The Swarms - NPCS

Slaves

Name: Slaves
Alliance: Active Obstacle
Appearance: See Picture
Power Level: Weaklings
Description: Mindless slaves, sent as meat shields to bog enemies down with their numbers while tiring out their strength as well.
Gear: Torn clothes, poor quality weapons, and sometimes slings for rock throwing.
Abilities: Agile, sharp claws and teeth, and come in swarms.

War Rats

Name: War Rats
Alliance: Active Obstacle
Appearance: See Picture
Power Level: Mooks
Description: Only slightly more intelligent than slaves, they are fitted with better equipment and trained for battles. They are still mainly used to overpower by numbers, but are much more deadly compared to slaves.
Gear: Carry around assortment of melee weapons such as swords, axes, and spears with shields of depending quality strapped to their arms. They also wear tougher armor, mostly still cloth but important areas protected with sort of decent quality.
Abilities: Less agile due to their armor, still have teeth and claws, and still come in swarms but less numerous.

Plague Rats

Name: Plague Rats
Alliance: Active Obstacle
Appearance: See Picture
Power Level: Mooks
Description: Fanatic worshipers of their God, crazy rats that act as frontline soldiers to battle against all heretics and spread their plague.
Gear: Usually carry around heavy two-handed weaponry to dent heavy armor and inflict heavy damage, generally coated in some feces or other nasty stuff to spread their disease. Their armor generally consist of cloth, their weapons are already slowing them down enough.
Abilities: Slow due to weaponry, riddled with diseases to spread, and generally are freaks that take more damage before they go down compared to other rats.

Famine Rats

Name: Famine Rats
Alliance: Active Obstacle
Appearance: A bit more clothing around the body, with better weapons on themselves.
Power Level: High Level Mooks
Description: Commonly mistaken as slaves, these rats are used for quick incisions of guerrilla warfare than upfront combat. Speed is their game, and they generally are the fastest out of the mooks as they are able to look like blurs to normal eyes.
Gear: Generally knives for combat, and wear cloth armor to provide for full mobility and speed.
Abilities: Can travel extremely fast with their bodies, faster than even most of Swarm Death but fighting abilities are lacking due to their focus on speed. Though, they fight by actually taking objects from enemies at blurring speeds before leaving them completely defenseless to their knives.

Death Rats

Name: Death Rats
Alliance: Active Obstacle
Appearance: See Picture
Power Level: High Level Mooks
Description: Silent assassins, these are the lesser and beginners of the art of death as they practice to become full fledged assassins. They are generally smarter than the average rat, they rely on their sneaking and stalking to do their work before attempting a flurry of blows on opponents to their backside. Never fight head on, generally aim for higher targets and leave fighting to slaves before disappearing into the shadows.
Gear: Heavy cloth armor, colored black to conceal their presence in the darkness and also carry around several sharpened daggers.
Abilities: They are silent, stealthy, agile, and deadly. Lowest numbers of all Mooks, though most experienced and smartest at of all the Mooks.

Rat Ogres

Name: Rat Ogres
Alliance: Active Obstacle
Appearance: See Picture
Power Level: Mini Bosses
Description: Large destructive beast, reaching to the height of 15 - 20 feet tall as their muscles bulge against the scarred skin. Molded by the Warmaster himself, they are hulking beast that tear through droves of rats while ignoring dozens of seemingly fatal attacks. Warriors on the battlefield, they are rare sights to behold.
Gear: Nothing, they rely on their pure brute strength and natural weapons to cleave through enemies. Anyways, it is impossible to even try to armor them up with the amount of rage that goes through the monsters and generally pick up any random large objects as weapons.
Abilities: Pure unadulterated power, surprisingly fast for their size and natural weapons able to tear through armor like butter.

Plague Monks

Name: Plague Monks
Alliance: Active Obstacle
Appearance: See Picture
Power Level: Mini Bosses
Description: Even crazier than their fanatic brethren, they are much more powerful than the average rat as they have tapped into using magic to spread their disease. They are backliners to the Pestilence Swarm as they hurl potent flesh dissolving diseases across the battlefield.
Gear: Generally wearing cloth armor, they carry around well-crafted swords for close combat and a staves for long ranged spellcasting.
Abilities: They are able to withstand many forms of disease as they almost bathe in it daily to show their devotion. For spells, they can either form varying sizes of plague balls to cause devastating area of effect damage that will most likely kill anyone in a minute with their agonizing diseases. Secondly, most are able to also shoot out a 15 foot cone of disease towards any direction they are facing, able to stop entire swarms in their tracks if enough are gathered in the same place.

Rat Snipers

Name: Rat Snipers
Alliance: Active Obstacles
Appearance: See Picture
Power Level: Miniboss
Description: Working at very far distances, these rats through stealing and murder have managed to re-engineer their own weapons to use from the hands of the humans that once lifelessly gripped onto. Working in many pairs, these rats use the their weapons to snipe enemies from far distances and reposition with their mobile shielding at extreme speeds. They usually leave the Famine Rats to strip enemies of their armor before striking a fatal blow. The only downside is that these guns are shoddy due to early prototyping, they often break in the middle of a battle and the most well-taken care of gun could only last one or two battles.
Gear: Cloth, magical shields carried by partners, and hand-crafted sniper rifles.
Abilities: They can still move at extreme speeds, these rats also have good eyes and reflexes to be able to strike down opponents in a hectic battlefield of countless bodies to find their perfect targets.

