[Love Less] | In the Game of Love, Everyone Loses

Premise:

This story takes place in New York, NY and focuses on complete strangers who all share one thing in common: They are incapable of feeling love. Even if someone’s personality is bubbly and lively, or someone who is a heartbreaker and player, they all can’t seem to actually love anyone romantically. These strangers who share the same unique problem happen to end up all meeting each other as if it was destined. Ever since then, their fates intertwine and like a thread: can be sparse and fragile.
But the journey to find love isn’t always happy and warming. There’s always going to be heartbreak, drama, and suspense. People will get hurt and some might even end up not finding any love at all. Will this crowd with dead hearts find someone that can make it skip a beat?

*** This RP WILL most likely have a pre-determined end point. The story won’t be short but it also isn’t going to drag on forever. I will set up “Chapters” based on the time the story takes place (Christmas arc, New Years, Valentines, etc.) If a continuation after the ending is highly requested, then I will set up a sequel***

Hello there!
This is an idea that I have been playing around with for a while. _{i even made a banner for it ;-;}
But I want to see if people are actually interested in participating before I develop the idea any further. So far I have the introduction done and about 3 "arcs" planned and if more than 4 or so people are interested and we get the ball rolling I'll have more planned until we reach the final arc. This also isn't rated R but I would still consider it a bit mature so if you want to do anything 18+ keep it in the pms.) I'll post more rules when I actually post the OOC.

@KimmiNinja So...everyone is aromantic? Because having a significant other (even if recently broken up with) would imply that either they did, or there was some less-than-truthfulness going on, or they were using the person, or...something, at least. Or they just haven't found the right person /yet/? If the endgame is finding someone, that implies not actually full aro. Also it sounds like they may need to desire to find someone they love romantically for the plot to work, which is probably not exactly aro either. *thoughtful*

No idea if I'm actually interested, but I'm certainly curious. ^.^;

great question ! I actually considered Aromantic but it sort of didn't fit with what I had in mind. Also, I didn't want to jump into it and misrepresent it.
To explain it the best I can I'll describe it that the characters have some sort of "hole in their heart" that needs to be filled in some sense. Because they never had the feeling of romantic love - but have seen it in others they skew it and get into relationships with others because of what they see. In my introductory post I wrote up it's possible that they would get into a relationship out of convenience but the relationships are on a minuscule level that never gets too far. (Which is why everyone starts out single in the beginning of this story). I don't want to spoil too much but in the end, some people might end up not finding a person but still filling in that hole.

So in short the characters are not aromantic (though someone can write their end as them identifying as aro). But that they feel/know they are missing something they should have and want to desire something romantically. (Though it's all up to how the characters are written)

I hope this clears up some things for you, to be honest it was a bit confusing to put it all together and it's still a story that's a work in progress.

@KimmiNinja WEll, if they can and have been in relationships for whatever reason, it's entirely possible that their current circumstance is in one. But for ease of plot, I can see why you'd prefer not.

Hm. I'm gonna just...lurk for a while and see if anything spins up in my head. I have an ace/aro or two, but I'm not sure if I have anyone for this, and I don't currently have any ideas. At least. Not without a fantasy setting. Though I could redraft Cas and make a new char with her base...hm. *ponders*

Yeah the reason at the moment why everyone is single at the beginning of the story is because of how the introduction is written. I don't want to spoil anything though, but it's totally fine if you're hesitant right now, I can reserve a spot for you to jump in and what not even if we do start. And if you want I can tag you as well when I put the OOC up :)
