sashia having already dealt with Mimikyu before, knew what to expect from that kind of pokemon taking into account that her first move on it would be tanked by the disguse so she nodded to herself and said "Alright, girls lets have some fun". With that, Illusion and Daenys locked hands and began to dance together keeping up pace with each other while paying attention to their surroundings as they began to build up their stats using dragon dance and calm mind respectively.

"Boukun, Head Smash; Bakeru, Psych Up! Aim your attacks at Daenerys!" Boukun started charging at the dancing pair with his head ready to deal a powerful blow that would exploit a double weakness. While Boukun was charging, Bakeru used a hypnotic suggestion to copy Daenerys Attack and Speed boosts.
