The world watched in horror as the towers fell in New York City on what was a normal day. Every nation through that they were finally safe and peaceful, but then Al-Qaeda attacked U.S grounds. They destroyed the Twin Towers, part of the Pentagon was destroyed, but the worst news was in Washington D.C. The fourth plane hit the Capitol and destroyed the front part of it, which the dome collapse. It's the hour after the attacks, everyone in the world saw what happened, but how will they react? How will the U.S come back for the attack?

Mexico City, National Palace

Statement by president Vicente Fox

I thank you all, reporters and representatives for coming here. It is a difficult time our neighbors to the north face. It has been said by a few radicals that cooperation with them will only bring disgrace to Mexico but I say that as we both share the ideals of liberty, democracy and happiness for the people of our nations, I find that false and reactionary. The Americans, and I refer to the continent as a whole, are a tough breed. We, born from revolution and independence from other nations; we, people that have found ourselves oppressed by many yet through history can be seen cooperating and pulling through it all. It is we, Americans, North, Central and South, that need to stand together the most, taking into consideration our heritage. Be it the indegenous people that bravely fought, be it immigrants that rebelled from a king, be it just people that wished for a better life; no matter your ethnicity or the borders you find yourself inside of, you are an American if you seek refuge in the wings of this great continent.

And as such, we stand together with the United States government, its people, of which many are descendants from our lands. We will cooperate as much as it is required, be it relief for the victims, be it investigative measures. We do not know what the meaning of this attack that has occured just a few hours ago holds. We do not know what savage man could have taken so many lives; in such a dishonourable way. The deaths of the civilians inside both towers and their surroundings, inside the Pentagon and inside the Capitol will not be forgotten. We wish for a steadfast recovery for the US and we reiterate our support, if needed. Right now, brave men fight the fires and seek to rescure whatever they can from collapsed structures, many of those brave firemen and police offivers have their roots from this prosperous land we stand on. Today, the world holds no difference between nationalities, Mexicans and Americans are brothers who grieve at the sight of destruction, unjustified and senseless destruction. Today, there is no border separating Mexican and American, there's only man. Let us act like men and stand together, for this day will be remembered not only as a tragedy, which it is, but also a day where mankind stood together to help a fallen companion.

May God accompany and protect America. May the victims and their relatives find solace in His virtue. And may He grant us the strength to pull through this storm.

Thank you.

Prime Minister Kuozumi delivering a press conference on the 9/11 attacks

It was only yesterday that a horrific attack took place upon the soil of the United States of America, taking a great number of precious and innocent lives. Such an extremely vicious act of violence can never be forgiven. I am outraged by these attacks, which pose a grave challenge not only to the American people but to all people of the entire free world.

On behalf of Japan, I would like to express once my greatest condolences for the victims and their bereaved families, as well as my heartfelt sympathies to the President and the people of the United States and to all who have suffered.

Let it be clear that Japan strongly supports the United States and is resolved to spare no effort in providing necessary assistance and cooperation. We must stand firmly together with the concerned nations of the world to ensure that such acts are never repeated.

Prime Minister Koizumi gave a respectful bow to the press after the obligatory questions. They were to be expected, but they were simple enough. He accorded one of his most solemn grimaces, making clear how grim the matter was, before departing from the press conference as his foreign minister took to answering further questions. As he travelled with his entourage back to his office, he could not help but become lost in thought. Such a devastating attack from afar had surprised even the United States, one of the most advanced nations in the world. What was to stop a repeat attack from affecting Japan? It was only six years after terrorists had struck Japan, and now not even America was safe. Unlike the Sarin gas attack, however, America's perpetrators had came from abroad - but considering the volatile behaviour of North Korea, it seemed Japan too was at risk.

The Prime Minister sat down by his office, readying pen and paper as he prepared to draft a message towards his counterpart in Washington. He had to ensure that not only would his allies be safe from future attacks, but also the people of Japan too.

Dear President Bush

Allow me to once again share my deepest condolences to you and the United States. The people of Japan feel nothing but sorrow for the grave tragedy faced by your country. It is an adversity that shows the future that lays before us in the 21st Century - one full of uncertainty, and one where danger lurks around the corner. Japan itself has been subject to a terrorist attack only six years before, and now too has the United States befallen with its own calamity. It is with such potential tribulations facing both of our nations that that I am willing to strengthen the security of the United States military installations within Japan via the use of our Self Defence Forces, so as to deter any further attacks of such nature, and thus I seek the approval of the United States before giving any final order.

Our nations are firm allies, and Japan resolutely stands by the United States as it copes from the impact of such a terrible tragedy. I wish the very best for you and your people.

With regards, Junichiro Koizumi

President Saddam Hussein's Address to the Global Community on the 9/11 Attacks

I speak for all Iraqis’ when I say; America we too know what is like to be deeply damaged by the fanaticism of others. However, while I am deeply saddened over the loss of life the fact of the matter is that frankly the United States Government as an independent entity does not deserve the condolences of the Iraqi people or any peoples of the world as it continues to violate the sovereignty not only of the Republic of Iraq, but of other nations as well. As the leader of this great nation I can personally attest to the fact that the United States Government and their Zionist puppet through the use of covert mechanisms against this year’s harvest are responsible for denying bread to the mouths of starving Iraqi children.

Thusly, I warn all nations against rushing to make statements or adopt resolutions, which intrinsically support the United States’ use of unregulated force in response to these attacks; lest you wish to see these mechanisms turned against yourselves. America needs an influx of wisdom at this time not unbridled power; if we the global community deters an absolutist response Washington will have to turn to more sensible ways of dealing with this grievous crime rather than spilling of innocent Arab and Muslim blood.

