  • Serious, for the most part, but that’s primarily attributed to the events that have transpired in her life as of late. She can just as easily become the social butterfly around a group of individuals if the mood fits. Amelia has somewhat of a short temper when things don’t go as planned, although she’s been working on her attitude as picking a fight with the wrong person can get one seriously injured or killed.
    
    Amelia doesn’t necessarily have a preference whether she’s alone or with a group of people. She realizes that there are advantages and disadvantages to both. Her best attribute is her ability to keep a secret. People can always trust her with their information unless it’s putting someone else at risk, then she will tell whomever necessary.

  • Born and raised in Cuba to a surgeon and pediatrician, Amelia never had to worry much about a decent upbringing. She started learning English while in Kindergarten, and a few years later she had nearly perfected the language. When she turned 12, her parents moved the family to Spain to start over, so to speak. They were met there by a cousin who helped them out until they were able to settle down.
    
    Amelia continued studying English while living in Spain. She loved the language and ultimately, she planned on becoming a writer or maybe a university professor down the line. On occasion, her parents traveled throughout Europe for work, leaving the girl alone at home during her teenage years. She never minded the privacy, but would periodically get herself in trouble and would later be reprimanded by her parents upon their return.
    
    Because her parents’ last trip was to Germany, they obviously never made it back. It took nearly half a year since Amelia last heard from them before she initiated her search. Shortly after her arrival, she heard the unfortunate news of their passing. This nearly made the young woman grab a gun and pull the trigger on herself, but she realized that’s the last thing her parents would have wanted for her so instead, she stuck around to be near them “in spirit”. Amelia would visit her parents’ grave on a daily basis, but as time passed, she visited every other day, concentrating more on her role as messenger.
    
    Currently, Amelia keeps herself busy delivering messages and certain contraband in exchange for money.

Some materials absorb more radiation than others. Characters would be carrying gas masks mainly for the dust-storms kicked up by the wind in higher areas, but on the fringes of the Circle, especially where hills and mountains block the winds, it's not so bad. Whether you actually get fried or not will depend on carrying a Geiger counter and staying away from concrete, soil, scrap metal, and other areas and materials which were directly exposed. How bad the radiation is really depends on the character's skill level in avoiding it.

Being a hideous mutant underneath the gas mask would definitely give you bonus points for anti-Mary Suedom, if you decided to do that!
