[OOC] Dawn of a New Age - The Return of Magic

Okay, this RP has been suffering problems, namely:

- I may have portrayed the US Gov't as a bit too unreasonable.
- Most of the PCs broke under pressure.
- The GMPC and NPCs also broke under pressure, or at least found themselves inadequate.
- The Main Quest and goals were a bit badly conceived.
- Let's face it, after breaking under pressure, the PCs turned a bit psycho.

So, who wants this rebooted? Either a 'soft reboot', in which case we timeskip while retconning out some things, or a 'hard reboot', aka a new game? A 'hard reboot' will allow us to get more players as well.

-In one instance, we didn't write protagonists or snowflakes so that's to be expected we wrote characters

-Eh, its a rp
-Eh, bit hard to tell, nothing super psycho yet except for Leon, who was apparently already that way.

lets face it everything tends to portray the US Gov like that. considering what they do all depends on the current pres lol. Some would let things be, while others would attempt to use as weapons. among other things.

ya kind of agree with eklispe most of us didn't make protagonist types, most of the characters had some kind of badside to begin with lol.

the story is kind of all over the place a bit, I original thought things would build up instead of instantly all hell breaking loose at the beginning, but eh (shrugs).

what ever you decide to do I'll still be around.

- Mitsuki was dealing with things without even being worried. Something needed to make her have some kind of reaction to all that.
- They're humans as well XD
- I don't know how to answer to this
- After a mind-breaking experience Mitsuki had 2 choices: either break down in an catatonic state or just explode.

That being said I don't care how/if we reboot, I'll be around for w.e (2)

- I failed to clarify this in the last RP, but the current US President is different from IRL.
- The US Government will be more clearly divided into factions based on their view of Magi.
- More 'antagonist' factions will be added.
- The Malakim are still around, but not the Tablets of Ararat.

Perhaps we should make up a theme where the characters were divided from this RPs events, and they finally reunite after presuming each ther dead or lost? I want to have Marcus give Gavin and Mitsuki a big hug.

Well, I meant where it starts. We might need to have a out-of-rp event take place that gives our characters a reason to know each other extensively and developed together as good friends, making it more hard hitting. Say an ambush, some sort of freak accident or an assault by the Splinter Group in the organisation.

I'd be down with making many antagonist factions.

Ah, I have my own ideas, already.

Basically, small-scale conflict between Magi and Nonmagi, with both sides keeping up the masquerade.

Oh! And I think that I should rule that all Humans have a 'Divine Spark' inside them, and that the Malakim only give people the 'user's manual' for it.

I should have allowed you guys to try and find a solution to the problems presented to you, instead of giving up running this version of the game.

In other worlds, I was wrong to try and reboot the game just because something bad happened.

Guys, Nonmagi can no longer learn Magic; Magic now requires dedication to the wellbeing of the majority of people the caster knows, aka a desire to improve the world, even if misguided.
