S&E | Golem's Day, The New Master Makes His Vow

In a land far, far away lies the kingdom of Fiore, a small, peaceful nation of 17 million, and a place filled with magic. Found in every home, bought and sold in every marketplace. For most magic is merely a tool, a mundane part of everyday life. For some, however, magic is an art, and they've devoted their lives to its practice. These are the wizards. Banded together into magical guilds, they ply their skills in search of fame and fortune. Many such guilds dot the landscape of Fiore. Two guilds who have become synonymous with amazing feats reside in the confines of a lake, calling the town of Luna Crescente home. Where they lay on the map being the only thing they have in common, a strong rivalry has divided them in their ideals. Harpy's Wing and Golem's Hand. Crossing paths has only resulted in clashes and disputes. A new chapter is opening and the question is, when their paths cross next what will be the result?

The weather was inviting, not even the most stubborn of shut-ins could resist stepping outside. The sun shined down on the town of Luna Crescente. As the light reflected off the clear waters that surrounded and weaved through streets the town seemed to sparkle. The breeze was pleasant and Luna was alive with activity. Golem's Hand, one of the two guilds residing in the lake town was having a festival, celebrating its fourth anniversary. Food, games, entertainment, the whole nine yards. Despite the guilds stern and hardened appearance, they knew how to provide a good time for the townsfolk.

The only people who could potentially not enjoy the festival was Golem's rival, Harpy's Wing. Harpy's guild hall sat in the middle of the crescent shaped lake surrounding the town. A perfect harmony of nature and architecture, the guild hall was built into the trunk of a massive tree. While they were at odds with Golem, that was hardly a reason to not enjoy such an event. Harpy was a guild built upon harmony, making them the proactive side in trying to bring some sort of peace for both guilds, though maybe a stronger effort could be put forth.

Whether Harpy's Wing and Golem's Hand could ever find themselves on good terms or not is yet to be seen. For now, the festivities and happiness of the towns inhabitants is what's important. Not only was Golem celebrating their fourth year as a guild but also the official inauguration of the new guildmaster.

Kyuuten Rallis

"ROOOAAAR!" The vulcan wailed ferociously as it barred down upon a defenseless young boy. The boy tried to cry out but his voice was stunted in his throat. The vulcan raised his fists and dropped them attempting to crush the boy. Suddenly, there was a yellow flash and the vulcan's hands made contact with only the cobblestone street of the small village. Dumbfounded, the big ape looked around anxiously for his prey. Finally, his eyes settled on the back of a white haired teen handing the boy over to his father. "Sorry I cut it so close. I was making sure the rest of the villagers were safely out of the way. I didn't know there was anyone still cornered by the vulcan." The man seemed to ignore the teen's apologies and held his son close. "Thank you thank you!" Just then the little boys eyes became wide with fear. "I-It's coming!" A gloved hand rested atop the boy's head and he suddenly became much calmer as he looked at the face of one it belonged to. "Don't cry. I won't let him hurt anyone~ I give you my word..." The white haired teen beamed a grin at the boy that evaporated all worry from his body.

The vulcan was right on top of him now. It roared and cocked back a punch only to be suddenly hit by a spinning vortex that sent it hurling back. The teen's body then started to glow with with a brilliant light and before the man and his son could register what had happened the young wizard had flew away from them with incredible speed and caught the vulcan midair with an elbow that sent it crashing into a nearby house. The snowy haired mage touched the ground and continued to radiate that brilliant light while the spinning vortex touched down next to him and dispersed to reveal a large orange furred wolf with drill decorating it's body. This teen was The Shining Sun of Harpy's Wing, Kyuuten Rallis. It was clear by the glow his body, one of the reasons he earned the title. "Hehe, see~?" Kyuuten looked back at the kid with the same bright and warm smile he did a minute ago. That was the second reason why he was given the title. His boundless energy and positivity along with the warm, welcoming air about him. Finally, the vulcan pulled himself from the rubble and looked very pissed off. "Look sharp, kid." The drill covered wolf uttered gruffly. Kyuuten turned back to the job at hand and nodded. "Yeah, let's take care of him quick Getsu. I don't want miss the party back home~" He said as he adjusted his gloves.

For some the feud between the two guilds of Luna Crescente wasn't enough to keep them away from a good time. Including the ever joyful beaming ball of sunshine known as Kyuuten Rallis. "Watch your head~!" Winding back the snowy haired Harpy wizard threw the ball and knocked down one of the targets in the stand. A few feet away stood a girl who looked the part of the general image of a wizard, pointed hat included. While staying out of the way of the crowd she seemed engrossed in the magical text being projected in front of her. Suddenly, a small teddy bear penetrated the floating pages. "He's cute, right~?" Kyuuten gave her his usual cheery smile. "I wish you wouldn't do that while I'm reading. But...yes he is very cute." She said taking the bear in her hands. "How'd you win it?" Kyuuten pointed over his shoulder the game stand he was just at. "Hehe, I knocked over Mozu~" Looking over his shoulder, Pyrrha could see the stand runner resetting the cardboard cutout of their guildmate alongside others. "You know, this only proves my point that we shouldn't attend Golem's anniversary festival..." She sighed.

