Not to mention it's usually in the context of the other partner wanting things to get physical right away. I've cut out those weirdos real quick.

Wasn't he a total mess about Cho for the longest time in the books and couldn't even talk to her normally, much less make any sort of move without having a near heart attack?

XD Harry and Hermione were so perf together. Like fuck. Both grew up in muggle homes, both rather quiet kids. Well Harry gets to be super athletic and shit but he's not overly outgoing. He saves Hermione's life after Ron verbally shits all over her for being friendless even though Ron knows the issues of making friends since he only has Harry fucking Potter. >__> Urgh I love them so much. I guess the idea of someone actually taking to spell books and studying was new to him, and he never seemed to have a GREAT opinion of girls to begin with. Goblet of Fire was ass. Such ass. Ron was awful to not only Hermione but Harry. Ron can fangirl over Krum but when Hermione goes to the ball with him, he acts like an entitled little shit, craps on Hermione's night and makes her cry. Like if Ron couldn't have Hermione no one should. >__> I think in the fifth book they're in the Department of Mysteries and Hermione creates a barrier as they're fighting and she and Harry end up on one side and Ron on the other? I don't remember much about Ginny in the books to be honest. But yeah Ron grew up in a magical home so the wonder to study wasn't there. Plus he was kind of a jerk to Percy and Charlie who I think were kind of bookworms, maybe before the house got hella populated with ginger kids. I do see what you mean though, I think Ron kinda feels superior to Hermione or something or women, I dunno.

I think Ron's insecurity was huge and that was why he had these serious wtf moments of being an asshole. He's hanging out with the smartest girl in Hogwarts, The Boy Who Lived, and meanwhile he's just the ginger kid with nothing special about him other than being their friends. That's gotta sting somewhere on a subconscious level. However, no excuse to think Hermione was some kind of possession that only he could make use of as he saw fit. Maybe it was in Muggle Studies? LOL since the Wizarding World has kids start their education at like 10 rather than earlier like Muggles, I think J.K. was relying on the parents to do that?

I don't even care to remember. Ginny was a fangirl and I think I read that Rowling forgot about her until Harry needed a gf or something. You're right though, Ron has gotta have some inferiority complex or something but he actually was kinda smart in the books but him being a dick was just enough for me not to care about him. The fact he got Hermione Granger in the end is like...sooo messed up.

Eww I don't wanna imagine the Dursleys telling Harry about the birds and the bees. Poor Harry. :|

Well if anything he could just be there, kinda asking about Korra's intentions with Bolin maybe? Maybe accusing her of trying to make him jealous? You think the word "Asami" is even gonna come across Mako's mind? We all know Korra is just being selfish so that's not too hard to write yeah?

I feel like it was just a whatever-decision on her end to have it end like that. Hermione and Ron could barely be friends, and I didn't see any real chemistry between Harry and Ginny. But then again I wasn't reading for a pairing back then, so people hunting for justification could probably find it.

You know what's even worse? Harry had to imagine Mr. and Mrs. Dursley since they were the only 'adult figures' he was super familiar with during that explanation. Good lord.

No no no as far as writing the post, I got what I wanna do down. The problem is that I just hate Mako and Korra so much for this stupid shit that its hard to continue xD I can't write any of this and find it sensible that he confronts her and she fucks with him knowing he has a girlfriend, when she looked super guilty when Bolin came back in the show after kissing Mako.

They were all sort of on rocky terms with Ron I think. Though I read book one and thought Harry and Hermione would end up together, from the very beginning. Needless to say I was so pissed at the end. I grew up thinking best friends could totally be awesome lovers. Nooooope. The idiot gets the smart girl and the charming guy gets the girl with zero personalty.

Harry could have been so much more fucked up, considering how he was abused growing up. The fact he treats people with decency is a fucking miracle. I feel so bad for him, and he gets the boring wife/fangirl. I get he wanted a big family but it just seems so weird to marry your best mate's kid sister.

They are quite terrible. Mako should have walked away and talked to Bolin about Korra or something. But no go confront the girl and hope she doesn't make a move. Oh wait...lol Hopefully Mako find redemption though, I dunno about Korra, Tenzin needs to give her some lessons in dealing with people socially.

That kind of odd ending appears to be popular in anime, too. Naruto ended with shitty pairings as well.

It wasn't WEIRD to me so much as it was random. They went a long stretch of time without even talking regularly, then he randomly kissed her in one of the books which felt extremely forced. Rowling seemed like she was trying to bring their relationship back to life when they weren't even really friends. A one-sided crush doesn't make for much development, and Ginny got over it by Azkaban.

My predicament is that I'm writing two people full of shit and cringing my ass off. I'll get it done though.

I think even in the movies as Ron and Harry were whining about dates for the Yule Ball, Snape was pissed. Like he knows these little shits have a great girl but they'll make the mistake of not asking her out. Even Snape probably knew what was up. :/

God, Harry and Hermione just deserved so much better. I mean if my boyfriend ditched me in the wilderness (I know part of it was a Horcux talking but he could have come back the next morning) I wouldn't keep dating him, much less marry the dick.

I hope so, I hope so. Just a warning that I MAY cut some corners to get through it quicker. Just less detail and more dialogue after a certain point, which will be made up for in the future since it's only one couple we're really worrying about.
