oh gee. got it! Sorry all that was explained untill it all erased and wiped me out. Do not wprry I am working on it. I am just trying to sort out my thoughts.
Silence, a short skinny teen of few words. Ako usually does things that he's ordered to do over his personal opinions...unless his personal opinions stick true to his own morals. He much rather does action over words and planning, doing things often without others noticing. Another key thing about Ako is despite his Quirk that should be used on the front-lines or such...he gets very easily ignored. Whether it's due to his canniness of getting out of others attention, his physical appearance, or on purpose...he's just flat out ignored most of the time. That and Ako's rough childhood caused him to never thoroughly attend a proper education but at the very least can read, write, and do simple math. His silent personality has never made him many friends...though when he does make friends, those friends are usually people who can somehow provide him a caring and warm meals or people who really enjoy his cooking. Food always gets people close to Ako's heart.
Background:
In his mind, Ako thinks he had a quiet background. His father hit him...a lot. His mother yelled at him...a lot. But there was one benefit from all the constant yelling and beat downs that were laid upon the youngster. Ako never had to say much nor really cared to, and it was good training of sorts to make him tougher. Then again, the child never really figured out he had a Quirk to shield himself in a strange blue aura that somehow raised his defenses as a type of force field. Another benefit from his rough lifestyle was Ako's appreciation of delicious food. Whenever his parents were able gone from the house, he enjoys playing around in the kitchen to cook up several meals (whether edible or not)...his aura being used constantly in order for the young child to prevent killing himself or severely wounding himself many times. In the end, his parents ended up sending the child to the Komei Academy...ordering that whatever money or awards he get from anything he does get sent to them. Obliging by their orders, Ako silently looks forward to the new school life he never thought he was going to have.
Quirk
Quirk Name:
Aegis Core
Classification:
Emitter
Description:
The ability's main purpose is to passively align Ako's body with a thin blue aura. This provides Ako with a small layer of defense from hidden attacks. However, Ako has learned to repel the aura into being a full out shield in different forms. From simple medieval bucklers, to even forming riot shields. His Riot Shield Form is one of the most used but provides the widest space of defense for those he's covering and himself. Despite being able to make many shields, there is a few clear weaknesses of this Quirk. Ako has to be touching the aura in order for it to become a shield. In other words, he can't project the aura outwards away from himself. Another factor is that depending on the Shield Form being used the weight and durability of the shield is dictated by the form and also factored by how widespread it is/how much area it takes up. The only weird exception to the rule of the durability of the shield is the Riot Shield Form. Finally, this aura passively drains his hunger levels...starving Ako and can make him unconsciously eat all the food at meals at times from how hungry he can get. Oh and almost forgot, he can't/won't fight back. As in, this Quirk and himself, he won't strike back at someone. At most he can shove/push someone or something...never striking back legitimately.
she is an emotional extrovert and a intellectual introvert. She is often found in the crowds of people talking among them and bringing life into a room. She is never afraid to speak her mind and when it comes to facts and proving points she is insensitive to any pathos reasoning. Su-Mi can be blunt but she is often humorous and always open to befriend people. She can be clumsy and forgetful. Su-Mi can get too caught up into her emotions and abandon all reason and logic. she is cynical and optimistic as well as creative. Though her medication can cause mood swings her mood is fairly consistant unless tempered or panicked.