Kyuuten Rallis, a member of Harpy's Wing and the guild's resident Celestial wizard. Pyrrha was his closest friend and first Celestial spirit he ever contracted with. She liked to hang around the using her own magic power so the two were often together. "It's fine, the festival has nothing to do with us. Golem is celebrating the day they were formed not our little skirmishes." The two walked around the festival, Kyuuten clearly unbothered by Pyrrha's concern as he sauntered on relaxed and with his hands on the back of his head. "I think the stand you won this from begs to differ." Pyrrha knew she wouldn't be able to change his mind. Kyuuten has been Harpy's most proactive member in trying to be more friendly with Golem. He didn't see the rivalry between the two guilds being to prove who's better as much as it was to push each other to become stronger. That was just the way the young wizard's mind worked. While his excessively bright attitude could be a source of worry for Pyrrha, she couldn't help but find it endeering. "C'mon let's grab a bite. I can smell that sweet sweet festival grub from here~" Pyrrha sighed and nodded with a slight smile.

Kitala was trying. She really was.

Festivities were, unfortunately, not her strong point. The Sound Mage sat off to the side, taking in the cheery sounds of children and adults alike. She smiled softly; even if she wasn't directly participating, the festival's atmosphere could lighten up even the most solemn people in all of Fiore. Including her. Kitala could tell that most of her guildmates were having a good time, at least, and that was always a pleasant sight.

Pleasant indeed, as a good 80 percent of the time Golem's Hand felt...uptight. Stern. But seeing everyone loosened up a bit made Kitala wish she could work up the damn courage to talk to someone. But conversation was also not her strong point; and so, here she was. Hell, even Harpy's Wing was having a good time, and those tree-hugging fools were nothing but-

Kitala stopped her own train of thought...that's not what tonight is about, she told herself. If there was a time to let go of her anger, now was that time. Besides, if she picked a fight eith any of the Harpy's Wing members, Delsin would kill her. Or worse. The thought of it made her smirk a bit, though. If anything, it would help her loosen up. Was her affinity for violence concerning? Perhaps. But sucker punching someone for the hell of it might just be her favorite pastime.

Drumming her fingertips against the table, Kitala's thoughts wandered back toward the festival. She was being kind of a killjoy, wasn't she? Maybe she should play a game? Get some food? ...Drink? Kitala settled on food and wandered over to a stand that just so happened to sell one of her favorites: donuts. Breakfast stereotypes be damned, glazed donuts were great for any occasion! Especially a festival like this! Slamming down cash, Kitala proceeded to grab enough glazed donuts to feed a whole table and shove them in a bag provided by the lovely salesman. Nice guy.

Glancing around first, Kitala tried to casually shove an entire donut the size of her face into her mouth...and succeeded. Nobody would notice, right? As the sweet, chewy taste hit her tongue, Kitala couldn't help but let out a satisfied Mmmm... Was she feeling a bit left out of the festival? Yes. Was she afraid to talk to anyone? Also yes. Did she mildly resent the fact that Harpy's Wing was here? Absolutely. But...today was a good day with these donuts.

Amaya Vanisis
The Golem's Ice Dragon

Location: The Festival
With:@joshua Tamashii - Joshua

"Either one is fine...Ice is best in its purest form it makes me feel like I am back home...wherever my home once was." Amaya replied in her usual quiet voice as her blue eyes scanned the crowd. She accepted the snow cone that was handed to her. She looked at the cone before she allowed her heightened senses to play the biggest part in today with listening to all the various conversations or to take in all the smells of the crowds. Everyone had a smell of their own, no two smelled alike.

"These Festivals...I have no memory of ever being at one but for some reason I feel like I use to enjoy all the festivals and events much like this one in my past..."Said Amaya gently to him before she stood up adjusting her lace umbrella and purple snow cone "We should go mingle with those of our guild. After all, we have a new guild master and Harpy wing is also enjoying this festival, so it will be interesting to see if any disagreements start."She added.

Amaya was never one for crowds. With or without her memories, amaya has always been shy in her general nature, so being in crowds was not her favorite place, too many sounds and smells to focus on plus there is always someone watching as

Xareth
The Crimson child

Xareth patrolled the festival grounds Ensuring everything was running smoothly, he was the type of guy who stood out, standing at 6 foot 2 with a rather muscular build. His long crimson red hair that shined brightly in the sun and mesmerizing emerald green eyes, Xareth wore a long black coat lined with gray fur and on the back of the coat hot the Golem's hand guild symbol In gray, he had black pants on, and black shoes. Being among one of the strongest at Golems hand, Xareth is a well known guy throughout the town of Luna Crescente. Little kids would ask for autographs, touch his hair, or to see his magic. It doesn't really bother him when they ask for such requests because he was once a child as well.

Soon Xareth was by the food area taking a seat on a shaded bench as he watched people move around laughing and having a good time. It made Xareth reminisce to a time where he lived with people who are no longer with him now. He rubbed his head and let out a long sigh. What his train of thought was broken when he saw one of his guild mates force an entire donut in her mouth making Xareth crack a grin because she tried to be hasty to not attract attention."Kitala come over here, let me talk to you for a little bit." Xareth said with a small grin as he saw his rather aggressive guild mate enjoying herself.

