TRINITY

When Lex looked up Trinity was smiling so brightly it was easy to tell she was about to burst out laughing You held out longer than most guys would have so I’ll give you an alright.. Her words trail off as she notices something not right in her environment and snarls softly just before exploding out of the water propelled by her powerful muscles nearly 60 feet to the other river bank.

The sight would be laughable or exotic in most circumstances in the old world but here today somehow normal as she a naked and aroused to anger amazon warrioress slaps large bush roots and all into the tree tops exposing three astonished and armed men. If they had not been so stunned by the furiosity and strange sight of her attack the three men might have made use of their assault rifles but fortune didn’t smile on them this day.

Using only the back of her hand she sweeps aside the barrels of their weapons then sweeps a foot through the water digging up the muddy sand on the bottom kicking a small but powerful wave of muddy water over them. But she isn’t done there as her next move is to grab one of the men by the belt of his pants and fling him over her shoulder like she was pulling a weed from her garden.

Ben the Fighter

"If I had my jacket I'd offer it to you, though I'd have to tell you to keep your junk tucked back. There's a lack of soap after the end of the world, funnily enough." Ben said, putting a hand over his eyes as Jae stirred and began to move around his body parts. He'd rather not look and see if there was lag on any of his limbs. Though Ben did imagine his nether regions must be covered in pebbles at the moment.

Ben sat back and just spoke to Jae, trying to be casual about the whole 'naked' thing until Aud walked up with some arm candy. Or maybe the Commander walked up with some arm candy, judging by how they walked. "That's ok." Ben chuckled, not one to let someone feel embarrassed unnecessarily.

Though that interrupting kiss that the Commander gave her was something he just couldn't help her with. He raised his brow in surprise, but said nothing at first. That is, until Jae got their attention and distracted them with talking about super hero wear. "I heard of kiss and tell, but I guess this is 'kiss show and tell...'"

Ben hopped up, and strode over to them with his lopsided smile. He didn't have any plans and was curious on what people were thinking, now that the resident Korean was clothed.

Jake had spent the next few hours just walking around the area mapping it out as best he could. He wasn't the best at drawing, but at least he had a good eye for distances. He hadn't run into anyone or anything which surprised him. The only noises he could hear were the normal sounds of nature and some loud sounds from the direction of the river. He'd probably head down there later to see what all the commotion was.

He had started out doing a half a mile from the bunker and was going to slowly expand the maps as he went on. He'd done a good bit of traveling when he decided to head back to the bunker before he would make way for the river. Once he got closer he started to smell something that was extremely out of place. "Is someone burning something?" That's when he heard screams coming from the direction of the bunker. He shoved his notebook in his backpack and started running as fast as he could.

Just before he got to the final line of trees in between him and the bunker he saw two guys he had never seen before attacking one of the people from the bunker. Jake instantly jumped in the way hitting one of the guys in the throat then kicking the other right in the groin. He turned to the attackee saying, "Are you alright? What's going on?" Before the man could answer the attackers were back but when they tried to grab ahold of Jake he just phased right through them. He then delivered a massive blow to one of the men's temple. He then grabbed the other putting him in a sleeper hold.

Audrianna blushed furiously at Ben's comments, promptly looking to the ground. Jae, with a wicked grin on his face, decided to tease his friend a bit. "Kiss show and tell... that's a good one. Aud, you---" he stopped short when the blonde shot him an evil look. The Korean coughed and scratched his head. "It was gonna be a joke, you know, no need to get all evil, he sighed and decided to just turn his attention to Ben. "Yyyeeeeah, sorry about all that flying thing I did back there. I was planning on testing out my powers, maybe shoot fireballs at you but I didn't think I'd end up being some sort of rocket---"

"More like a crazy, ballistic missile," Audrianna mumbled.

Jae looked at Audrianna and grinned sheepishly. "I swear I'm completely and utterly thankful to you for breaking my fall. And for bringing me clothes. I promise I won't do it again," he nodded his head solemnly. "It just happened, you know? But you guys should really try it. Flying gives you such a rush!" he grinned and turned back towards Ben, catching something flickering in the corner of his eyes. He frowned. "Am I hallucinating from exhaustion or is our bunker burning?"