To those grieving this day remember that God has created us, and to Him we return. May God give you long life.

Brewing Tensions in Iraq

It seems like Saddam Hussein and his Ba'athist cohorts are taking this brief relieve from underneath the proverbial magnifying glass of international scrutiny to revert to their old ways. While Saddam Hussein claimed to speak for “all Iraqis” in a defiant speech addressing the 9/11 attacks he made earlier today, it now seems his administration is posed to cleave off the majority of subversive elements according to a leaked memorandum issued a few days prior. The document in question addressed the question of identifying and dealing with so-called “enemies of the state”, identifying three bastions of opposition to the current regime; Shi’a groups in the south, Kurds in the north, and other suppressed opposition groups including the besieged Iraqi Communist Party. If this ends up being more than just Saddamist rhetoric it would be suffice to say that these are the tentative first steps of a state that has never maintained control over the situation in Iraqi Kurdistan. It is no longer a question of if violence will occur, but rather when.

In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Benevolent

On this day, 23 Jumaada al-Thaany 1422, the United States of America, our great friend, was attacked by blasphemers and misguided men with the vilest of ideas, under which they killed hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent people. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia sends its heartfelt condolences to our friends in the United States of America. While the Kingdom has seen many terrorist attacks on its soil, such as the attack on the Khobar Towers and the Grand Mosque Seizure, the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the Capitol are truly despicable. These animals took our religion and defamed it with this by acting in perverted and un-Islamic ways. As such, the Kingdom condemns these attacks in the strongest terms. Furthermore, the Kingdom shall stand by our friends in the United States in opposing these barbarians wherever they turn up, and it is our conviction that the entire Ummah shall stand with us in opposing these murderers. The Noble Qur'an says:

“…take not life, which God hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus doth He command you, that ye may learn wisdom.” (Qur'an, 6:151)

No justice or law was done, these assaults on Christians and Jews -People of the Book- are acts of murder, of hirabah, and the bandits shall answer to Allah for their crimes, and He is the best judge.

The world is changing rapidly, and since that the Cold War has ended we are no longer facing a threat that is behind national borders, but one that is spread troughout the world, lurks amongst us. It is the duty of the Ummah to oppose these heretics, blasphemers and liars, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia -the country of Islam and Peace- shall be a reliable ally to the world that stands against these groups.

-Prince Regent Abdullah of Saudi Arabia

London, The House of Commons

There have been the most terrible, shocking events taking place in the United States of America within the last hour or so, including two hijacked planes being flown deliberately into the World Trade Center. I'm afraid we can only imagine the terror and the carnage there, and the many, many innocent people that will have lost their lives. I know that you would want to join with me in sending the deepest condolences to President Bush and to the American people on behalf of the British people at these terrible events.

This mass terrorism is the new evil in our world today. It is perpetrated by fanatics who are utterly indifferent to the sanctity of human life and we, the democracies of this world, are going to have to come together to fight it together and eradicate this evil completely from our world.
-Tony Blair just after the 9/11 attacks.

With the attacks in America the British government were in recoil. A nation as powerful as America was attacked the way they were without any sort of prior knowledge seemed as if it should be unheard of yet still here it was playing clearly out on the screens in front of every man, woman and child all across the British Isles. Since the Prime Ministers speech there had been little coming out of Downing Street for them to work from and so they simply had to sit there and watch helplessly. However soon after the attacks and the fall of the Twin Towers there was finally a message from the Prime Minister, he had called an immediate cabinet meeting. The meeting carried on for hours from the early afternoon to the early hours of the morning as they discussed plans and the steps they should take following the attacks. Finally a number of letters were released by the Prime Minister before the cabinet left to try and get some sleep before more discussions in the evening.

To: President George W. Bush,
I am shocked and in horror having seen the attacks on your soil. The suffering and pain of your people is unimaginable and you have the compassion and thoughts of the British people in this, your time in need. Britain will gladly offer you any aid it can to alleviate your hardships and will gladly work as closely as it must with the United States of America to strengthen the security of both nations so that never again can an event like this occur. Again I would like to offer you the thoughts of every citizen of the United Kingdom.
From: Prime Minister Tony Blair

To:President Mary McAleese,
As I am sure you are currently aware, the United States of America has suffered one of the most shocking attacks known to us today. I of course am certain that you will and the Irish people will join me in sending the American people our thoughts and aid in this, the most trying of times. However with these attacks it draws to my attention that the British Isles may too soon be under threat from foreign extremism as well. I understand that the history between Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland is not the most positive however I wish to amend this. I propose,
The Anglo-Irish Protection Charter
This charter outlines the basic points that will allow for the better protection of the British Isles from a terrorist threat as well as the better dealing of any terrorist threat that may already be present in our nations.

-Firstly, the assets of any group or person throughout the British Isles that is suspected to be connected to a known terrorist organisation can be frozen with immediate effect without having to contact those involved.
-Secondly, any person connected with a known terrorist organisation that is interviewed for information about their group will be shared completely with each other to help in dealing with the danger.
-Thirdly, a joint group of UK Anti-Terrorist specialists and Irish Anti-Terrorist specialists will be formed. They will be involved in dealing with all terrorist threats throughout the British Isles with the power to seize people, assets and buildings if they are suspected to be connected with a terrorist organisation in any way.
-Fourthly, a joint, one time, Aid Package shall be sent to America as a sign of our joint support as well as to aid in the aftermath of the attacks. The money will be raised through donations from a public over the next two weeks, counted and then sent in a months time.
-Fifthly, finding a terrorist organisation that threatens the British Isles and requires any international action, such as military action, will be carried out by a joint force of British and Irish personnel.

I hope you can find this acceptable and await a response.
From: Prime Minister Tony Blair