Kitala absentmindedly chewed on the donut in her mouth as she once again took in the festival's environment. She could hear laughter coming from just about everywhere; then again, she'd always had unusually good hearing. Part of the whole Sound Magic deal, maybe? Kitala's eyes focused in on a streak of red in the crowd...was that Xareth? A small grin played on her features as she realized he was probably getting hounded by kids. He'd always been popular, though she realized that she didn't know him that well. Or at all.

"Kitala come over here, let me talk to you for a little bit."

Oh. Well...crap.

He wanted to talk to her, and she had a face full of donut. Hastily swallowing the last of her food, Kitala quietly wandered over to him, trying to think of something to say. A guildmate once told her that she was intimidating; he said it was because of how often she got into fights. It was a fair point, but still. Kitala's soft grin turned into a somewhat nervous smile, seeing as people usually didn't talk to her much. But Xareth seemed nice enough, right?

"Uh, hey Xareth...what's up?"

Artial Alagore

Location: Festival Interactions: @Vongola_Hasayo-Kyuuten Rallis

Atrial wondered the festival with a bottle of booze in her hand. She wasn't drunk yet but she was a bit on the tipsy side. The only reason she had gone to the festival was to get a few drinks. She had been utterly drunk for the past week as she was trying to ignore the anniversary of her mother's passing. The same had gone for her father who was probably passed out somewhere in the guild hall. These types of things always had some pretty good booze. She had arrived almost immediately after the festivities had started and had almost immediately sought out where she could purchase some drinks. The Harpy loved to drink and everyone knew it. As usual the plain looking girl was wearing black clothing, something she did to avoid to much attention, and her eyes, as usual, were covered with her bangs. However, instead of wearing her usual black, low cut jacket, she had opted to wear a tight black turtleneck like shirt and a simple black vest with a collar. This was to hide her very open Harpy symbol. She wasn't in the mood to get into it with a Golem tonight, so hopefully none of them recognized her, and covering her symbol was enough.

As she wondered she caught sight of Kyuuten, the ray of sunshine he was, and his Celestial Spirit Pyrrha. Deciding to interact with him was an easy choice. And at least she wasn't the only Harpy here tonight. "Hey there Ky!" She slurred a little as she walked up to him. Her speech was only slightly impaired, and her calling him Ky was normal. She had a tendency to shorten everyone's name, much to some people's annoyance. "Fancy meeting you here." Again her speech was slightly slurred. In all reality she wasn't surprised to see him at all. He didn't care much for the rivalry between the two guilds and if she was being honest she wasn't really into it either. She never understood the reason to fight with the other guild that helps protect the city. Though she never voiced this opinion and simply went along with it.

Nezar Bistrum

Location: Festival Interactions: Nobody yet

Nez, having returned from a mission not to long before the start of the festival, sat at a table and shoved his face full of food. He was hungry from the journey and couldn't contain his love for food at that very moment. He hadn't even returned to his house before heading to the festival so his hair, which was normally well kept, was usually wild, and he still had his satchel, which contained his sketch book and other supplies for his magic. The bag was even still draped across his body as he hadn't even bothered to take it off and place it on the table. The Golem Hand mage had specifically made sure he mad it back in time for the festival. It would be the first that had taken place since he had joined almost a year ago. At the moment he was to busy stuffing his face to interact with his guild mates and the public but he would not be opposed to someone joining him if they so desired.

Xerath

Xerath let out a smile as Kitala made her way over, "I hope your having fun and not causing any trouble for anyone, Delsin wouldn't tolerate it especially today" Xerath said as he waved to more townsfolk. ""I called you over here because I couldn't help but laugh when I saw you devour that donut in one bite" Xerath said chuckling. Xerath looked up into the bright blue sky and let out a deep breath, this could have been day well spent training, training to prepare for when he avengs his fallen people.

Xerath turned to Kitala, "I know golem's hand can be strict but we never lose sight of what is important, though we value power what makes us different is what we use that power for, and we do it to protect the people." Xerath says rubbing her head, though a lot of guildies were intimidated by Kitala, he wasn't though.

Kitala at once noticed how...at ease Xerath was. That wasn't exactly commonplace when it came to her, seeing as she was, well, her. Aggressive. Violent. Intimidating. "I hope your having fun and not causing any trouble for anyone, Delsin wouldn't tolerate it especially today," he remarked. She found the laid-back smile on his face oddly charming. Kitala supposed that she should appreciate the fact that he wasn't worried about her punching him in the face, or something. The Sound mage managed to relax just a bit at that thought. "Well, I'm...doing my best on that front," she replied, chuckling softly. Trouble was the last thing she wanted to get into right now, given that she was intimately familiar with the concept of getting in trouble.

