Vladimir Alexandrov

Location: Gretna Green, Church
Skills: Fal'shbort (Passive), Tretiy Glaz (Passive), English

The strangeness of the day continued. On an up note, the ferret was okay. It was strange to think about, but the ferret coming out of all this safe and sound really did elevate Vladimir's spirits in ways most imperceptible to others but highly impactful for the ordinarily very open performer. Perhaps it was everything else going on that prevented additional commentary on the subject of the Dieter. Maybe it was the flower, or the haunting voice in the air. Perhaps the stillness of the air which accompanied this next potential development, holding its big pregnant pause as if it would drop an event-baby so massive the doctor would have to get a running start to slap its ass. But then Vlad looked to Veta, and to Virginia, who had already joined hands. He had no idea what they were on about or what was going to happen, but something, something, was. Something potentially permanent. Oh, what little piece of adventure remained to them today?

Virginia handed off the control of her holdings to the lady they had just rescued. Well, good on her. It had a nice round bit of finality to it, kind of. Of course now, it looked very much like the big quest to save Millicent that had claimed lives already, good, decent, strong people who had done much for their fellow Soulled, was a footnote. Not that they had died for nothing, had they? Would their presence or absence have changed anything between the woman and Rutherford? The battle in the Church? Maybe it was for nothing, or merely incidental. Maybe it was to get this set of circumstances together, for whatever good or ill it would cause. But destiny had provided this opportunity for ...whatever the hell was happening, and he'd be damned if he was going to suddenly be the Voice of Reason and stop it. This was just too damned good.

"Circus... vill do fine vithout Great Bazhooli. If ve fall, or if time and distance prevent return of Great Bazhooli, another vill be tapped. Baron Alexandrov vill still run things, sons vill carry line, and there vill alvays be Great Bazhooli." Such a feeling of permanence here, as if operating with the hint of something massive to come. It wasn't everyday that a spectral voice hints at something cryptic and one's sovereign makes an odd request of you in a ritualized fashion while a super rare flower blossoms and wilts in the space of seconds.

Vladimir strode over to Elizaveta and took her hand. He gave a hard flourish with his open hand and snapped his fingers, a handsbreadth of blade sliding upwards from his fingers in the process which he then tapped on the brim of his very fine, very tall hat. A giddy but dark smile began to form on his face and he nodded in the direction of Veta, and then Virginia. This was it. "Ladies & Gentlemen, Madames & Sirs, Ladies & Lords alike, am thanking you for time and appreciation." He chuckled a little, a grave and sinister sound if ever there was one, inflected by decades of practice to build dramatic tension upon a moment, "Final Trick for viewing enjoyment, to vhisper about to friends, childrens, and any persons you vish to give envy, Great Bazhooli presents to you: Gologramma." If this was the end, it was best to go with style.

Gretna Green (Church): Millicent looked confused as Veta spoke. "Again? I don't know about the rest of you but I would do very well never having to do any of this again," she said as she looked around. The last thing she wanted to do was to have to repeat what they all just went through. If she could get through the rest of her life without ever seeing another dark beast that smelled of brimstone. Then Virginia's words made her stop. "What?" was all she could muster to say. She heard and understand the words but the why was probably a better question. Millicent felt she was in the same boat as Meave, she hadn't a clue what was going on.

Ny just chuckled and took a seat. "Oh my, yes, yes, let us see what happens!" he said as he pulled out his journal and started writing again, he wanted to get this all down. Seemed those touched with a bit of madness knew what was going on. William seemed to be readying himself for something. (Note, during switch over, fighting skills can only be used in actual actions, not prepping for action. That takes things like alertness to pick up on things.) Dieter, the ferret not the brother, seemed to be looking around at what was going on but he was fine with Constantin being his care taker for now.

"I do not know if I wish to know what is about to transpire..." Millicent said as she looked at the Circus folk and her dearest friend before glancing towards Maeve and Colette.

Veta smiled over towards Virginia as she took her hand, squeezing it gently in the process. Looking over towards Constantin she still held the simple smile. "Stand guard, as alvays," she said with a soft nod. Turning her head she took Vlads hand as well. Now, what Veta was going for was hoping that bridging together the families that Vlad would be able to show her and Virginia what he had seen. Maybe between that, and other skills they would be able to find out some valuable information and more importantly a destination to go to from here.

Thing was... It didn't work. But it backfired so horribly that while the two women got a glimpse of what Vlad had seen when he attempted this before, so did Constantine and William. The five of them got more than a glance. They felt it, they saw it first hand, and the world around them started to fade away. It was like closing ones eyes and going straight into a dream. They weren't the only ones affected either. Millicent, Colette, Maeve, and Ny didn't see anything that the others were but they did see something. As they looked at each other, they started to fade away. Starting slowly at the hands and the edges of their bodies and quickly worked inwards until they were gone. Millicents eyes widened, she seemed to try to say something but her body was gone before she could utter a word. Ny just kept writing as his body faded away.

For the five, they saw rolling fields of dust and desolation, rivers of darkness, and then a building. A lone standing barren structure. And then they were in it.

At this point, DttS is now fully merged over to T.S. - please make your next posts there. I will be updating the lists shortly. ^_^ Colette, and Maeve have 1 last post in this RP - their fade out. Up to you two to wrap it up. ^^

Maeve Brennan

Location: Gretna Green - Church
Skills: N/A

At the very least, she was not alone in her confusion - Colette was similarly kept in the dark with all of this. It reeked to high heavens of some sort of odd pagan ritual and she had been willing to hold her tongue, until one of the participants revealed that this was... a Circus act?! Had everything they had been experiencing part of some dark and demented show? "What, yer think this is funny?!" she snapped at Bazhooli, not caring for decorum at the moment. "Wus any av dis rayle, yer swindler?" Had these people summoned that.... that thing?! The Irishwoman was about to continue to give them a piece of her mind, this time drawing on some more colorful swear words, when the hoax was taken up to another level.

Colette was vanishing. So was Millicent and the batty man with the journal. And then, as Maeve glanced down at her hands, so was she. "Jasus bleedin Chroist, whatever de 'ell is doin' dis can suk a cock!" she shouted. Her lips continued to move but no sound was coming out and that was probably for the best. The type of words Maeve was using in her final moments were certainly not meant for polite company. Whatever was happening to them, she was certain that those pagan charlatans were causing it and if she was about to go, she might as well die running her mouth. And within moments, Maeve had faded away into nothingness, the last thoughts on her mind a mixture of rage and a quiet prayer for the wellbeing of her daughter, Roisin.

Colette de La Fontaine

Location: Gretna Green - Church
Skills: Language -English

Colette had grown concerned, but at the same time she knew that there were capable women here, ready to face whatever transpired. She was not filled with confidence, however, with the men there. The man who kept referring to himself by his own name was one of those she was worried about. His antics were questionable, but that was the least of her concerns.

Soon, things grew hazy and dense. She looked around the room to spot the others slowly vanishing. No, wait. It was her! It was all of them! She looked down to see her slowly disappear! Panic began to swell in her throat. What did this mean? Was this part of their magic? ”What magic is this?” she asked, or begged. She did not want to go. The others appeared to share her feelings on the matter, especially Maeve.

She looked over to Millicent lastly. The one she came here to save and now could do nothing to help. Had she failed in her task? To some, perhaps not. After all Lord Rutherford had perished. But now where were they going? Could it be said that wherever they were disappearing to was worse than what is here now? Colette closed her eyes as she finally accepted it. Resolved, she had vanished along with the others, nothing left behind but her last words. ”Adieu.”
