[OOC] Mobile Suit Gundam: Throne of the False King

20 years before the start of our story

The planet Kistrata an earth colony founded in the year 3500 has led a prosperous existence lead by their King Alain Collins into the greatest times over the following centuries. The Collins family led the planet for centuries before one night someone staged a coup. Merrik Hathaway, best friend to the current King, Kent Collins, for many years before turning on him one night. This night while the Kings wife Queen Maria was about to go into labor any day now. The King and Queen ran from their castle and watched as the statues of their family and all memory of their existence was burned and destroyed. Merrik wanted nothing more than to take everything from Kent, Kent had married the woman that Merrik had loved since childhood and hated the both of them for it. But what Merrik didn't know is that the King and Queen had body doubles and had kept her pregnancy a secret from the world. The queen gave birth to a young boy, and 4 other children as time went on, before passing away during the birth of the fifth child. Kent raised the children on his own blending into society and living in secret until now.

Now 20 years after the fall of the Collins King Merrik has made the world into a militaristic planet mass producing the mobile suits from a weaker material due to only the king of each generation knowing where to find the Gundanium mines. Before Merrik Gundams were used as symbols of peace and protection and were rarely used in battle though they were capable. Kent now lying on his deathbed calls for his children to come to his side and he tells them all the truth of their heritage as well as the location of the hidden Gundams the people know as the protectors of their planet. He told them how before he left he set a lock on the chamber that would only open when someone with royal blood appeared before it. Now the mission: Find the Gundams, Spark rebellion, Reclaim their throne!

Age: again obvious but no younger than 10 and I would say unless not a part of the main five or given permission no older than 20

Damien Collins

Name: Damien Collins
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Personality: Damien is a fun loving and Honorable guy. Most of the time he will be sarcastic and witty but when its time to get serious he does so in an almost daunting way. Damien can go from laughing to stern in a matter of seconds.
Brief Bio: Damien loved the simple life his family led. School was simple and his dad took the time to teach him how to use a sword or any weapon he could have asked for but the sword was his favorite. Kent had also taken the time to teach his children hand to hand combat when he could though his knowledge was limited. When his mother died during the birth of the last child Damien was heartbroken and for months blamed the young child for their mothers death. This was averted however after a conversation with their father. On the day of Kent’s death and the Revelation that they were the Royal family he had heard of Damien was absolutely stunned to silence. Once the story of the Gundams was told Damien knew they had to go and retrieve them and Reclaim their thrones for the sake of not only their family but the entire planet.

As for the gundam name and number, if I'm amalgaming a few canonical suits together, do I just come up with my own name/number?

As a teaser, my gundam is going to have 20 or so dragoon funnels, it's based off the Providence, Nix Providence, and Legend.

As the eldest daughter, Saturnalia is very maternal, clinging to their mother and learning from her. Saturnalia helped to take care of her younger siblings and completely took over the role when their mother passed away giving birth to her fifth child. She tries to stay strong and to not let her frustration and anxiety pass onto those under her care. Saturnalia is extremely vigilant and compassionate, ever-ready to take care of the needs of her loved ones. She exudes a quiet, calm serenity, hoping to be a pillar of stability in this tumultuous world, though her own heart wavers.

Brief Bio:

Like Damien, Saturnalia enjoyed the ease and comfort of their relatively peaceful life. She was content and excelled at being a civilian, earning high scores at school, and becoming something of a minor celebrity among her classmates. In her young age, she had learned all she could from their mother, and eventually became the primary caretaker of the household when their mother passed. When it was revealed to her that they were the deposed royal family, she had misgivings and viewed their mission with apprehension. She preferred the current, tenuous, relative peace to the conflict she knew would arise if she and her siblings took up arms.

Breakdown

This suit is based off the Legend, Providence and Nix Providence. This breakdown is to detail and explain in case the image above is confusing.

It's main body is the Legend:

But it's waist/hip region is the Providence's, which can hold more dragoons on the hips (this is not shown in the above image):


And it carries two of Nix's shoulder packs, one on each shoulder:

The reason I'm going into so much detail is because next Fall, when I visit Taiwan on vacation, I'm gonna see about buying myself two Nix's to go with my Legend and recreate this Gundam.

The Legion carries two telescoping beam spears in leg holsters:

It has 4 large dragoon pods, 1 stored on each shoulder pack, 2 stored on the backpack. Each pod has 4 x beam spikes and 5 x assault beam machine guns.

It has 16 small dragoon pods, 6 stored on backpack, 2 stored on each shoulder pack, 2 stored on each side-hip armor, 2 stored on the rear waist armor. Each pod has 2 assault beam machine guns.
It has shield generators on the back of each hand, and on each shoulder pack.

@Suku @MacDuffy To answer all of your questions. Yes you can create new ones if you so desire but lets say run them by me before you set it in stone. As for MacDuffy's question I would prefer it be that way but As I'm thinking we do need people to help fill out the enemy faction AKA the kings main helpers (Cooler name in the works) So if you wanted you could absolutely make a character for that group there. keep in mind if creating more than one character please limit yourself to 3 max if you can handle that.

Pretty sure I can answer this one:

As for the Gundams I wanted to have them be unique so as far as the customization goes run wild just dont make them super over powered. Like I'm talkin Absorb system to power a trans-am system levels of Over Powered.

I can't answer this question, but if I were to hazard a guess, if your character will be one of the Collins siblings, then their suit probably has to be either a Gundam, or at least not a generic grunt suit. But if your character is not a Collins, then it might be more open, ie. your character cold be in the military as a Zaku pilot who turned traitor to join the Collins, or a rebel who commandeered an enemy Zaku. But the GM will have to confirm or deny this statement.

What if a character was, say, an adopted member of the Collins family? Someone who wasn't actually of the Royal Bloodline, and couldn't unlock a Gundam? Would that be feasible?

A perfect example of a product of the environment Fie is straight forward and to the point to a fault. It is often due to how blunt she is that she can come across rude. Though despite thise she holds quite a large sarcastic streak. Though she means well and is more than capable of being nice to others it is often hidden behind her blunt and often sarcastic attitude that makes thing often come up as something different.

Brief Bio:

Fie did not have the ease of comfort and restful homes like most others. Rather she grew up as orphan going from one place to next in search of her next meal. Eventually she was found and taken in by a roving Mercenary band. Being a somewhat caring individual the leader took her in and raised her as his own blood. Though it was due to his career choice that made it where she lacked a true home. So while she was often on a battlefield she enduring the same training as everyone else she learned that she has to earn her lodging and meal. It was due to this life style is overly naive on a common lifestyle and how to blend in with society as a whole. With things as they were she eventually signed up for a new mission one with a zero failure policy.

Well I really had no intentions of adopted siblings and the like however we all have those friends that are so close they basically become family. If you found someone to go along with it or even made a second character that is one of the Collins kids then by all means they can be a friend and rock a Zaku XD

Sorry, I don't mean to be 'that guy', heck, I'm not the GM, not even a co-GM, but I just wanted to make sure.

Originally, all the Collins siblings were intended to be raised in the same household by the deposed king himself (from what I could gather). From what I can see from Fie's bio, she was raised by other people. Is she supposed to be one of the siblings or a more distant relative (like a long-lost cousin)?