"I called you over here because I couldn't help but laugh when I saw you devour that donut in one bite." Crap, he saw that? And laughed? That's...horrifically embarrassing. "I-um-well, I was...hungry?" A light red played across her cheeks, though she was blissfully unaware of this fact. Gods above, she'd never wanted to punch herself in the stomach this much before. Today was a day of peace, perhaps, but tomorrow called for some serious skull bashing. Sparring sounded like such a sweet, sweet escape right now. Her eyes followed Xerath's as he looked up into the sky as she wondered just what it was he was thinking about. Such a philosophical guy, huh?

He turned back to face her. " "I know golem's hand can be strict but we never lose sight of what is important, though we value power what makes us different is what we use that power for, and we do it to protect the people." His hand was on her head, ruffling her hair as he spoke. Something about it made her feel childish. Like she was twelve, almost. And thus, the already-present red on her face brightened a few shades. "Y-yeah, I know...protecting people is why I joined to begin with. It's um...the most important part of being in Golem's Hand, I think." It was the honest truth, anyway.

Matisuki Kiryuin

Walking slowly amongst the pleasant stalls, Matisuki calmly takes a nice long look at his surroundings, while holding a cup of warm green tea he recently purchased at a tea stall. He wasn't necessarily the biggest fan of Golem, and while he does respect them, he can't help but enjoy the festival that is taking place. It's both lively and surprisingly peaceful in a way. People were having a good time playing activities, running around, chatting, it's nice overall. The tea tastes pretty good here as well. Not necessarily as good as how he makes it, or when he gets it from that one little shop, but it agreed with his taste buds. It wasn't that bad at all.

He recently came back from a mission that was to slay a creature that was terrorizing a local farm. Believe it or not, that creature was a juvenile Wyvern. Wyverns are a rather rare sight near Magnolia, but can be found deep in forests and jungles. Their subspecies, the Blizzardverns, mostly live high in the cold mountain regions, like that of Mt. Hakobe, who are even more seldomly seen overall. Regardless, that juvenile was eating a farmer's livestock every night, and needed someone to take care of it. Matt called in for the job, found and defeated the Wyvern, forcing him to retreat what would once be considered his "territory", and earned himself a nice sum of scales. It was a good day so far.

Now he's here at the festival trying to relax and have a good time. He sits down on a chair and continues sipping his tea, looking around at what to do next.

Kyuuten Rallis

@LostDestiny

Kyuuten had collected a rather impressive stash of snacks soon after arriving at the food vendors section. Pyrrha, still clutching the small teddy bear in her arms wasn't really interested in most of is but she did find a yearning for shaved ice. "Alright, two shaved ices coming up~" Leaving Pyrrha to look after his haul, Kyuuten headed off to get in line. As he waited a ball bounced next to him followed by a few kids. "Kyu~" The kids bounded over over to the snowy haired teen. "Hey, you guys, enjoying the festival?" The closest nodded cheerily as Kyuuten ruffled his hair. Picking up the ball Kyuuten and handed it too the kids. "Wanna play with us?" Kyuuten pretended to think it over before clapping his hands decidedly. "Sure, but just a little. I've got someone waiting on me. Remember to throw real high~" They nodded and did as he said as he let one of the kids sit on his shoulders. With the ball high in the air Kyuuten told the kid to hold on tight. He activated Meteor, one of his Heavenly Body spells, and flew up quickly letting the kid on his shoulders catch the ball. Despite the feud the residents of Luna weren't swept up in choosing sides. Naturally, people may have liked one more than the other but it wasn't anything malicious.

After playing with the kids and purchasing the shaved ice he'd promised Pyrrha, Kyuuten returned to find the Celestial spirit standing with one of their fellow guildmates. "Hey there Ky!" Artial, Harpy's Wing resident drinker greeted him with slightly slurred speech. "Fancy meeting you here." Kyuuten smiled. "I wouldn't miss this even if Golem tried to ban us. Sounds like your already having fun hehe~" He chuckled referring to her slurs as he handed Pyrrha her shaved ice. "Yeah, don't you think it's a little early for that?" Kyuuten made a cheers motion with his shaved ice tapping it against Pyrrha's causing her to nearly drop hers. "Forget it, if that's how she has a good time it's fine." Unable to really argue, Pyrrha simply decided to enjoy her frozen treat.

Joshua moved through the festival, taking in the sights and sounds while dodging the children that where running through the streets. He didn't mind festivals, as he enjoyed the opportunity to relax and just not have a care in the world other then to enjoy himself. Events like these reminded him of the festivals he would go to with the dojo back in the far east, though he was often competing in some sort of tournament on those occasions.

As he traveled through the streets, he spotted Amaya sitting on a hill by herself. He had worked with the dragonslayer on occasion and frankly found the girl a bit fascinating, especially how such a quiet, somewhat shy person, could have such incredible power. While he had asked about her past on one occasion, she refused to talk about it, and he could respect that, given how he didn't like talking about his own either. Glancing around, he went and grabbed something before approaching her, giving her a kind smile.
"I know you like ice and all, but maybe you should try some with a bit of flavor. You might like it." He said, holding out a grape flavored snow cone. He was holding one for himself in his other hand, though his was blue raspberry instead. "Or would you prefer the blue one? Either fine, I'm fine with both of these. Course, you have the option to say no."