Assassin Rats

Name: Assassin Rats
Alliance: Active Obstacle
Appearance: See Picture
Power Level: High Level Miniboss
Description: Silent eviscerators, these rats are the pinnacle of their impossible training into one once frail body. They have complete and utter control of every single muscle in their body able to perform impossible acts of acrobatics with their high intelligence able to pinpoint the exact weaknesses after a few strikes. Only a few exist, they travel alone in the darkest parts of hell to strike at their targets.
Gear: Hard leather armor, a dark color that compounds with their pure stealthy skills already and carry several potent poisoned weapons such as punching daggers and knives.
Abilities: Full body control, impossible agility, stealth, and the spell to turn into smoke and travel at will.

[The Wild West]

Warlord Lash

Name: Warlord Lash
Alliance: Active Obstacle
Appearance: See Picture
Power Level: Boss
Description: Insane in the membrane, Lash always seems to have a chip on his shoulder with a very violent temper. Warmaster of Swarm War, Lash controls his troops with a dangerous efficiency with a group of the most highly trained guards equipped with heavy armor and halberds. When he enters the battlefield, you can almost expect the winning side will always go to Swarm War with his excellent commands, highly trained troops, and his fighting abilities the best out of all swarm leaders.
Gear: Enchanted plate armor, never dents and is stronger than it appears able to even deflect bullets. Dual war scythes, enchanted to even the smallest cut to forcefully bleed out an exuberant amount of blood.
Abilities: Best fighter out of all the swarm leaders, even though his body is as small as the average rat, his strength equivalates to an entire Rat Ogre within that small agile body. He doesn’t rely on spells as he trust his weapons, armor, and skill.

High Plague Priest Skrall

Name: High Plague Priest Skrall
Alliance: Active Obstacle
Appearance: See image
Power Level: Boss
Description: Even more insane than the warmaster, Skrall finds himself the leader of all of Swarm Pestilence, and uses his devotion to his God to bring plagues to everyone. He is so infectious, that even the plague monks avoid his presence as even the smallest touch will cause a horrible death of agonizing pain to the person with almost no way to cure their instantaneous transfer of disease.
Gear: Simply some cloth armor, his feces scrawled book to his God, and an enchanted staff that allows him to channel more Manus into his body than possible.
Abilities: A frail rat, Skrall is possibly the most dangerous to be around as being in his presence causes skin to peel, flesh to burn, and souls to dissipate from the toxic aura. Skrall’s spells are the most powerful out of all swarm leaders, toxic balls that can take out entire regiments of rats, plague sprays able to stop half an army, able to send a blessing of plague to make any attacks that hit flesh melting, and plague storm able to use his surrounding presence into the air and causes a storm with giant rains of pure pestilence to attack random areas causing any to be literally melted from the pure and potent disease.

Famine King Crash

Name: Famine King Crash
Alliance: Active Obstacle
Appearance: See Picture
Power Level: Boss
Description: Yet another insane leader, Crash rides with the Famine Riders in their doomwheels across the battlefield with no caution on friend or foe. The Famine King rides these machines into battle and causes chaos with the deadly spiked vehicles and dangerous manus infused lightning attacks. Himself and usually 5-6 other riders zoom across any terrian usually chasing injured rats or running over scores of rats that are all bunched up together.
Gear: Famine King’s doomwheel is maxed out, with lightning attacks that could blast clear through the thickest of steel and a maxed out shield that protects him from almost any attack and can only be penetrated with enough attacks against the extremely hard to hit target. The other doomwheels have similar builds, but less of an effect compared to Crash.
Abilities: Literally hardwired into the Doomwheel, Crash is able to drive the machine with brain signals making turns almost instantaneous and firing mechanism happen by just a thought. Once the machine dies, Crash dies with it.

Deathmaster Kritch

Name: Deathmaster Kritch
Alliance: Active Obstacle
Appearance: See Picture
Power Level: Boss
Description: Completely silent with a calm attitude, Kritch is the most stable out of all but is most likely the deadliest if he gets the drop on his target. Master of swarm death, he is the most serious to murder in cold blood and is the last person you would want on his shit list.
Gear: Two coated in poison punching daggers for his hands completely paralyze the target with a deep stab, sharpened metal toes that even the smallest scratch leaves a almost shock inducing pain into the bloodstream, and a poisoned dagger on his tail that quite literally could melt flesh. All coated in a heavy leathered enchanted set of armor, completely masking his presence.
Abilities: Everything, Kritch can control everything in his body and complete control of his mind. The movements are impossible and generally can contort into any shape to dodge attacks and wrap around targets. The one spell that he uses explodes his body in a black fog and then in that fog can materialize any limb with their weapons to pop out anywhere in the smoke.