Background:
Su-Mi grew up in seoul,Korea. Su-mi grew up not knowing she even had a quirk. Throughout grade school she had been left out of most of the seminars for power consolation and support groups. All her life she had wanted to become a hero just like all her friends could be. Just so that she could be known for good and not her flaws. Through years and years of waiting, training, swimming, running...nothing stood out..nothing clicked or seemed "abnormal" Though her trouble fitting in wasn't just because she didn't seem to have a quirk, it was because she wasn't mentally sound as well. Through out out her life she has struggled with schizophrenia...in and out of hospitals and counselors...nothing could stop the strange voice in the back of her head. Su-Mi was even convinced that her mental illness was her quirk..but she was only playing make believe...that is until she snapped. She wasn't sure when or why..but one session with a new psychiatrist threw her into a blind rage. She said she had wanted to become a hero one day..and there was a giggle. "Hero's aren't made anymore..they are born. And You must understand that you weren't born to be one." Before she could register what had happened, her fist was deep into a wall...and that was the day she knew she had it. After countless hours of research and make up tests she had fully become accustomed to her abilities and restraints. That was then she knew she had to leave her old man behind and fulfill her goal. Though she wasn't exceptional in Japanese she could read and communicate just fine. Seoul Korea was no longer home...This 'Komei academy' was home now.
Quirk:
As an extreme extension based off schizophrenia and Bipolar disorder, Su-Mi can very well transcend into another persona and behavior. An extreme amount of panic can easily trigger such behaviors, shutting off one side of her persona opening another and opening gates of the brain giving inhuman abilities possessed from such altering personalities. Her Reflexes are sharpened and her strength is increased by the amount of her panic levels. When she is shifted to this behavior her reasoning is not as sharp as she is in her regular state of mind, thus leaving her with limited control on what she is doing. Another issue is taht she cannot summon this at her own will.

Talents:
Su-Mi loves to draw and paint. Most of her time and energy is spent drawing in her handy dandy sketch book or being expressed in her paintings. Another one of her passions is debates. She is keen on learning things quick and remembering everything she reads. She can speak fluent Japanese but is best at Korean..which sadly is useless in her situation.
She has always been a proud and confident speaker. therefore she loves to go out to rallies, gatherings and parades of a cause in which she believes in. She tries to stay woke and grounded to the world around around her as much as she can just to keep her mentality in check.
Collapsed from that hell I mentioned in the interest check -- more or less waking up now and getting my bearings. We'll see what happens, since I'm still severely multitasked (as usual), but I figured I'd post here so you know I got the notification about this thing.
Finished everything except Bio. Got to go to work now, but I'll try to work on it during the car pool. Please tell me if there is anything I should nerf or change.
Having spent a majority of his life taller and heavier than most adults, Daichi has some height issues. While he tries to not let it bother him, the fact that he needs to ride in the back of a pickup truck has led to numerous... problems. He typically wears tight fitting clothes and very large hoodies, but loves his large school uniform. He enjoys covering his head with a hoodie, mainly just to hide his monstrous visage. He went through a phase of not using any plant products, but has gotten over it. Everywhere he goes, he usually has some form of meat, usually as jerky. His deep, grumbling voice is made humorous by his infamous stuttering, a condition he despises. His skin has a hard, almost stone-like texture, but is still flesh.
Name: Daichi Nakai
Gender: Male (I-I think?)
Age: 15
Height: 229 cm
Weight: 169 kg
Personality: A loud, kind individual, Daichi is quick to stand up for others when no one else will. He refuses to back down when he is given a mission, and will hold himself to complete it. Usually, this meant getting groceries from the car, not arresting villains. While he tries not to show it, Daichi is terrified to have been accepted into Komei. He does his best to fit in with the crowd, but refuses to stand down if he sees bullying or some injustice. Due to his problems with internal injuries, Daichi has some health problems, particularly a shortness of breath. Because of his lack of... manhood, Daichi doesn't really feel anything special towards females. He is very self conscious about this deformity and his inability to conceive children, and he will try to hide it as much as possible. Due to his large frame, almost everything he owns is a much larger version of what it is supposed to be, and he is forced to act as carefully as he can around other people. Despite his loud mouthing, he means everything he says, and he cares about everyone and everything, filling the optimistic role nicely. Daichi has an incredibly naive attitude, fueled by a life of sheltering and love, to the point where he believes prison is interchangeable with shelter and killing another person is unthinkable, if not subconsciously impossible. He is far to trusting for his own good, and he does whatever he can to help, usually failing and causing harm.