Phoebe

Locations: ??? || Interactions: N/A

Phoebe looked around her, at the dimly lit cavern that had been restyled as a hideout. A hideout for a dark guild which had recently gained some infamy. The members of said guild now surrounded her, armed and ready; the feeling of magic being charged in the air was thick and palpable, and being intimately familiar with this feeling, she was aware that her - admittedly feeble - attempts at negotiation had broken down, and a fight would inevitably break out soon.

Jacobii Flesh-eaters, the dark guild in question, and numbering in over forty members of mixed magical ability, was a dark guild that, while relatively a non-threat compared to other, more infamous dark guilds, had drawn attention to itself through various acts of atrocities, the most well-known of which was its members disturbing practice of devouring human flesh in order to fuel their more obscene magic abilities, from which its name was derived.

If that weren't enough, they were known to have practiced human sacrifice on a practically monthly basis. At first, reports had chalked it off as another of their demented rituals - only to later recoil in fear and panic as they discovered that it was indeed a "ritual"; an actual magical formula designed to achieve results normal spells could never attain.

The specific aim for this ritual was what brought her here. After all, she could never condone the summoning of demons, regardless if one's intentions were benevolent or not. The fact that it was the latter simply made it so much easier for her.

"So," she muttered, her normally subdued voice amplified by the deathly quiet that filled the cavern, in spite of the sheer number of people surrounding her, "am I to take that as a 'no'?"

"KILL HER!"

And so to battle.

The Jacobii Flesh-eaters were actually somewhat impressive, she observed. For a minor dark guild, they had an adequate amount of resources, a not insignificant number of members, some of which were actually mages of skill, and their guild leader was skilled in coordinating his guild members, making them an effective fighting force rather than a ragtag bunch of bandits with magic - an actual guild, so to speak. That there was over forty of them warranted this mission an A-class label, as well as a recommendation to do this as a party. In someways, that she had come here alone would have been considered reckless, a bit foolish even. Even a party of A-class mages would have trouble with this many opponents. In the normal course of events, she would have been swarmed and defeated after bitterly struggling against them.

But for all her faults and glaring deficiencies, for all that there were many that whispered behind her back and doubted, one thing remained true:

She was an S-class mage for a reason.

The members of Jacobii paused and blinked in confusion, as the little girl that had suddenly waltzed into the middle of their hideout and demanded their unconditional surrender disappeared. There was no flash of light, no magic that they could see, and yet, the girl was no longer there.

"Come."

Turning around, their eyes collectively widened as they saw her standing idly, arms relaxed at her side, and with a bored expression. What truly caught their attention, however, was the array of floating spears of light arranged menacingly behind her. The light from those javelins eclipsed the light of the torches arranged across the walls of cavern, and blinded several of them.

Before any of them could comprehend what was happening, the spears fell.

It was a one-sided battle. No matter what spells and curses they threw at the girl, she remained unaffected, somehow dodging each and every one, while hurtling towards them an unending barrage of light. Their numbers dwindled quickly, and soon, there was only one was left standing.

"M-monster!" cried the last member of Jacobii, their guild leader, an B-ranked mage by the name of Jacob Imber. In utter desperation, he opened his mouth, and from it, a blackened hand pulsing with malicious energy shot towards Phoebe, aiming to grip her neck. To his utter astonishment, the hand went straight through the girl, passing through her neck and embedding itself in the wall behind her. "H-how?!"

"I'm sorry if I deceived you."

A familiar voice from behind him made his heart skip a beat, and he turned pale as he slowly turned around to face the one that spoke.

There stood another Phoebe, just as relaxed and apathetic looking as the one in front of him. His mind reeled as he realized the implications. All this time, he and his comrades had been aiming their spells at an illusion, when the real mage was-!

His thoughts cut off as another spear of light impaled him through the stomach.

The cavern was silent, and the only sound that could be heard was his body hitting the ground with a dull thud. Phoebe walked forwards, stepping over the collapsed bodies of the dark guild, making her way towards a room in the back of the cavern. Blasting the locked door apart without preamble, she stepped inside, and spotted her prize.

A book on demon summoning. Where and how they procured it where secondary concerns; right now, she had a more pressing matter to attend to.

Another spear shot towards the book, immolating it completely. Phoebe watched it burn, her face expressionless.

Her job done, she took out the communications lacrima in her satchel. "I'm finished. Send someone to arrest the survivors," she said. With that done, she made way to exit the cavern.

With the way it was situated near the top of a cliff, Phoebe had a good vantage point. She should return to the guild soon, and report her success to the master. The guild was about twenty-seven kilometers from here. It shouldn't take too long then . . .

Locations: Festival || Interactions: Kitala @Shadeflare123 & Xerath @pkken

Phoebe stepped out of her room, having just recently returned and after taking a shower and changing. It was noisy outside; she wasn't surprised. If she recalled correctly, then today was the inauguration of Golem Hand's new guild master, so of course there'd be festivities. That even members of Harpy's Wing have taken part in them was somewhat surprising, but also completely expected - from what little she'd seen of her fellow guild mates, there were few among them that would remiss the chance to partake in celebrations of any kind, and she was sure the members of Golem's Hand would be loathe to taint this momentous occasion with petty fights.

