Other Features:

Nationality:
Home:
(Location as in city, state and type as in mansion or pay by the week slum or ratty looking pickup with camper shell or even homeless.)
Job / Career:
(How do you pay for home, food, clothes, etc?)

Education / Past Career(s)
Provide a few details here especially if you are some sort of a professor / teacher or professional. This is where you can list prior military service.

Background
This is the life you used to live. You may include a second section for the life of your new identity if you begin as an angel with a new one. (The old movie Heaven Can Wait would give a good idea of how that might work. If you haven’t, basically an angel takes a guy a split second too soon when he was supposed to live. So now Heaven has to find the guy a new life with as little disruption to his old one as possible.)

Personality
Narrative and/or lists of Likes/Dislikes/Quirks/etc ...

Other stuff
If you have a puppy or cat - or always have pigeons hanging around expecting to be fed, note them here. Also, make a note of unusual gear that you usually have. This is a good spot to list that beat up old classic car that backfires every time you start it up - or the awesome skateboard or roller blades you never part with.

Please bear in mind that if we are going to RP together we should probably be living in the same area. I am from the USA. I have characters in mind that live in Albuquerque, NM and New Orleans, LA.

Finally ... for the Title of your Character add what they are (ie Angel, Mortal...) example: John Smith - Angel

Alexander Kristofer-Rios
Male | 18 | Angel

Basics
Ethnicity: White
Hair: Black (dyed, naturally brown)
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5'10
Build: Skin and bones
Other Features: Usually has dark circles under his eyes

Lifestyle
Home: Born and raised in Abita Springs, LA: lives in a small townhouse with his Aunt June
Job / Career: Works part-time at Seeker & Guides, the local (read: only) Wiccan bookshop and coffee emporium
Education / Past Career(s): Currently a high school senior at Fontainebleau High School. Dreams of someday going to Juilliard for his acting degree.

The Story So Far
Personality: Alexander is a living theater kid stereotype-- loud, obnoxious, melodramatic, emotive, and pretentious as hell. Woe seems to constantly be him, especially in his large and extremely normal Louisiana public high school. He is obsessed with poetry and old-fashioned literature (the more famous and melancholic, the better) and can recite his favorite poets from memory, often for longer and at a louder volume than anyone around him would like for him to. His twin interests in the occult and expensive coffee led him to his current position at Seeker & Guides, where he sweeps floors, puts away books, dusts ancient skulls, takes advantage of employee discounts, and loudly complains about customers to Joanne, the snarky old lady who runs the place. He likes to view himself as the misunderstood loner, too brilliant and unique to be understood by his peers. Most of the theater department and poetry club seem to like him anyways.

When he is not busy with work or school, Alexander enjoys spending time in the natural parks around Abita Springs-- he knows a surprising amount about the Native American history of the area and the local mythologies, mostly through Old Lady Joanne's stories. He writes his own (mediocre) poetry and (surprisingly good) screenplays, and is tangentially involved with the Abita Springs creative community as a result. As of late, he has decided to pick up jewlry-making classes with his aunt and is enjoying them more than he'd like to admit.

Likes: Anne Rice novels, show tunes, wearing capes in public for no good reason, burning incense, creative writing, thrift shopping, mint chip ice cream, rainstorms, experimental cinema
Dislikes: Running, calculus, temperatures above eighty degrees, sitcoms, staunch Republicans, the thematic arguments of Atlas Shrugged (though he admits that Rand's prose is gorgeous)

Background: Alexander was born and raised in rural Louisiana, much to his chagrin. When he was two years old, Alexander's mother was incarcerated for life on seven charges of murder that she claims to this day were false accusations. As a result, he was placed in the custody of his mother's sister, Jane, a big-game hunter-turned-social worker who owns exactly eleven separate guns and knows how to use them all (despite never taking them out of her gun safe at any point in Alexander's memory). Aunt Jane was never a fan of her sister and only lets her see Alexander twice a year, which is fine by him, thank you very much. Neither Alexander nor Jane know who Alexander's father was, and his last name came from the man his mother was dating at the time of his birth (despite the fact that Alexander was in no way related to him).

Despite presenting himself as both very intelligent and very eccentric from an early age, Jane insisted on keeping Alexander in the public school system on the grounds that it would "teach him to deal with normal folks, even if he'll never be a normal folk himself." She doesn't seem to mind his motormouth or his odd taste in media consumption, and they get along as well as any child and parental figure could hope to: they marathon Downton Abbey on the weekends, bicker over whose turn it is to wash the dishes, and attend jewelry classes together (even if Alexander vehemently denies it when his classmates ask if he does).

While he wasn't raised religiously, Old Lady Joanne has made a point of introducing Alexander to as many different religions as possible over the year and a half that he's worked for her, and he considers his own faith to be a mishmash of his favorite elements of all of them. While this originally scared the bejesus out of his extraordinarily Catholic aunt, she relaxed a bit when Old Lady Joanne promised that he wasn't practicing "none of that dirty devil-worshippin'."

Alexander has never been one to believe in angels.

Other stuff: Alexander is usually found to be in possession of satchel (not a purse, he'll have you know) containing at least a few of the following: a collection of Ginsberg's best poetry, a grimoire for summoning the zoologically dubious, chapstick, a phone charger, a case of vanilla-flavored mints, his journal, a pocketknife, incense, and a bus ticket.

Cody Li Greyfeather - mortal

Gender Male
Age 21
Ethnicity: Native American / Asian / Caucasian
Hair: Black, long
Eyes: Brown
Height: 6’4”
Build: Solid, alpha male body
Other Features:
Wears a grey feather in his hair. (No, it wasn’t one he earned. He just thought it looked cool. But do NOT mess with it!)