Background: Born in Kyoto to a single mother, Daichi led a completely normal life. He was quite bright for his age, to the point where his daycare thought he would accomplish great things in the future. His mother, a Florakinetic, owned a small flower shop which kept the family in a comfortable position financially. Daichi dreamed of inheriting his mother's quirk, and taking over the shop when she grew too old. He never knew his father, but he really couldn't care less at the time. After all, kids always look forward to getting their quirks. They never stop to think of what they would do if things turned out differently.
The moment went by instantly for Daichi. He closed his eyes for a second, and he was suddenly taller than his mother. His muscles bulged without any effort, threatening to rip his skin apart, and he felt so much... heavier. None of this was on Daichi's mind however. The only thing that was on his mind was the fact that he couldn't breath. His tongue, a massive blob of flesh, was far back in his mouth, near his throat. Presumably, this was meant to prevent biting it with knife-like teeth. Unfortunately, it also blocked his windpipe, resulting in him passing out. He awoke in the nearby hospital several hours later, his mother sobbing by his side.
His father had the same quirk, and had left the country in order to avoid persecution for tax evasion. Daichi's mother had seen the process of Daichi's quirk activating, which took several minutes until completion. She had been the one to call the ambulance for him. And she was also the person to tell him the bad news.
Having gone so long without oxygen, Daichi's brain had suffered immense damage. It was unlikely for him to ever recover fully, and he was destined to be mentally handicapped. Additionally, his left lung had suffered shock from the event, resulting in a shortness of breath and severe asthma. Daichi remained in the hospital for 4 months, and left just in time for his birthday.
He had turned 4.
As the years went by, it became clear that Daichi had changed, and not just mentally. He lost the numerous friends he had made, and he never managed to make anymore. He was far less expressive, and also was introverted. He began to read almost obsessively, and his small garden nearly tripled in size. He was delving into himself, and shutting everyone else out.
At 8, Daichi was taller than the average man, and weighed just as much. It was then that he decided to join the local soup kitchen. Maybe he wanted to recover himself before he became a social pariah, or maybe he simply wanted to be something besides the monster he appeared to be. Or maybe there was no reason. But the faces of those he saw that day changed him. They didn't sneer at his face, or cringe at his voice. They didn't shake in fear when he walked near them. They simply smiled, and thanked him for the food. He wanted to help people as much as possible.
For the next 6 years, Daichi became a local legend, and was the go-to guy if someone had a problem. People no longer looked at him with fear, but with gratitude. As the years went on, this sense of justice and satisfaction became addictive, to the point where Daichi had selected his future career.
Professional hero.
Daichi spent the next year studying furiously, and spending every waking moment learning. After months of studying and a grueling exam period, he successfully managed to make it into the famous Komei Academy, bottom of his class. After a tearful goodbye with his mother, Daichi left for Musutafu, to show the world that he wasn't just some monster.
Quirk: Monstrous Physiology
Classification: Mutant
Description: Daichi has an incredibly strong body. Something such as a regular punch would probably break a person's hand, and it would take a large number of small caliber bullets to take him down. Strength wise, it would be easy for him to throw cars, let alone punches. Something large, like a building or truck, however, is beyond his capabilities. He is able to see in the dark, and can jump three meters vertically in the air. He is 50% stronger in the dark.
Unfortunately, Daichi's quirk comes with some side effects. He is, compared to his classmates, mentally dim, and his quirk reshaping his mouth has caused him to develop a severe stutter. Additionally, subtlety is a foreign concept for him, as simply walking generates a lot of noise. Speed is also unknown to him, as he has horrible cardiovascular strength, to the point where jumping places would be faster. Internal damage is by far the biggest threat, as most surgical scalpels cannot pierce his skin, leading to numerous health problems throughout Daichi's life. Daichi has no sense of smell, and his stomach has become incapable of digesting plants, leading to a carnivorous life style. On the topic of food, Daichi requires 5000 calories a day which, while not to threatening in modern day Japan, would be incredibly dangerous in a survival situation. Daichi's durability only extends to physical trauma, and mental attacks are more than twice as effective on him. He has numerous 'weak points' scattered throughout his body, mainly on his back and lower on his neck. These spots glow bright red when he is in a rage, and will cause him to fall unconscious if hit with large amounts of force. His quirk is constantly active, making Daichi gain a very careful disposition when it comes to other people, the inability to swim, and a very low IQ. Finally, Daichi is 50% weaker in the light, leading to his more 'nocturnal' sleep cycle.
