| P H Y S I C A L D E S C R I P T I O N : | Elsie is of the short and lithe variety of people. She has a thin build and has taken good care of herself as to not develop any excessive weight. Her skin is bright, bordering on pale, and looks to be relatively unblemished. Her hair is black with a few spots highlighted with red dye, and her eyes are a pale blue. Her facial proportions are somewhat narrow, but nothing points outward too far, which she feels fortunate about.
Elsie regularly dresses in an array of red, white, and black clothing. Rarely will she wear anything baggy, save for her one-size-too-large dark gray jacket, which she has taken the liberty of spray-painting a white grasshopper emblem on the back of, owing to her nickname.
▼ | P E R S O N A L I T Y : | Elsie is, in a broad term, a free spirit. Happy, creative, adventurous are her words. She is always one to be seen with a smile and an upbeat attitude, conducting some form of entertainment or activity, with or without her power. What negatives there are surrounding her are always kept concealed and rarely shown to others, even those she's known for a while. She is the type who will alternate approaching and being approached, and she always does her best to make and stay on good terms with others.
Generally speaking, Elsie is a good person, or at least hopes that's what others see. She is polite, open to a plethora of ideas, and nigh impossible to properly antagonize. When it comes to metahumans, Elsie firmly believes that they deserve at least a chance to show others that they can operate peacefully in society - and subsequently, if they squander that chance, then they'll get what's coming to them. She herself has done well so far, displaying an acceptable level of responsibility with her teleportation powers, and hopes that good behavior will reward her in the future.
▼ | B A C K S T O R Y : | Elsie was born on the seventeenth of August, 2056, in a town in California. She was part of a family of four, who were relatively well off in terms of class. It was her, her mother Aubrey, her father Kenneth, and her sister Charlotte. Aubrey was a police cadet signed up for anti-meta response, and Kenneth was a high school teacher who had adopted a course in human-meta relations.
For the most part, things were stable early on. But a series of events came to unfold that, to this day, Elsie doesn't enjoy discussing at all. To summarize, her father turned out to be a rather violent metahuman, her mother attempted to kill him, was instead killed herself, and then Elsie's sister killed their father in an act of vengeance. This all took place only months before Elsie developed her teleportation power at the age of fourteen, and was subsequently abandoned by Charlotte. Shortly afterwards, she was found by a representative group of the Promise, and informally inducted into their program.
Elsie has spent the last three years of her life up aboard the Promise, and is now beginning her final academic year there. She, however, continues to express displeasure at the idea of returning to Earth, as she claims there's simply nothing for her there. And she hopes there's some way she can earn a permanent residence aboard the Promise, so that she won't have to leave anytime soon.

▼ | P O W E R D E S C R I P T I O N : | Elsie is capable of long-range teleportation. By focusing her thoughts on a specific location, she can trigger her own atoms, and those of anything-or-one she is physically touching, to nigh-instantaneously disassemble and reassemble from here-to-there. Over the years, she has greatly honed her ability such that she can rapidly pinpoint-jump from spot to spot, and even control which direction she teleports towards when factoring in momentum - falling down and then shooting straight back up, for example.
Elsie has been given an external earpiece by Promise techs that connects her to an OSPS - on-site positioning system. It allows her to teleport anywhere on the Promise without worry of distance or obstructions, meaning she doesn't have to bother taking the trams from biome to biome.
▼ | L I M I T S | W E A K N E S S E S : | Elsie's earpiece is what allows her to cover much longer distances when teleporting. Without it, she is only capable of jumping about a quarter of a mile maximum at a time. And even with her earpiece, she is still prone to intense exhaustion as a result of jumping in rapid succession. Distance doesn't factor into it, but if she jumps more than a couple dozen times with no breaks in between, she'll need a minute to catch her breath. This effect is intensified if she brings other people with her for a jump, more people equaling more pressure.
Elsie has a strange fascination with old Wes Anderson films.
