I'm thinking of removing the posting rule that I had seeing that we've been doing pretty well on it. As long as everyone is mindful of everyone else, I don't mind if some of you guys post more often than others.

This is a copy/paste announcement for my RP's.
Posts from me are going to be a little slower than I'd like for a little while. Without going into excessive detail, my job involves waking up, breakfast, walking out my front door and immediately starting work, coming back at sun down (which, with the lengthening days, comes in at around 8pm-9pm) and then trying to do all my at home 'life' stuff, like cooking, cleaning, sleeping, etc, before doing it all again the next day, with my only day off being Sunday.
Due to crap with my work involving my boss ( Fun fact: I am not my own boss in this job) rushing a job through without making sure all was right and well, my workload has increased significantly. Whether it will remain this way for a week, a month, or more remains to be seen. Even with this last 'rushed' job having been 'completed' (I use that term loosely), it's been non-stop on my end for the past three weeks. But the fact of the matter is, I'm going to be getting home exhausted before I even get an opportunity to stop and actually sit down and relax.
Because of that, I won't be able to post as much for a while.
This is to let everyone that, even though my posts may take a while to happen, I have not abandoned my RP's and will post when and where I can. Sorry for any trouble this causes ya'll.

Glad to see things are moving along. I take it that, after a few more posts, you'll instruct us how to handle being 'rounded up' by the pre-existing supers?

Ranae would be one to help, but she'd probably be busy dealing with her own thing ... assuming Christian is doing this mid-day Sunday. :p I think I'll go ahead and post tomorrow or today if I get super motivated - only got like an hour 'til bed.

Dingo: Thanks for giving me the heads up! No worries, as long as I know that you're going to be here I'm not too concerned on post frequency. Post whenever you're free and don't stress out too much if you're too busy to do so on a certain day.

Yeah, I'll write up a generalized overview post in the IC of what is happening within each group and leave all the details of what happens up to you guys. I'll probably get something up in the OOC tomorrow to describe where things will be heading during and after the round-up. Oh and speaking of the round-up, I probably should mention how everyone's going to be split up for this first segment. To keep things simple, I'm going to go off the roll call posted on the prior page and split everyone based on their order by odds and evens so that Izkripp, Dingo, Sturmgewehr and Lugubrious will be in one group and Prince of Seraphs, Tenebrous Gaze, Lydyn and I will be taken by the other group. Don't worry, we won't be stuck in these groups forever. Just enough time for introductions and to try and figure out what is happening. To keep things fair and all, can the next person choose a number between one and ten to decide on which group of people each group will be taking.
Although we still have a few posts before we have to decide on which group we're going to side with, what are your thoughts so far? Pros and Cons of each groups? Suspicions and predictions of each group? Questions that you have for me or a generalized open ended question? Discuss away and by all means, play as the devil's advocate if you already have your mind made up on who you would choose to stir up the pot. However, let's keep the "I'm going to choose..." statements out of here for now since PM voting won when we decided if we wanted to vote privately or here in the OOC.

The number chosen will be seven (7), for that is the answer for all things. :p As for the moving along ... I just want to point out that one of two things happen - I be given enough time to make several posts explaining Ranae's week or enough time to write one giant post explaining all of what happens to her. I know people want to move along, but I also want to set up my character for a few things ... suffice it to say that she'll be taking a lot of inspiration from Batman in how she uses her wealth even before they encounter said groups.
As for my suspicions... it seems more like the groups represent Chaos vs. Order as opposed to Good vs. Evil at the moment with Carter and Tia being a part of the order group that is trying to reign in the chaos caused by the second group. Quite obviously, the two had some sort of falling out and it's government related.
So for Ranae, she is dealing with Telekinesis, Sound Manipulation (which seems the most dangerous with it not being in control), and Magnetic Manipulation. :p So she's the only direct fighter, haha ... that'll be fun!

Looking at both options, I'm trying to think what Joy would be most likely prefer. Tia's group represents the authorities/govt. trying to keep a lid on things and, as I'm sure many of you could already tell, Joy has a deep distrust of authority figures and the govt. At the same time, however, the other groups intentions, goals and plans are not 100% known. Joy may not trust authority, but she isn't a terrorist either. She would need to know what the other side was planning so she could decide in her mind whether Cameron and his lot constitute "Freedom Fighters" or "Terrorists".
I don't know which side Vida would go for. She would probably resist both sides and have to be forced to join one. Her main goal right now and to try and live has normally as possible. If either side came up to her and started talking about powers she would have two reactions. 1. She doesn't handle strangers/adults every well or stressful situations. So she would bolt. 2. She would deny it, even after it was proven she had powers, and try to run away.
For her to decide which side one would have to a tempt to befriend her or like I said before, force her to join.

I'm probably going to put a hold on posting for either group and post just for Jenna for my next post. Just keep me updated when you, and everyone else, is ready for the jump to Saturday night.
As I said last night, here's a brief rundown on how things are going to play out.
- Pearson is going to take over for the round-up and will be sending his tactile team while keeping the Supers in the TSP at headquarters. The tactile team will be all geared out with guns, bullet proof vests, helmets and the whole shebang. It'll be a quick in and out with them barging in and using a tranq gun so that they can haul everyone out without worrying about their power and be transported into a holding cell with everyone else at headquarters. Go ahead and cause as much rucas as you want before getting tranquilized. The tranqs won't last long so by the time you've reached the holding cell you'll start to wake up.
- The Reformers are going to mainly rely on Josiah to transport everyone to a reinforced vehicle similar to a prisoner transportation van, minus the shackles but still locked in the vehicle. You can try to run, fight, etc. if you want but Josiah will be cocky and won't be afraid to show his abilities. After he jumps to the transport vehicle, you'll probably be disorientated and feel a little dizzy at first. The vehicle will be impenetrable and pretty much Super-proof but Garret will be in the back as a guard as the vehicle is in motion.
- After about 30 minutes or so IC time and everyone is introduced to each other and tries to figure out what's happening/tries to escape/freaks out into a panic attack or whatever is relevant for your character, things will happen and both groups will find out that the other group rounded up a few of the Supers and both will be after the other Supers. The ones at the TSP will be teleported to vehicle moments before the vehicle is stopped by the TSP. Chaos will occur. Guns, powers and accusations will be flying around as each groups try to convince them to join their group. Arguments occur and choices are going to be made by our character on the spot on who to go with.
-Trouble doesn't end there however, things will happen depending on which side is chosen.

What each group stands for, as well as each person within the group, will be something that we'll be focusing on as well as where each character stands and where they stand change depending on the situation they face.

That's a stereotype, if one is 100% blind they don't require shades. The sunglasses are used for people who have enough eyeball functionality to see vague imprints and light sources. This is clinically blindness and the remaining sight is often more of a hindrance because the sudden light and dark contrast can be disorienting and painful. Those blind people use shades to block out that last 5% so it doesn't get in the way.
The only reason for someone like Christian to use shades would be as an identifier but as previously stated he doesn't like using those if he can help it.
Also just a note, unless someone has worked with the blind before there is very little chance of them associating fogged eyes with blindness. Light blue eyes that almost look like mist aren't that uncommon.

Ah, okay. I guess you and I have had different experiences with the blind then. Of the people I worked with, two of the clinically blind didn't use shades and the totally blind man did. When you say "blue eyes that are fogged over due to his blindness", my mind immediately goes to this.
Sorry, just interpreted things a little differently.