Talents: Boxing: Due to his size and lack of dexterity, Daichi has adopted the western art of Boxing. He is quite experienced, but nowhere near tournament level.
Gardening: Despite being a pure carnivore, Daichi has been known to be an avid gardener, and does his best to keep his plants alive. He's the kind of guy who brings his potted plants inside during bad weather.
Foreign Language: Unsurprisingly for the guy with the intelligence of a child, Daichi has an incredible grasp on foreign languages. He has nearly mastered English (Westaboo), and has made great progress towards Chinese. He will occasionally make exclamations in English, mainly for effect or attention.
Situation's changed again. My circumstances got even worse, so I definitely won't have time to read through any information about the source material for now. I'll leave it up to you if you're still interested in seeing what I had at the present time, but I'm getting to that point where I don't know if I'd be a reliable player and I don't like committing to things unless I'll actually commit to them -- I hate flaky GMs and flaky players, so I won't be a hypocrite.
Just notify me if you want me to PM my idea -- I'll leave you guys alone otherwise, at least until I can confirm if I'm truly able to get involved. As it currently stands there's an average probability I'll be leaving the site as a whole. Sort of going to let the outcome of my main role-play decide that, since I don't have any intentions of abandoning that project if people are sticking with it.
Appearance: Mesu isn't one for dressing up too fancily, but she at least wants to look decent. Her hair is an untamed mane of black strands, forever looking like she just got out of bed. Her eyes are a bright orange-amber that seem to glow when she is angry or excited. Her body is lanky and tall, her skin thin yet tan, her teeth a pure and dazzling white. Even when in uniform, she will wear the boyβs version of it with her black fingerless gloves. If told to change into a girl uniform, she will reluctantly do so, but will be a bit on edge wearing a skirt in front of a ton of males. The outfits she wears outside of school consist of army cargo pants and a black sweatshirt as one outfit, a red flannel shirt and black pants as the other. She also wears black converse with her clothes, regardless of school or outside. She has no fancy clothes or party dresses, nor as she ever worn heels.
Name: Mesu Shishi (Mesu-kun is what most of her friends call her)
Gender: Girl
Age: 15 years
Height: 6β1β
Weight: 120 lbs (54.5 kgs)
Personality: Some might think Mesu is a badass by her appearance. And honestly? She could beat someone up if she wanted to. She would if you piss her off enough, but that is extremely hard to do. The girl isn't short-tempered at all; in fact, she's just a quiet guardian over those younger and older than she is herself. Find yourself in a tough situation? Call her, and she'll do whatever it takes to help you out. Very watchful and strategic, usually thinking before she does anything that involves a consequence. Her intelligence is above average on the scale of smartest to dumbest, but she can sometime be a bit clueless or oblivious when it comes to social situations.
Background: Once, an amber-eyed woman fell in love with a dark-haired man. They had only met once in school, and they both fell pretty hard. A decade had passed and they got married, happily moving to the country-side where they can live with their Quirks in peace and without having to fight off villains. They had two daughters, twins that didn't look alike at all. One was a beautiful and rare Quirkless being, with the hair as bright as the sun and eyes like the stars at night. The other was a girl with the looks of both her father and mother, along with the same Quirk and stature as her father. The two grew up side by side, chasing birds in the yellow fields of their plot of land, catching fish in the streams in the woods, or even picking flowers by the woods. Nothing would go on with one of them if the other wasn't there.