Also, his face has distinct Asian characteristics, especially the eyes, but overall he is mainly Native American.

Background
He is half Native American, part Asian, part Caucasian. He has no idea of tribe, etc. He was orphaned and abandoned. After getting bounced around he ended up getting taken in as a foster kid, later adopted. He met his foster parents, who later adopted him while run from truant officers. He had run into the back of the kitchen from the back alley and ran into her. She took one look at the kid who started to look for a weapon. She paralyzed him with that look and asked him if he would rather used to have a meal to eat or cut a person. His hesitation was enough. So was the rumble his stomach made. The kitchen did smell great. She ordered him to wash up before she showed him how to make a simple soup.

His foster mother runs a Cajun - Asian Food court - indoor dining / carry out. She got sued for the name of her store by a star restaurant by that name. She herself as a mix of African - American and Asian. His foster father was Asian and ran an auto shop.

His father is now a vegetable from an "accident" involving carbon monoxide and carelessness. He refused to pay extortion money. The same gangs are charging heavy extortion rates to the restaurant.

The cops involved are on the take for the mafia. They hate the kid. Cody dropped out of school after 8th grade to help run the restaurant so his mother could care more for his father. Cody also works part time at the auto shop.

His Uncle (father's brother) was the prodigy of the family and built a solar research think tank out in Arizona. He has since hired a CEO to run his business in his absence and moved to New Orleans to help the family. He took up homeschooling his nephew. It was that, or force Cody to go back to school. Cody opted for homeschooling.

Personality
So as you can imagine Cody has a few chips on his shoulders. First of all he is overly sensitive about his Native American heritage. Truth is he knows next to nothing about it. He has a chip on his shoulder about privileged people. He has a chip on his shoulder about education. He has a chip on his shoulder about cops being dirty. As often as he has been harassed, can you blame him?

But once you get past all the chips, Cody is a very kind individual. He loves cooking. He loves mechanics. He’s hardworking and responsible. He is accustomed to getting up before the sun rises to prep the restaurant for the day .. and staying to clean up at the end. He is a natural chef, creative without even trying hard.

Other stuff
Cody speaks several asian languages - all the ones at the Food court, plus Cajun.
He is highly skilled in martial arts and modestly skills in the associated weapons. (His father had a private dojo. His uncle has picked up with the training.)

Name: Dan Davis - Angel

Gender: Male
Age: 12
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Hair: Ginger
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5ft 2in
Build: Broad, but mostly like any other skinny pre-teen
Other Features: Calloused hands

Nationality: British
Home: Los Angeles - Low standard home
Job: He still attends school. His fathers a writer. His mothers a mechanic.

Education: New kid in the local middle school, he's a diligent pupil and prefers History and English.

Background:
Dan started as a quiet, introverted boy. He was quiet, polite, but barely spoke with anyone. He instead devoured books as if they were all that kept him alive. By the age of seven he had read Lord of the Rings (twice), the Chronicles of Narnia, got halfway through War and Peace before deciding it was boring, and anything else he could get his hands on. Bullies were a problem, but he never felt threatened or hurt by them, so he never told anyone, even when they started punching. But Dan wasn't weak, or cowardly. All the books he'd read had impressed upon him values that he felt people should live by. Honour. Respect. He was only introverted because most people didn't seem to live up to those ideals. He was smaller than most people, so he couldn't just fight, but the only weapons that were available, were sticks. So he used that. He searched until he found just the right one, about 5 and a half feet long, straight and made of yew. It took ages to smooth it down to the point where he could grip it properly, and even longer to strip the bark back. He spent hours everyday, in his own little world, learning how to use it. Hour after hour, day after day, and he was only eight at the time. No one seemed to notice how he seemed to get stronger, his shoulders broadened, his hands became tough. It took him ten times longer than it would have done under formal training, but this was his task, his quest, and he wasn't going to back down.
It wasn't until he was nine that he decided to use it. The kids had grown bolder and bolder as they realised that he wasn't going to do anything about it if they attacked him. There were about five or six of them that time, and they all laughed when he rushed to grab his stick from where he'd hidden it. The ambulance took a while to arrive. Some of the kids nearly died. Dan was fine.
After a lengthy trip to the police station, his parents demanded that he have someone teach him how to do it properly, or cease doing it at all. They took him to a local place, and again, most of the students laughed when he asked to fight one of the older boys. The teacher thought it might do him some good to learn humility, so he asked the older boy to try not to hurt Dan. It was very much the other way around.
The teacher was Masau, an old Japanese man who had come to England to retire, the rigour demanded in Japanese training not so present in local English clubs. It was him who taught Dan the principles of martial arts, that they were created to ensure peace, so that a man might live without oppression. This appealed very much to Dan's moral code, and he would listen for hours to what Masau had to say. He never learned much actual hand-to-hand, preferring his stick. Others insisted that it was a Bo, but to him it would always be his stick, and he would always practice the art of Stickjitsu.
Having spent almost all of his life previously in England, it was a shock when his dad's visa ran out and they had to move to the US. His parents had never actually got married, but they naturally accompanied him back, and they are in the middle of planning the wedding. While his mother establishes herself at a garage, and his father works on his book, Dan finds himself back where he started, alone, in a strange place, with no friends, and a naively high sense of morality.

Personality
If you get to know him, you'll find that Dan is a very thoughtful, contemplative and intelligent boy. He will always help someone in need, and has a strong sense of right and wrong. He can, however, have a tendency to set himself on fire trying to brighten someone else's world.

Other stuff
He still has his original stick, and it is the only one he ever uses.
