I finally managed to update all the scenarios, that should give everyone plenty to chew on. I will be unavailable over the weekend, but I will be back in a few days and ready to collab and work with you guys. For now, you'll have to either collab with each other or respond to everything on your own though.

This post is where the Stepstone's saga begins.

The group split into three, Aemon heading to meet Lord Kurzon. Taria and Ellion were with that group, so Miri could very well have gone there. They had a fight and eventually headed to the pirate den where they met up with Visenya and Viserys.

My thoughts on the latest episode! (I wrote this on another forum but decided to post here too. Wee!)

As soon as I saw the title I knew there was going to be death. To be honest, most of my feels were for Asha and Theon this round. Ellaria and her daughter's punishment seemed... really tame to be honest. I mean, the poetic justice, but still. It wasn't something that I was all teary or feelsy for. To be honest, I felt Cersei was fine there. Ellaria did kill Myrcella for no reason.

Another poetic justice was Lady Olena dying... and I was happy that she went out as she did, confessing to what she did when she knew nothing more could happen to her.

I didn't expect Bran in Winterfell, I had expected Arya. It was a touching reunion, especially knowing how long it's been since they've seen each other. Bran seems weird but I reckon that's normal after his crash course lol. I'm hoping Arya joins up soon enough!

I have to say X3 I'm proud of Sam. By far my favourite part of the entire episode.

Lastly is Dragonstone. I have to say, I loved Davos' introduction of Jon. It just made all Dany's titles seem so useless. :"D and then how he started to speak in a heightened manner about what Jon has done for the people of the North. Hmm, I am glad Jon stuck to his guns. It would be very easy for him to bend the knee... but why? I'm glad that Tyrion spoke some sense into Dany, and that they'll get to mining the glass.

Damn, House Tyrell got wrecked. Sorry man, that was a rough downfall to the main bloodline. All your gold stolen to boot as well. The one thing I found interesting though, was how even at her end, Lady O was a boss. She straight up told Jamie that she killed that turd Joffrey. Odd question as well, Lady O mentioned that combat was never the main forte (excluding a Loras). Is the Tyrell army, at least those under the direct control of Tyrell armies, a sort of paper tiger? Lord Tarly is a renowned general, and I would assume his levies are well trained to suit his personality, but what about the Tyrell levies, are they more so men in shiny armor, or were the Lannister forces just super totes strong because of Tywin?

Hope you are well, and I was curious @DrunkasaurusRex@MrDidact@bloonewb if Ser Aerion could ask the big boss to yield. You know, rather than spill blood, ask her to surrender, that she would be treated with honor and dignity, and face a trial or the law, rather than dying in some backwater island building. If thats ok of course. For me to ask it at least.

I think it was more a matter of them being caught off guard. Clearly, the Tyrell armies have some bite to them - if only by sheer size, but from the looks of things the Lannisters caught them completely off guard. Highgarden probably had a minimal garrison at best, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Tyrell forces were off somewhere completely different, mustering to repel a more... conventional assault - rather than something that deep within their territory.

Of course, Tywin's training certainly would have helped a great deal - Mace Tyrell was kind of... a crap military commander, to put it bluntly, and if he was in charge of the overall training, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if that meant the Reach armies were sorely outmatched by those of the Westerlands. However, we don't know for sure how extensive Mace Tyrell's incompetence extended, sooo...

You'd only assume that basically, the entirety of the Tyrells basically didn't fall under Olenna, or if they did, they're dead. It's a weird one- given that Garlan/Willas are written out a little. If the Lannisters were cheeky enough (which they were), they'd probably get away with it, and steal all the gold in the process too, which is what they did. I'd imagine the Tyrell armies aren't a paper cannon- they are 80,000 men worth out of 80,000 men worth, whereas the Lannisters and Starks seem like they can punch above their weight, and caught unawares, divided, Lordless, and with chaos, you could seperate it which I'd assume so.

In this RP atm, under a strong chain of command (there's at least four to six men you'd have to kill in four different places) the Tyrells are enough to be feared and the whole network held together. Willas is not a strong commander, but Garlan was- and as he grew older and after the war ended, he would have probably justified a bit of force, modernised it particularly in the form of retinues and rallied forces across the rosy realm.

Keep in mind the show never mentions Willas or Garlan- canonically, what I have so far on the history of House Tyrell is written out a little differently with that never actually happening to Highgarden, just due to those absences of characters and that change of fate. I can justify it slightly by saying that it's why Dickon Tarly isn't dead (his dad probably joined Willas, not the Crown), nor the whole Reach completely destitute (25 years wouldn't be enough to recover what they just did, if it was ALL the gold).

Damn, I'm gonna miss House Tyrell. I'm a sucker for diplomatic, playing-it-safe, PR-savvy, delicate-themed dynasties. Plus,
Olenna was da best. She got a dignified finale, though, so that's nice.

Also, going by Daenerys and Sansa, I feel like the show's writers still haven't figured out how to compellingly write heroic female political leaders (Cersei is still pretty much on point). Sansa is my favorite character in both the books and the show, and she's been getting a few good lines of dialogue since the first episode of this season, but nothing really substantial, and much of the "political insight" she's been given as dialogue sounds like shallow platitudes. Dany has been given a lot of "moments" that are meant to show that she's this great, powerful and inspiring figure, but I feel like the writing hasn't really earned it.
