Jeanette or Mosi as she preferred to be called is a very opened up person. She’s frank about what she’s thinking and basically almost never lies. She believes lying is not a good thing to do under nearly every circumstance. The greatest of virtues she considers is helping those who seek aid or come under conditions that require aid around her.
Beside those traits, she’s also quite relaxed and laidback person. She is hard to anger and prefers to enjoy her time as much as she can. In short she LOVES to fool around and just have fun. She loves visiting pubs, riding horses fast without regard of what others think about her, hunting, training, smoking pipe. All those behavior traits lead to her most notable one – the fact that she detest sociality’s norms and limitations. She despises to be told how to dress, where to go and how to speak. In the end she simply does what she feels like doing and no amount of gossips and bad rep will stop her for she basically cares not what the general public things of her!

Family History: Minimal of 2 detailed paragraphs about your families history. (Mother, father, siblings, relatives, events that brought them to the status they currently are, etc.)
Jeanette was born into the Crane family to William and Clarice Crane. She was the eldest of 4 children afterwards with her twin sisters being born a year later and her younger brother 3 years afterwards. Her family belongs to the Gentry with her father being a iron mines and factory owner. Originally not as wealthy as present and nearly falling into huge debt as the factory was not bringing in profit, her father with his excellent business sense managed to stabilize the family finances and later even build on top of them, getting the family quite wealthy in the process.
It was soon after that he married his wife who hailed from a Gentry family also. She was a rather ambitious young woman from a family lower on the class system from the Crane family. Also being the typical woman of the time period she preferred the traditions and was highly against sending her oldest daughter off to the colonies to training as per her words – “A woman should learn how to run a household properly and not fool around playing ‘fighter’ in a foreign country!” Needles to say it was not her choice in the matter and Jeanette was eventually send over to the colonies at the age of 8. After her departure the family’s situation continued to be rather stable, though her mother had started to plan the marriages of convenience for her and her younger sisters.
Your personal life: Minimal of 3 detailed paragraphs about your characters life up until this point.
Jeanette was a bright and energetic child since the day she was born. From an early age she showed keen mind and rather good amount of wisdom for her age. She was also always up and running and playing around with her younger brother. She was a little bit of a daredevil, but non the less she was still an educated young girl who was nicely growing up, being taught the society’s written and unwritten etiquette. She showed very good wisdom and constitution when she was tested and it was decided she’d go to the colonies to train.
Despite her mother’s objections on the matter, Jeanette was sent off to the colonies along with her father who escorted her there. It was an uneventful journey, but one she enjoyed quite a lot without the constant reprimands from her tutors and mother about how she should act.
The day they arrived on the new world, she at first found it quite strange and alien, but with the childish adaptability quickly found herself quite liking it, with it being so different from the gloomy London where she grew up till now. Non the less the arrangements were made with where she should stay and with whom she should learn, but an unexpected event occurred the very same day her father left port with the ship to head over back to the Old World. Mere hours after her father departed due incredibly back luck, Jeanette was shot in the head when 2 drunken men got into an argument and shots were fired. She simply was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
By what seemed like a miracle, the girl did survive, but her mind after she woke up was a mess. Most of her memories were gone and she suffered temporary aftereffects like headaches. With time her condition improved drastically as she no longer got headaches and her memories started to return to a point though incredibly fractured and messy. A message about the accident was sent to her family, but because of bad luck, the ship got into a storm and was sunk near the coasts of Spain. Almost half of the crew survived, but the letter was lost.
Her father came to check on her the very next year, but by this point she had already healed. He was shocked and very furious about the event, but nothing could be done anymore. She had survived and that’s what was important to him. Still after a brief meeting with his daughter he realized she was not the same anymore. She still retained her energetic nature and her mind mostly worked the same, but Jeanette barely recognized him. There was also the way she had started dressing, talking and acting as one of the locals. Still she seemed happy and he didn’t want to destroy her happiness at the moment. Hoping that this was just a temporary thing, he returned home.
Eventually the years passed and she grew up into a young woman. Finally it was time to return back home, but at first she didn’t really want to. Her real family was with the people who raised her over on the New World. She had even taken up the name Mosi which translated into Cat, a name given to her because of her mannerism as she grew up. Her family was awaiting for her at the port when she arrived. Her mother fell unconscious out of shock and embarrassment when her daughter walked down from the ship dressed in a buffalo robe.
After that incident the family quickly urged(pushes/rushed) Jeanette into the carriage and they quickly headed towards their estate in London. That happened when she was 21. Since that day 4 years ago, the entire Crane family feverishly tries to keep Jeanette or Mosi as she now prefers to be called even by them, basically under lock at their estate. Frankly though it appears problematically hard as she appears to escape from the windows and scale down the walls.
What you want for your life: Minimal of 1 detailed paragraph about your characters life goals. (This is beyond just surviving and not becoming part of the Soulless. Marriage? Family? Independence?)
What Jeanette wants most in her life is to return to the New World and live with her ‘real’ family over there, but she also feels a strange attraction that keeps her in London. Thus she now simply wants to lead a true life! A life she will not regret nor be ashamed of!
Character Quote(s): “Always do right by your neightbor and by your conscience.”
“What’s the point of living… if you aren’t going to enjoy life’s gifts?”
“Why care what others think? You have a mind, don’t you? Is your mind not worth as much as others’?”