Audrianna immediately turned her head towards the bunker. "Oh my God..."

Those left of her ambushers began to form a circle around Kwan and somehow there seemed to be more of them than before and that’s when she noticed that six of them were identical down to the rips in their clothing.

So Naruto do you think your Shadow Clone jutsu can defeat my Whirlwind kung fu?

I will now show you what it means to reap the whirlwind she said trying really hard not to burst out laughing.

She was obviously facing someone else in this group with power and must act quickly and decisively before they discover which of them might have a counter balancing ability to her own. She made peace with herself and the damage she was about to inflict on amateurs who had no real idea what danger they were in.

She began in exaggerated spinning kicks using the enormous inertia generated by her speed to spin so fast the tips of her feet and fingers were breaking the sound barrier and making her seem to be powered by the sound of thunder. Her adversaries tried to put up a defence but as she noticed in the beginning they lacked experience, skill and the will to go to war; Kwan held no such qualms. She was first and foremost an entertainer but her art was the demonstration of the arts of war and she was so very dedicated to her art.

They fell like wheat before the sickle some even fainting moments before she made impact which she went easy on and pulled her punches; she wasn’t a blood thirsty animal because she knew she was a dragoness. So rather than crow over her victory as she surveys her fallen foes she understands she isn’t in an attacking force but the porters and baggage which means that the real enemy is at the Bunker.

Kwan grabs her pipe fighting staff and tucks two short machetes she plans to use like butterfly knives through her belt and heads out her acceleration so fast that she’s supersonic within 100 meters.

"Huh?" Lex let out as Trinity behaved like a guard dog that had just picked up on an intruder. From her initial action, Lex could only guess that another alligator had arrived or perhaps some other kind of animal. Instead, the intrusion was caused by people that he knew nothing of. Who are they? Lex's first thought was left to the wayside as he noticed their rifles being slapped away by Trinity. As strong as she was, Lex would not just stand there idle. "I got your back!" Lex shouted as his body shifted into a cloud of dust shot towards the attackers.

As Lex flew forth, he noticed Trinity flinging one of the attackers to... to wherever she flung him. Lex quickly took the chance to disperse his dust form at the other two that flailed at him. He limited their vision just to set Trinity up for an opening.

Who the hell are these guys? Defectors? Or are they other people who survived?! I guess Walmart will have to wait and I'll never know what Trinity was going to say before these guys showed up. Ooh I hope she hits them hard.

Cody had grinned sheepishly and kind of chuckled at the guys' comment's on his kissing Audrianna so publicly. He didn't want them to realize that he was a little insecure when it came to her. He felt himself blush and then he heard Jae ask if the bunker was on fire. "What?" He panicked and turned around. The blazing fire was near the trees and the outer part of the bunker door was being kissed by the flames.

Cody dropped Aud's hand and ran into the flames. "Find Harley!" He ran into the mostly underground building and grabbed the intercom "There is a fire at the front door. EVERYONE OUT NOW! Harley if you are in here I need your help NOW!"

Cody ran into the cafeteria and ushered the now panicked occupants out and then he headed into the depths of the building looking for the others.

The moment Nina noticed the fire, she could 'feel' the plant's fear of it which left her a bit in fear of moving. Kai was sleep in his room until he smelled the smoke. Turning in his cot, he mumbled Man...some one can't cook worth shit... He opened his eyes at the fumes that was building. He ignored it for a moment and closed his eyes. When his mind finally marinated on the fact that there was heavy smoke, his eyes widen WHOA!! he said and came out. There was definitely fire as he looked around hearing the announcement Maaaaaan, Jae, if you're the cause of this, your control sucks! Kai said rushing and called out to anyone else that could still be in the bunker.

