Pokemon: The Alola Chronicles
***This Post, and this RP, will contain in game spoilers. This will not go over post-game spoilers, but if you have not completed the main story, and would like to save the experience for yourself, this ISNT the RP for you.
Alola. A region of rich culture, deep history, amazing sites and sounds, is a wonderful region and tourist attraction, that even rivals that of Kalos' great number of tourists each year. While it is smooth sailing for most, some literally, for young children in Alola, looking to complete the trials, it is a rigorous journey, filled with fun, new friendships, struggles and hardships, that only the best can overcome. Each day, new Pokemon trainers from around the world come to Alola to complete these trials, and prove that they are the very best that no one ever was. The regions goal is to get trainers bring out the best in themselves, and their Pokemon.
Alola is split up into four islands; Melemele, Akala, Ule'ule, and Poni. Alola's varying islands and climates provide a variety of different sources of Pokemon, some coming from the deepest oceans, others, from the snow caps of mountains. Alola provides a new type of battling function, known as Z-Moves. Z-moves can be used when a Pokemon is given a Z-Crystal respective to its type, or in some cases to the Pokemon itself. Z-moves offer a new interest in study, as there are many ways they can be used effectively, in and out of battles. Scientists and professors all around the world are trying to figure out the secret behind the powerful attacks.
With the recent destruction of the Aether Foundation, the Aether Paradise has become an abandoned lump of metal floating in the ocean. There are rumors of Ex Aether Foundation members being seen throughout Alola, even though reports say that all of them were locked up after the shut down of the Foundation. Nonetheless, sightings are being reported daily, and the rumors of the Aether Foundation rebooting are spreading fast.
So join us in the Alola region, for your chapter in this grand chronicle has just begun!
Yeee. So that was some flavor text to begin the Interest Checking part of this process. You would be a trainer beginning your journey to complete the trials, or if you want, contests, since I know some people don't find the battling aspect interesting. You have the option of starting from Alola, or recently moving to the region. I'm not looking for the characters to be super young, or old. I'd say mid teens. It won't be solely combat based, if you want to go a different route, say Pokemon contests, photography, or art, you can. Alola is open to many different ways of journeying. Below is some other information as a basis for some FAQs.
I'm looking first least 4 other people to post interest before I get the OOC up and running. Just some announcements right off the bat.
• Z-Moves will be accessible after beating your first trial.
• Mega-Evolution will not take place till mid game, so do not request megas at the beginning of the RP.
• Legendary Pokemon (from all regions) are a WIP. Mythical Pokemon are allowed, but most, if not all will be obtainable through and event.
• Ultra Beasts aren't around at the current moment, and are currently unobtainable.
• If enough people are interested that want to take the contest route instead of the gym route, then that will be an option. (if other, just ask!)
