Flying Stag had adapted to the new world in record time. He didn't care for technology, but when he had to get around he used his last known relative's beat up old truck. It was an eighties model and only had one headlight, so Stag had to drive it during the daytime to avoid getting arrested. He saw how the world had changed, now with more than just white Europeans running around America. The guy in the passengers seat in his truck snoring was Hector, a somewhat pale young man with shaggy hair. A few weeks ago Hector made himself known to the Super Chief during a casino fire on a nearby reservation. He calls himself the Silver Scarab. Surely the two of them had the power and morals to be accepted into the Justice League sooner than later.
"Hector...? Hector are you hungry? I was thinking about stopping somewhere for food...." Stag said to the other guy as the truck passed a road sign.
Hector groggily stirred from his sleep as it took a moment for Stag's words to be fully comprehended by Hector's groggy mind. He rose from his contorted sleeping position against the window and gave a loud yawn before answering Stag's question.
"I could go for some grub." Hector said patting his stomach to emphasize his point. "What time is it? You ever tried pancakes?" Hector asked curiously as he stared out the window for a moment to check where the sun was and to see if it was clearly too late for a breakfast menu at a small diner or McDonalds along the road.
"I've been in this new world for awhile now, Standing Bear showed me many things. I like Burger King over McDonalds, don't care for 'football', and I find computers too complicated. However, we will try and find you pancakes my friend..." Super Chief explained.
They had passed another road sign on the highway.
Gotham - 76 miles
Metropolis - 112 miles
Albany - 43 miles
"I look forward to seeing this 'Mohawk River'..." Stag continued, "There's a food exit up ahead, any of those look good to you Hector?" he asked.