She made her way downstairs, where a handful of her guild mates were merry making. There was fewer of them than normal, but she supposed that most of them were enjoying the festival outside.

Having already submitted her report to the guild master, she had nothing else to do. At this point, she would usually settle inside her room or somewhere isolated outside and pass the day away with a book in her hands, but there was a festival going on. In either case, she wouldn't be able to relax, unless she put some serious effort into isolating herself, and putting that much effort into so petty a task was demeaning even for her. It seemed she had no other choice but to go outside in the meantime. Perhaps a snack - she was a bit peckish after that job.

Phoebe donned a pure white cloak and threw the hood over her head, stepping outside of the guild and weaving her way through the crowd of merrymakers, ultimately going where her legs took her. It was fortunate that so few people were aware of her status as a Harpy's Wing member, much less that of her status as an S-rank mage; it meant that she wouldn't be bothered as much by the members of Golem's Hand, and she'd rather not trouble Master Anwen by getting into a fight.

Some time later, she happened across a stall selling glazed donuts. It appeared they were almost out, she mused. Deciding that donuts were a good a snack as any, Phoebe purchased the last ones remaining.

Making her way through the crowd once again, this time while nibbling on a glazed donut. A small crowd of kids playing ball swept passed her with a cry of "Hey it's Xerath!", and before she knew it, she was ushered alongside them in a dizzying rush. In her attempts to avoid tripping up the kids, Phoebe wasn't aware of how close she had come to a certain someone named Kitala, until she bumped into her, strong enough to knock the donuts out of her hands.

"Ah . . ." she stared at the glazed treat the other girl had bought, now resting solemnly on the ground.

Jansen Reynolds

Location: Festival Interactions: @TheHangedMan - Phoebe, @Shadeflare123 - Kitala, @pkken - Xerath

With a half-hearted smile on his face, Jansen steadily makes his way into the festival area of the village looking for basically anyone he knew from the guild. It been a pretty quiet and thus also fairly boring day for him, and in his experience, finding one of the more experienced guild wizards to tag along with was the best possible cure for boredom.

Jansen had heard some chatter that one of the festival game booth's this year actually involved folks throwing stuff at goofy cut-outs of his guild, so he figured that was as good a place as any to start his search. However, upon reaching the booth he quickly becomes distracted by it. It wasn't that he was offended by the booth poking fun at his guild in general, mostly it was that he was kind of annoyed that he didn't seem to be represented by a cut-out. While it was true that he didn't exactly have a high level of visibility as a wizard, he'd still been around for over a year now. He'd sort of done some jobs, and he had even finally been moved up from D-Class to C-Class. Nothing all that special really, but still.

Jansen was on the verge of becoming a bit sullen until he realized that a cartoonish looking cut-out dressed in a maid's outfit was, in fact, supposed to be him. When it had first passed through the rotation of figures at the booth, he'd taken it for being some kind of Virgo mockery, but in hindsight he wasn't even sure Harpy's resident celestial mage even had that particular spirit as an ally. After briefly failing to hold back a delighted smile, Jansen quickly recomposes himself and haughtily scuffs to no one in particular, "Well that's just in rather poor taste, isn't it?", before walking away from the booth in a false huff on what was officially shaping up to be the best day ever.

Merrily weaving through the crowd, which occasionally proved a feat of dexterity in and of itself, Jansen happens to catch sight of a fellow festival-goer losing grasp of their snack due to an unfortunate collision and his good mood simply insists that he intervene. Seemingly oblivious to his guildmate's identity or that of the girl who'd just been deprived of her sweets, Jansen retrieves Kitala's fallen treat from the ground, and with a slight glow of light blue magic attempts to hand the glazed goodie back go her in pristine condition, adding with a smile, "There you go. But you should be more careful, Miss., though his eyes a momentarily drawn away by the sight of a familiar figure launching up into the air with a golden aura.

Cocking his head up only slightly at the distracting sight, Jansen then returns a polite glance toward Phoebe, "These festivals can get sort of...", and upon looking at her fully, sees the mark on her belly and that she's seemingly standing next to... well... Xerath... and so she is clearly a Golem's Hand member, "... crazy."

Xerath starter chuckling at how flustered Kitala was getting,"Wow I don't think I have ever seen you blush before, it's a nice look on you though, you look cute" Xareth said teasing her.

his face went from happy to shocked in 1.5 seconds when the harpies wing S-class wizard bumped into Kitala knocked the donuts on the floor. Xareth knew what was gonna happen next and he just gawked at the 2 girls waiting for Armageddon. He knew the short temper Kitala had and on top of that the other wizard was from the harpies wing guild so if they brawled it would invoke even more fights.

Xerath soon was waiting for what Kitala was gonna do, "K-Kitala, ...now I know your mad but don't do anything harsh" he said waiting to get cut off. He then saw another gentlemen pick up her donuts and attempt to clean them off, though it was nice, Xareth gave the, Your life could be in danger look.