He looked around until noticing Nina holding the plant trying to protect it. Nina! what the hell? We need to get out of here! Didn't you hear the announcement!? Yes but...what if my plant gets burned? I can't risk that. Kai rushed to her to grab her hand Nina.....fuck the plant and let's get out of here. We can get more plants outside! Kai said pulling Nina to get out. Have you seen anyone else in here? He asked her. Nina shook her head reluctantly following Kai. Rushing to the door of the bunker, he went to open it and to try and dodge the fire but Nina shrieked from the blazes she was witnessing and backed away. Kai, I can't! The plant and I will get burned! You're really going to burn if you don't get the fuck out of here!

Grayson awoke from his groggy nap to the sounds of a voice echoing through the bunker. His constant Astral phasing had apparently come at the high price of him being utterly exhausted in every form. He hoped that would fade in time though.

Grayson vaguely registered the concerned tone of the voice, however his drowsiness pushed it to the back of his mind.

The man slowly stood and pulled on a shirt, looking around his room with bleary eyes as he moved forward and grabbed a water bottle, taking a deep swig before putting it back down. The water tasted dusty and thick, almost like it had been out uncovered for weeks. After gargling some of it, the taste faded, which Grayson hoped was his mouth properly working and not just him getting used to bad water.

Excited voices echoed from outside of his room, and a brief sense of curiosity arose. As he searched for his pants, he pondered what could possibly be happening to draw that much attention. Maybe they were heading to dinner, or perhaps one of the more powerful members of the bunker was showing off their powers.

Grayson finally located his clothes, bending over to grab them out from under his bed. Just as he stood up, a scream rang through the halls, instantly spurring him into action.

Grayson burst out of his room to see a stream of power heading towards the main entrance. Small curls of smoke licked the ceilings, hinting at the first scene near the doors.

The Astral projector made his way with the last couple of stragglers through the halls. "What the hell is going on?"

The girl, probably no older than eighteen, glanced over her shoulder at Grayson as she kept jogging. "Big fire at the doors! We gotta get out!"

Grayson's stomach turned a little at the though of more ashe and fiery destruction. He picked up his pace, sprinting with the other two people until they reached the doors. The fire had already flared up close to the door, however there was still an escape path.

"Everyone, get out!" Grayson motioned for the girl and her companion to leave first, helping guide them away from the fire. He soon followed suit, making his way well away from the flames.

Sounds of commotion came from over a ridge near Grayson, however he ignored it as his body hit the ground, his Astral form diving into the earth until it re-emerged inside then bunker.

He immediately started directing people towards the doors. They were startled to see a purple ghost phasing through the walls, however they took his commands without question.

Finally, Grayson's Astral form reached the doors to see two people, one of them perhaps named Kai, arguing at the door. The girl held a plant, and she seemed reluctant to risk it.

"Hey, guys!" Gray shouted, floating behind them. "You gotta get out of here before the flames block the exit! Let's move it!"

Ben the Fighter

Ben's apologetic grin at Audrianna being embarrassed by his comment was not exactly advertised. He was about to voice that he was sorry, when he noticed the Bunker was indeed very much on fire. He pointed at it in the background. "Um..." just as Jae noticed it out of the corner of his eye.

"Shit, yeah," Ben said, getting up and running over to it as quickly as he could. Even without enhancing his muscles, he wasn't a slow runner thanks to his long legs, and his time playing soccer growing up. He skidded to a stop in front of the Bunker, feeling the heat from here even. Good thing the Bunker was stone, though...there was plenty of flammable things IN it. "Is there a water source nearby!?" he called to them. He doubted even he had the strength to throw enough dirt on it to keep the flames down. Even so, that'd just cover their home in dirt!

Kai continued to try to talk Nina in to getting out before the flames became worse. He tried nudging her to leave and she wasn't trying to budge while holding the plant Kai, someone needs to get the flames handled. I can't risk this.... Kai was obviously getting aggravated Nina...if I need to pick your ass up and carry you out of here, I will. COME ON! he said reaching for her again while moved away from him.