Then, they both grew. The star-sister and the black lioness wandered to a nearby town, pointing to places and deciding that the two of them would own a shop together. The star-sister, with her bright eyes, told the lioness sister of her plans to make the shop have cheap things and regular customers, with new stock every month. On Christmas, they would sell tiny ornaments and trees found in the woods near their home. During summer, they could seek sunscreen and umbrellas made by the two themselves. The plan was set, and there was no turning back whatsoever. Well⦠Until the star-sister fell in love.
He was a dashing young man, a farmer who came to work for their father. He had evergreen eyes and hair that matched the color of the oceanβs foam, not to mention he was muscular and looked prepared for anything. The star-sisterβs heart fell for the man, and they both confessed their love to each other. Now, the black lioness did not trust this new farmer; each day he worked, they were missing some chickens, and even once a cow was found dead on their property! She told her sister to not marry him, to come back to the dream of their tiny little town-shop. The star-sister ignored her pleas and ran away with the man, never to be seen again.
Then, a letter turned up. The star-sister was dead, found lying in a hollow pit just outside of town. She had been clawed open, multiple teeth found lodged in her neck and stomach. Most said that she was eaten by a bear or wolf or something of that kind, but the black lioness knew who it was. And she wanted revenge. But she couldn't get it, not yet. For she was not as skilled as most in the ways of her Quirk and had to be taught by her father how to control the beast inside of her. Plus, she wasn't prepared for the outside world; the homeschool that her mother gave her was not enough. She had to go to an actual school.
Mesu chose Komei Academy because of how big and great people talked about it. Her father and mother had told her that that place was where she needed to be if she wanted to avenge her sister. They would teach her all she needed to know, and she would learn how to use her transformation Quirk for good. After showing the school what she could do and how wise she could be, she was finally accepted. Though, the idea of social interactions scared her a bit, she was ready to become a great hero. She would defeat the seafoam man. And she would be the best lioness she could be.
Quirk:
Name: Lioness Rising
Classification: Transformation
Description: Lioness Rising isn't that unique of a quirk; it runs in most of her family. The Quirk involved taking all the power and anger stored up inside a person to turn their legs and arms into fur and claws. Their eyes glow a bright amber and their hair seems to grow a bit longer and wilder than usual. Human teeth are replaced with sharp fangs and a long tail with a hairy, brush-like end will appear above her bottom on her backside. Her hearing, eyesight, strength, and agility are increased to match the ferocious lioness that runs in the Amazon. She can half-way transform, which halves her heightened abilities and makes her more exhausted after the battle. After transforming back into a human, she will be overcome with a hunger for meat and exhaustion, which makes her need to sit down for a while. Her weaknesses from this Quirk are usually tiny distractions (i.e. birds, mice) that will take her off course from what she should be doing and to chase after the creature. Another weakness of hers is blood or anything relating to injuries. Even though lions and such should be accustomed to blood, it makes her nauseated and sick to her stomach, whether she wants it to or not.
Talents:
β’ Art & Crafts - After many years of fantasizing of the shop they would have, Mesu and her sister began to learn how to knit, crochet, sew, and make works of art. They would make tiny hats for their dolls, scarves for their parents, and even fingerless gloves (they weren't that good) for each other. Mesu still wears those black gloves the star-sister made for her, in memory of why she was at Komei and what she was fighting for.
β’ Cooking - Give her a pot, a spoon, some ingredients and a recipe, and you've got yourself a lunch. Though she says she isn't that good at cooking and baking, she isn't half bad, and her cooking is worth a try. She used to make lunch for her sister when they were about to go on a day long adventure. She knows how to make only American, Japanese, and French food, since her parents are from France and America, and she lived in Japan her whole life.
(forgot I was tagged in this sorry here's my character)
@Aladdin sanityLooks a lot cleaner good job, also does this mean she is still able to receive damage in this mode despite her increased strength and reflexes.
Once those from interest check in so we can get a head count, after that we can get an estimate.

yes of course. She is not invincible so can be damaged with a great deal of force. Yeah alright. I hope this is ok. Sorry for the trouble.