"Wow I don't think I have ever seen you blush before, it's a nice look on you though, you look cute." Now that was something. 'Cute' was probably the last thing Kitala would describe herself as; the fact that he was teasing her made her pout a bit, probably not helping the "cute" front all that much. "I would, um...care to disagree with that...statement..." Not two seconds later, Kitala felt someone bump into her, knocking her donut out of her hand and onto the ground. Kitala just stared for a moment, her jaw agape, before turning around to look at the filthy, vile creature that had deprived her of the sole object of her affections.

"Ah . . ."

Kitala was met with a tiny, cloaked figure who must have been seven inches shorter than her. But that didn't matter. "K-Kitala, ...now I know your mad but don't do anything harsh..." But heaven and earth be damned, she paid for that. With a tense jaw, Kitala spoke. "Is that...all you have to say?" Tightening her hands into fists, Kitala's eyes seemed to darken a bit. Today was a day of peace, but not when someone messes with her damn donuts. And not only was her donut prey to this damned fool, they also managed to drop their own donut. If Kitala needed to loosen up, she was miserably failing. "I swear to the Celestial King himself, I am going to knock your teeth out if it's the last thing I do, you damned demon-"

"There you go. But you should be more careful, Miss."

Kitala's gaze slowly shifted to the stranger who just spoke, holding a somehow perfectly clean donut in his hand and offering it to her. She suddenly felt very unsure of herself. Looking him up and down, Kitala narrowed her eyes a bit; wasn't he part of Harpy's Wing? She could have sworn that she'd seen him somewhere. "...Thank you." Gently taking her donut back, she slowly set it back down on a table next to her. "These festivals can get sort of...crazy." Kitala nodded, her eyes still narrowed. Returning her gaze back to Phoebe, she reached out and-somewhat roughly-tried to throw the white hood off of her head. Whoever this was, she wanted to look them in the eyes.

~Ceri~

@Lmpkio Interaction with Mat

Oh dear.

Oh dear oh dear.

Ohdearohdearohdear.

This was not good. Not good at all.

"Coming to the festival! Great idea Ceri, you'll have loads of fun! Note to past self: You're an idiot. Should have just stayed at home and read 101 ways to not get lost in a city you goddamn live in!" Despite the festivities, Ceri just couldn't get herself worked up to enjoy them like everyone else seemed to be doing. Or perhaps, it was better to say she was too worked up to enjoy it. Being antisocial to the point of being actively terrified of most people didn't exactly make it easy. Not to mention the crippling self doubt whenever it came to speaking with others.

Oh, and the fact she was completely, 100% lost.

She had no idea how she had gotten lost, but here she was, in the middle of a crowd eyes as big as saucers ready to bolt in the opposite direction faster than a rabbit if someone so much as even sighed in her direction. Which way should she be going? The tree shouldn't be too hard to find, right? It was big, in the middle of a lake...but she honestly didn't want to go back as much as she complained. She did want to try and enjoy this a bit, but it was...damn near impossible at best for her.

"ohdearohdearwhatshouldIdo?" Previous snark and hostility evaporated and was replaced with worry. Not that anyone would easily be able to tell since the robe covered all of her facial features. To the onlooker, it would probably appear as if the small, barely five foot tall mage clad in blue robes was frantically looking back and forth for something in the middle of a crowd near a tea stall before sighing, grabbing the hem of her hood and pulling it over her face with a small whine.

"Oh what should I do?" She quietly grumbled. Maybe if she could find a guild mate she could stick with them? As long as it wasn't from the scary people from Golem's hand, she'd be fine with others. Probably. Right. Okay. Finding another member of harpy's wing in this crowd shouldn't be difficult. They had to be here too, right? She could do this. She had no reason to be afraid of someone from her own guild. They were nice people, they wouldn't hurt her in any way shape form or fashion.

...probably.

She turned on her heels, not realizing that she had wandered fairly close to a table someone was drinking tea at and slamming face first into said person and their tea. Thankfully, they probably wouldn't feel much since she was about as physically impressive as a rabbit.

Unfortunately, this caused Ceri to freeze completely. The man she had run into looked anything less than comforting, in fact, she was certain she was ten times her size and could crush her puny existence with a single word. She stared at him, completely unaware she had seen him around the guild quite often.

~Sihu~

Like most of the others in Golem's Hand, Sihu was enjoying the festival as much as the others, even if her usually serious and no nonsense personality didn't particularly show it much. How was she enjoying it? Well, she had just gotten back from a rather extended leave on a mission. She wasn't one to stay in the city for long unless she was needed. So she was enjoying the city in the most typical way she knew how.

And that was by not understanding what was going on at all. She didn't particularly get festivals. Well, not that she didn't know what they were, but a festival like this was fairly knew to her, so she ended up doing what seemed to be the most appropriate thing that everyone else was doing.

eating about as much food as she could get her claws on. Currently, her mouth was stuffed with about five different forms of meat and her arms were holding more.

"I swear to the Celestial King himself, I am going to knock your teeth out if it's the last thing I do, you damned demon-"

...well them sounded like fightin' words!

Sihu swiveled her head in the direction of the voice. Looked like the actual festivites might be getting started soon!