This was when both heard Grayson calling out, Kai and Nina looked over. With wide eyes, Kai looked on What th- bro are you a phantom or somethin'? Kai never actually seen Grayson's power yet until now. Kai shook his head and turned to Nina See! we need to leave Nina! he said as she was still unsure Kai I know but... Kai gave a sigh one last time Gray, make sure you get out too... forcefully picking Nina up, he rushed out while she screamed and went through the entrance to get out safely.

Even when Ben and Cody rushed towards the bunker, Audrianna stayed with Jae, her mind seeing what the others failed to see in their panic. She stopped Jae from running over like the two men did.

"Why are you stopping me for? We have to hurry and help people out. I mean, fire. People. Supplies. Home," he enumerated, his eyes narrowing when Audrianna kept blocking his way.

"I need you to calm down and listen to me," Audrianna instructed in a calm voice.

"I am listening to you. I will be listening to you even as we're helping out everyone," he managed to slip past her but was stopped short when the blonde caught him by the back of his shirt.

"Jae Park!"

Jae cringed. The way Audrianna said his name sounded like his mother when she had caught him cutting class. "Ugh. Okay, okay, you win. I'll listen and then we should..." he pointed urgently to the bunker. "Obviously," he finished. Why the hell were they staying put anyway? Was Audrianna afraid of flames? She can make a force fields for goodness sake!

"Listen. Listen," she started and waited for Jae to look her in the eye. When he did, she continued. "You generate fire. You ARE fire. I think it's safe to assume that you can throw fire as well as---"

Jae's face lit up with the realization. "Absorb fire," he finished. "You're a genius, Aud. I can just absorb all of it... I... wait... How do I do that?"

This time, instead of blocking his way, Audrianna pushed Jae towards the bunker. "I don't know. I'm not the one with the power. Just...just will it into you, I guess?"

"Okay, okay, I'll do my best," he said and broke into a run, Audrianna a few steps behind him. As soon as they were near the bunker doors, Jae ignored the commotion and the people trying to get out and focused his attention on the flames that was fast growing. Feeling a little foolish, he extended his hand towards it. How the hell do I will flames into me. I---Oh," he raised an eyebrow as the flames began curling towards him, flickering and reaching for his hand. Huh. Whaddya know? I guess that's how. As the flame enveloped his hand, Jae felt a rush and suddenly it was easy. He imagined him self grabbing onto a rope made of flames and kept pulling. Inch by inch, feet by feet, mile by mile...

Audrianna stopped a few feet away from Jae, watching as her young friend pulled the flames onto and into him. Soon, he had turned himself into a living torch once more. "Wow. I guess I was right..."

It took Jae a while to take all the fire into himself. Once done, he stood there, his whole blazing brightly in the night and exuding a ridiculous amount of heat. He looked back towards Audrianna. "I better not run out of clothes to wear..." he said in an almost dismayed tone.

Where the hell is Harley? And who the hell are these guys? The commander thought to himself as a burnt cinder glowed while the beam it was holding shifted and he ducked the punch that was coming at his face. He landed a solid hit in the attackers throat. The smoke was thick and he coughed hard as the other man went down. He noticed his tattered clothing and that he was very dirty and thin. Survivors from the other bunkers? Maybe? He headed back out of the room and stopped and grabbed the guy and tossed him over his shoulder. He couldn't question him if he was dead from smoke inhalation. He ran by the cafeteria and whistled. "Ryder! Come here boy!"

The boxer ran towards Cody and stayed with him and he whined when he got outside and didn't see his mistress. Cody looked up at the group outside and most had gotten out and others were still straggling out of the bunker. Cody threw the man he was carrying on the ground and wiped the hair out of his eyes. Pulling it back out of his face he secured it. Standing over him he said "Who are you, where did you come from, and why did you attack us?" He looked up at the upset dog and called him over. "Ryder, hold him down." The boxer wrapped his jaws around the man's throat. "I don't even have to kill you. If you lie to me I'll have him do it for me."

