Not too good. Motivation is dry as usual, I'm thinking about holding that story off until I can learn to write better and such. I'm just not getting anywhere with the story. Plus I'm not the biggest fan of action oriented series. But who knows, maybe soon something good in terms of that story will happen.

Sorry to hear, in both of your cases. I'm not really doing all that great myself.

There's a lot of battles in my project, but I don't think they're the whole focus or anything. As for your own story, I guess you'll just need to work on a way to build your writing then. Role-playing could help with that.

The problem with the whole roleplaying thing is that I can't find a rp that I'm interested in except the one that has seemingly died. lel roleplaying my story is sorta hard as well, as you know. But yeah, I'm thinking of writing something more my thing, because while I enjoy it, action series are not my favourite.

The new idea (not really new to be honest) could in a way be a "what if the twins never became shut-ins" sort of thing, since Neko will be the MC.

A spin-off project could help you out, so that's a good idea. I'm not particularly into 'slice of life' stories myself, but if you'd prefer to go with something less action-orientated I think it's a noteworthy thought to try something that involves the same characters like that.

I'd offer something to role-play, but I haven't even been doing it for myself here much.

I didn't mean 'short' when I said spin-off. I suppose if you prefer, use the term 'alternate timeline story' instead. You could make the argument that the MMORPG one is the spin-off instead. The point is, relating the story to your other one will allow you to develop your skills at working with those characters.

As it stands, I have a couple of options. My associates have complimented on how relatable to the real world my project is, but that one element of the setting still has me somewhat concerned. I'll be able to make a more earnest effort at working on the project once I think that issue over a bit.

I was considering bringing it up here in the hang-out thread, but I want to avoid spoiling anything major about my plot.

@Pudding I make characters best by getting a vague outline, and then filling in details and most of the specifics as I play them. So...usually it takes about a month. ^.^;;

Gahana Shoujyo

Transformation Class


Gahana is far from an early riser and the morning makes her extremely sluggish. It's also the only time that you'll find her hair not up in a tail, just unedited and flowing free. Until fully awake her reaction skills, general intellect and responses are lower than average. She'll spend most of the morning getting ready to go out and applying makeup and accessories.
Gahana can talk too fast for some people to keep up with and often uses slang and text abbreviations in everyday speech. Her tone of voice isn't ear bleeding high but is rather high, she'll habitually end her sentences with 'Ne' to soften her sentences and add an atmosphere of cuteness to her side of the conversation. Her exterior demeanor is that of a confident, happy and relaxed girl but her true feelings are that of wavering attacks of self doubt and identity dysphoria.

Gahana's mental state is deeply intertwined to how others perceive her. Her fear of being rejected outweighs the fear of harming herself to impress others, both physically and emotionally. With that in mind, Gahana prefers to be called 'Hana'. She prefers this name because 'Gahana' can be a mouthful and doesn't sounds as cute until it is shortened.
Whenever Gahana meets somebody new for the first time, her eyes dart up and down sizing up and accessing how to interact with this new person. She does this in hopes of winning over a new friend. If she can't make friends with just about as many people as possible, she can be crushed deeply emotionally in her mind while expressing a strong exterior shell. Although she attempts to make friends with everyone, the inner circle of friendship she prefers to be with are ones she finds extremely valuable and doesn't take the friendship with any shallow nature. Prioritizing discussion, an exchange of ideas and trust when deciding who are valuable to her and who are not. Generally Gahana can be compassionate and extremely helpful, but if lied to or betrayed she may never be able to forgive someone.

Gahana is indifferent towards animals. She's never owned a pet, when asked if she would like one, she rapidly shakes her head explaining that it's not worth the massive responsibility. Sometimes times with close friends she can be a little flirty. She's not a complete flirt as physical signs of affection trigger her transformation quirk due to embarrassment. When asked if there's anything she would change about herself, it'd normally be something along the lines of
"Nothing at all! Aw, well maybe I'd change so I could be even cuter!★"


Born April first, in Okinawa.
She lives with her mother and father, nether of her parents have a quirk and she's been an only child her entire life. Her mother was simple housewife, teaching Gahana house skills and everyday cooking skills whenever given the chance. Her father was an intense prosecutor for the district who rarely had time to play but always could afford expensive gifts for the family. That isn't to say her father was never around, but he just didn't have as much spare time as everyone would have liked.
Loving the area she lived in there were many places that she could enjoy friendship building activities alongside being a regular teenager.

Signs of the overdrive quirk appeared on Gahana at around the age of two. Her crying would be screeches that could shatter glass and form cracks in the walls. She could lift objects one hundred times her own weight as child. What her parents thought were fevers were actually he body reacting to the use of her quirk. In the beginning stages Gahana wasn't able to control it as easily, and often would pass out from over heating and exhaustion without realizing how long her quirk had been in effect. There had been a few incidents in which someone had gotten hurt. During Kindergarten a group of boys pushed Gahana to the ground. She cried for a moment, got up and pushed them back. The only difference was she had sent them flying into the air, crash landing into a tree. Another incident involving a car and pedestrian. Walking across the street at an intersection a wild car came out of nowhere, reacting fast Gahana placed her hands out to protect herself she unintentionally crushed the front half of the car whilst she still stood in place reasonably unaffected.

It was obvious she wasn't a regular teen. Did this dismay her from doing what she loved? No. But she did change. Frightened her family and friends might stop liking her, she constantly dotted on the thought of how to lose her quirk or change herself to avoid anybody knowing it existed. This identity crisis formed into a girl who was obsessed with all things cute, doing anything she could to be the cutest, overcompensating for that fact that her quirk was extremely destructive and 'manly'. The only thought on her mind is 'How can I get everyone to like me, and keep it that way?'. It wasn't her who found the academy, but while scrambling along the internet she found some kind of Hero Academy on a subreddit. It was made for people just like her, well, people with quirks, not some cute little flower like her.

"No way, you can't be a hero, that's for burly strong men. You'd just fail and everybody would look down on you."

The fear never goes away, but if she could become a real hero, then everybody would like her for her. After all;
"Everybody loves heroes! And nobody said they couldn't be cute★!

Overdrive

The Overdrive quirk is stimulated mentally. Sometimes at will and other times involuntary as with many instances with Gahana. When stimulated, muscle strength is increased to superhuman stats and adrenaline is constantly pumped throughout the body. This allows somebody with the Overdrive quirk to be extremely athletic and almost unstoppable. Whilst a person stimulated with Overdrive may not be feeling pain at the time, they are not immune to cuts, bruises and general trauma, the after affects can and may show signs later. The true downside to Overdrive is determined by how long it is in effect.
For only a few moments it'll simply make somebody sluggish.
Half an Hour, fatigue.
An Hour, extreme fatigue and rise in temperature.
More than two hours, fainting alongside a fever with muscle pain for a few days.
In addition, Gahanas' hair grows in length and eye colour changes.