...well, she'd eat first.

Matisuki Kiryuin

Interaction: Ceri @Rune_Alchemist

As Matt begins rising his cup over to his lips to take another sip and the steaming green tea, he felt something bump into his leg. It was a rather hard thump, as if someone bumped into him as if they were running. The jolt almost had Matt spill all of his tea, but was able to keep a very steady balancing act with his wrist, keeping the tea mostly within the confines of the cup. Sure, a few drips managed to escape, but otherwise the drink didn't spill. Matt had plenty of experiences like that, when someone bumps into him and spills his tea. But with much practice and concentration on balance, the grizzled man is able to keep most of his tea within the cup if anyone happens to suddenly "deny" him of so.

He clears his throat as he checks on his tea, placing it and the plate down on the table softly. Matt gets up from his seat and looks down at who bumped into him. Usually he'd give a big ole' whallop to any shmuck who tries to pick a fight with him. However, this wasn't a random punk. No no. Why in fact it was a little girl, who looked confused out of her god damn mind and practically scared shitless at his presence. But Matt knew the girl. Her name is Ceri, a smoke magic mage who also happened to be in the same guild as him, Harpy's Wing. He seldomly talks to her however, let alone even seeing her around, but she's perfectly innocent. Matt curves his neutral frown into a slight smile as he crouches to her height.

"Careful little Ceri-chan," he speaks with a soft but firm grizzly voice, "You should be careful around here. You almost made me spill my tea..."

He pauses as he looks at the girl's current reaction. Sighing, followed by a chuckle, he proceeds to pat her on the head.

"Ahh, but it's ok. Don't worry about it." he responds calmly, "You didn't spill anything anyways. I take it you look a little distressed. Are you lost?"

Artial Alagore

Location: Festival Interactions: @Vongola_Hasayo-Kyuuten Rallis

Atrial smiled at the spirit who had told her it was a bit to early to drink. "It is never to early. And If I wasn't drinking right now I would be holed up in my house so, personally, drinking is the better option for me." It was a causal comment, though it was true. This was not a fun time for her or her father. So to avoid becoming bumps on a log for about a week the two had taken to drinking. Though Atrial drank far more often than her father in general and was a lot more fun when drunk. The blonde took a swig of her drink and looked over the Celestial Spirit, who she now noticed was clutching a stuffed bear. "He's cute, you gunna name him?" She asked, her voice taking on a slightly more childish tone, though still slurred as she pointed to the bear. "Musta won him at one of these ridiculous games. I mean come on, we all know Golem Hand is our rival, they don't have to broadcast it in their silly carnival games." She was slightly annoyed that many of the games involving throwing or shooting at things had the targets be Harpy members but she didn't intend to voice said annoyance to anybody who would actually care.

After a moment of silence she shrugged as if to say whatever and looked around at the crowd. She enjoyed people watching as much as she enjoyed drinking. "Anyway, how long are you planning on staying out here. Till the end?" She asked, curious. She herself had no intention of hanging around that long and would probably leave in about an hour or so, just before she got to drunk to keep herself in check. She didn't want to have to make a guild-mate babysit her when she had drank herself silly. She wasn't sure if she wanted to hang around Ky until she felt she needed to leave or if she wanted to just wonder around herself. She would most likely end up doing the later. She was sure other Harpy members had made there way the the festival, there was plenty who couldn't resist a good party, no matter who it was hosted by.

Phoebe

Location: Festival || Interactions: Xerath @pkken, Kitala @Shadeflare123 & Jansen @Cardamonelaw

In the normal course of events, Phoebe would have apologized, and tried to make amends. She would have bowed her head, said her sorry's, and perhaps offer her up a donut of her own to placate the other girl. In the normal course of events, Phoebe would have stayed apathetic throughout this interaction, and let it pass on without incident.

Of course, in the normal course of events, she would never had been called a "demon".

She'd been give a myriad of appellations throughout her tenure as a member of Harpy's Wing, and not all of them were flattering. She'd been called "monster", "princess", "shut-in", "stuck-up" - but never demon. There were lines, after all, that her guild mates knew not to cross, especially when crossing that line involved getting struck by a spear of light sharpened to the point of deadliness - a consequence that many of her guild mates were there to witness.

But the other girl standing before her was not privy to that little fact, and so stepped on that particular landmine with all the grace and deftness of an angry elephant.

She opened her mouth, ready to have words with the girl, before hesitating. Was starting a fight here really the best course of action? What was the point in getting worked up over such a petty squabble, over a donut of all things?

Once again, Phoebe made ready to back down from the fight, when Kitala threw the hood off her head, glaring at her straight in the eyes with an imperious look she just couldn't ignore now. Very well, the velvet gloves were off.

"I'm sorry . . ." Phoebe began, "that you feel the need to act like such a petulant child." She finished, her voice barely rising above the soft volume it started with, but undoubtedly with increasing venom.

With or without her memories, amaya has always been shy in her general nature, so being in crowds was not her favorite place, too many sounds and smells to focus on plus there is always someone watching you whether you are doing something interesting or just walking past them...so creepy.