The man on the ground could not take his eyes off of the dog as it's teeth seemed to tighten around his throat. He struggled to breathe and gurgled and Cody had the dog let go a moment.

The man took several deep and painful breaths before answering. "We needed supplies and knew you would not likely give them up." The man refused to say anything else.

Cody glared at him with true anger vibrating through him. "Where is the woman you took? The one who has water..." Cody left the question a little vague and open ended since he didn't know if they had powers or not although it didn't look like this guy did.

Oddly the man tried to laugh and it sounded more painful than like laughter. "We did not take her she came to us!"

Cody yanked him up by the hair. "Where?" He demanded roughly. The man turned his head in the correct direction and he groaned when Cody dropped him and yelled "I'm going after Harley." One of the others pulled the guy up and tied his hands behind his back.

There were a few others still fighting and Cody went over to Audrianna and Jae. One of his soldiers was nearby and he waved him over. "Audrianna? I need you to stay here where I know you are safe. Use your powers and stay safe, please." He looked up at Jae and nodded to him. "Jae, if you want to stay with Aud that is fine. If you want to come with me keep up." He nodded and those not fighting took up guard and were trying to keep the bunker from collapsing from the damage. Cody gave Aud a peck on the cheek and he turned and ran into the forest.

Seeing the terror in the two remaining men’s eyes Trinity relented and said Alright you two go fetch your friend before he drowns and try anything and we’ll discover if a man can fly if you throw him high enough

The two men cowed by her demonstration of power comply with her orders which allows her time to find Lex and underwear the latter she puts on and said I guess this is a wet blanket on a quiet night and we should head to the bunker carefully in case this was a coordinated attack; don’t want to blunder into an ambush.

But first we lock these guys in one of the containers so we can ask them what they were up to slinking around.

She slides into her sports bra and performs adjustments then finds the rifles the men were armed with and is disappointed when she finds out that she damaged the best of the lot. The two prisoners who have now picked up their comrade look at her then their friend and she can see they are honestly concerned for him.

Bring him over to the bank so I can look at him she tells them and is soon checking him out and notices his right temple is swollen by a growing bruise.

I guess he has a concussion but at the moment all we can do is try and see he doesn’t go into shock before we can get our healer to see to him. she tells the men before asking them straight out Now if we are heading into an ambush we might get killed or detained too long before we can get back with the healer so if you two want him to live tell me can we expect any surprises on the way to our bunker?

Harley woke up slowly and kept her eyes shut a moment. She could hear the flames of a fire and the scraping of rocks against the rock walls. Her head hurt. She had been hit over the head and her hands were tied behind her back. When her eyes opened she almost screamed. Instead she froze in fear. There was a snake right in front of her about a foot from her face. Harley felt the breath in her lungs stop moving and she couldn't even think to work on her bindings. After watching it slither into a crevice in the wall of the cave she felt the air rush back into her lungs. Panicked she hurriedly sat up and started to wiggle her hands in her bindings while looking for more snakes.

There was a lot of fighting going on outside and she needed to get away. She had no idea who these people were but she knew they needed help. They appeared underweight and some were sickly. None of them appeared to have powers. That made her feel more scared and she wondered why they were attacking the bunker at night instead of in the early morning. She could feel the bindings cutting into the soft flesh of her wrists as she worked at them loosening them enough to eventually get her hand free. From there it was easy to free her other hand. She tied the rope through the loop on her jeans and got to her feet.

Harley couldn't help but jump when she saw the woman at the entrance of the cave putting a bucket of brownish water into a large barrel. The woman apparently didn't see her until Harley got close to her. Then the woman watched her as Harley realized that they were drinking the brownish water. She walked over and gave the barrel a huge shove and knocked it over spilling the water out of the cave entrance. The woman jumped at Harley drawing a knife out and swiping it at her. "Wait! Wait I can help you!"

The woman hesitated and eyed her. "How do you intend to help us? What can you do to help us?" She asked with venom dripping from her words. Harley grabbed the barrel up and righted it.

Putting her hands over it she started filling it with water. "This. I can give you fresh water." The woman nearly fell backwards over her own feet trying to get back. Fear and shock were plastered on her face as she watched Harley fill the barrel with sparkling clean water that she appeared to have flowing out of her hands.

When Harley was done she nodded to the woman. "Can you help me get home?"

Thinking that Harley was some kind of witch or alien being she shrunk against the wall and yelled. "Go! Just Go!"

Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth she ran out into the fighting and ducked behind a tree. There appeared to be more than just one group here fighting and she didn't see any of her people here. In the dark Harley wasn't sure which way would lead her home so she took a left and decided to wing it til morning. She followed the smoke in the distance and hoped it wasn't her bunker that was burning. After a while it appeared that the fire had been put out.

She was wandering through the woods wondering what she was going to do about the mess she had made. In less than twenty four hours she had made out with Grayson, whom she had liked for almost a year now, and she had told Mikey she would stay with him. She knew he liked her and he considered her his new girlfriend and she had had a crush on him before all of this had happened but Mikey had never even kissed her.

She was so focused on her totally confused love life that had come out of nowhere, that she didn't see the ravine had widened and she was currently stepping through the underbrush and there was nothing on the other side of it but a drop that was at least 50 feet. She didn't see it in the dark until she was falling. She had forgotten about her powers until she was thrust upwards by the waves. Her heart was pounding so hard she thought she might die of fright. Once she was back on the ground her legs gave way and she sat down for a moment and leaned against a tree weary and exhausted.

It took only a few moments for the second attacker to pass out. Jake quickly looked to the man he had just saved and motioned as if he was waiting for an answer. "They came out of no where. Attacking anyone they saw and lighting everything they got close to on fire. You have to help." Jake motioned for the man to follow him. Jake peeked through the trees just as Commander Cody ran off into the woods.

He could tell this wasn't over so he'd have to wait later to get answers. The first thing Jake did was ask if they were certain everyone got out of the bunker. Since no one could give a definitive answer Jake took action no matter how small it was, "Grayson, I need your help. We gotta make sure everyone got out. The rest of you if you can safely go inside then come on. If not cover us." With that Jake quickly rushed into the bunker and began systematically searching it.

Ben the Fighter

It looked liked Ben didn't need to do too much. Jae seemed to be the biggest problem as well as solution the bunker had seen so far. All of the flames had just whisked away and got sucked up into Jae like he was some new Korean vacuum that had just been shipped out west. "Well boy howdy." Ben exclaimed. He wasn't really (that) southern, but he'd been an avid fan of the show Lost and was pretty much saying what the Sawyer character would do in that situation.

He blinked and his eyes widened when he saw the cutest Boxer and the Commander with a hostage drag outside. He then thought that was the cutest dangerous animal he had ever seen. He'd trained dogs for awhile, and always loved them. He had never seen this Boxer before though!

"I'll go with you," Ben said to Cody. He clenched his fist, and hoped the dog would come too. It was time to save the lovely lady!

Audrianna wanted to argue with Cody. What can she do to help the people in the bunker? Cook them food? For the first time, she thought she can be of help somewhere else and not just the task she was assigned. But before she could say anything, Cody ran off. She looked to Jae, who was still blazing like a bonfire.

"The Commander told you to stay behind," the Korean boy warned, familiar with the determined look in the blonde's eyes.

"And what? Cook for everyone? Come on, JJ. You know what I can do. You know I'd be more useful fighting." Audrianna reasoned out automatically.

"You're so gonna get me in trouble. The Commander's gonna roast my ass when we get back," Jae shook his head.

Audrianna grinned, knowing that she had won the argument. "He can't roast you. You're already burning."

"Oh, haha. Funny. Remind me to remember that joke," Jae replied a little dryly. He gave Audrianna one last imploring look for her to stay behind. When she shook her head, he sighed and turned his attention towards Ben instead. "Well, I guess this is the team. Let's go." And with that, he took off into the air as if flying was second nature to him.

Audrianna looked up. "Well, I guess he's gotten used to it..." She looked towards the direction Cody ran off to and followed after him. "Come on, Ben, let's catch up."

Grayson's astral form drifted vaguely through the battlefield, shocked by the violence. Bodies lay on the ground, unmoving; Gray was uncertain if they were alive or dead. After a brief moment, a familiar voice shook him out of his stupor.

"Grayson, I need your help. We gotta make sure everyone got out. The rest of you if you can safely go inside then come on. If not cover us." Jake's voice was strong and prominent, commanding Gray's attention. The Astral immediately focused and honed into the current situation, nodding his head.

"I can't stay outside of my body for much longer, I'm going to suffocate." Grayson growled in frustration at the limits of his powers and bolted away, flying straight through a hill and emerging from the ground to remeld with his body. Pain shot through his lungs as the smoke invaded his lungs, choking him. The fire had reached within a few feet of him, spurring the man into action.

A coughing spasm overwhelmed Gray as he turned on his side, wheezing heavily. He struggled to his feet and half walked, half crawled to higher ground, collapsing for a moment to rest. After about a minute, he looked up to see the silhouette of a man standing over him, wielding some form of blunt weapon.

The man swung down with harsh force, narrowly missing as Gray rolled to the side, tumbling down the steep side of the hill and into a small ditch with dense shrubbery. The unknown assailant pursued him, sprinting down the hill towards Gray.

By the time the attacker had reached Gray, he had gotten to his feet, easily stepping under the barbarian's swing and catching him by the leg. Grayson's right arm when between his legs and his left arm wrapped around it, hoisting the man over his shoulders in a single motion. The club flew away from the pair as Grayson whirled around and stomped at the man, attempting to immobilize him. The assailant caught Gray's leg and dragged him towards him, easily flipping him on his back.

Grayson was by no means a light man, however the hulk of a man he faced threw him around like a rag doll. The wind exited his lungs as the man slammed him onto the ground, pulling out a knife and descending on his prey. In a moment of desperation, Gray kicked upwards, catching the knife with his right calf and sending a purple energy wave outwards, knocking the man airborne and across the shrubbery.

Gray's attacker hit the ground with an audible, sickening crunch, remaining motionless on the ground. Gray struggled to breathe as he winced in pain, glancing down at the gash wound across his lower leg. The thought that he had possibly killed a man didn't even cross his mind as he struggled away from the shrubbery, climbing the hill to escape the scene.

A few of the bunkermates found Gray struggling up the hill and came to his aid, helping him to his feet and pushing themselves to carry the man. Grayson thanked them and collapsed to the ground, looking at them with stern seriousness. "Don't ask why, but protect my body. Don't let anyone harm it." They exchanged a look of confusion, however Gray ignored them, rolling his eyes into the back of his head and allowing his Astral form to leave his body.

Gray plunged through the earth and into the bunker, searching for other people in the fiery rooms. As he searched, the purple energy he had produced to harm his assailant repeatedly ran through his mind, thrilling his with the thought that he had more powers.

Kwan was in sight of the bunker moments after she’d left the site of her ambush and she didn’t slow as she zoomed through combat zone disarming anyone she didn’t recognize or who was fighting someone she did recognize. She didn’t waste time scuffling with anyone who had abilities in her first pass as she remembered her lessons in combat tactics.

“When encountering a superior force in numbers cut off the weakest limbs first then strike at it’s heart as it seeks to compensate its loss” was what Uncle Monkey had taught her and it was lucky for those who had attacked her base that she was a compassionate as well because of his teaching. She didn’t take a single life of her foes stunning them with precision nerve strikes that while painful did little if any permanent damage. Then she turned on one of the powered types attacking them from behind using probing strikes to discern whether or not they had any resistance to her fighting skills so when then began to surrender wholesale she was actually pleased that she didn’t need to hurt anyone else.

She didn’t simply stop where she was when she realized they were giving up instead choosing to move to Trinity’s stack of containers where she could use their height as an observation platform.
